Morning

I fell asleep quite early last night so I've missed a bunch of forum updates.
I woke up on a slightly high number - 12.6, I'm not surprised :hilarious: Corrected and proceeded on to have some food. Took the bins out and shoved the laundry into the washing machine. I made myself another nice iced coffee - accidentally spilled the container of soy milk, shhh don't tell my bf. Yesterday the weather really cooked me and my BG, I did have a very bad hypo with no symptoms. But some oreos and coke pushed me before I crashed and fell asleep, so I will be doing some insulin reductions today. I hope everyone has a nice day. :)

I too had a hypo, after sitting in the garden eating lunch and reading my book, I reduced the Insulin but still a hypo

TGIF and have good day :)

Good morning from a very sunny Hampshire, getting picked up at 7am and off to collect three children from different towns, then double back and go another 30+miles to the school.

Awoke on a 5.0 this morning  what a top banana start to the day
Happy Friday guys :)

@WuTwo did your new avatar eat the old avatar?

Whilst Dizzy would eat just about anything, I'm afraid that if I gave him a cuddly soft toy it wouldn't exactly get eaten but on the other hand it totally wouldn't survive....

My teddy (who I've had since I was little) lives with his teddy friend up on a high shelf, well out of reach of little dogs!

Morning all!

I have a working day, but a student-free day, and am mentally placing bets as to how soon we collectively crash the data system as technically my plan is to see how much of that I can get up to date before 3.00 p.m. I gave up 45 minutes after the students left yesterday as did all my immediate colleagues. Methinks the bright idea of everyone having the same non-contact times may have to be rethought as this is happening far more regularly than it used to in the days of it happening across the day.

In the meantime, either my pancreas has woken up for a bit again, or I've just found the holy grail of guesstimation for samosas, crisps and Jaffa Cakes. Which made a fine and splendid party lunch yesterday to make up for the fact it's a no chips Friday for me, at least at lunchtime.... I cannot guarantee the lure of the chip ship can be resisted on the last day of the half-term on the way home especially if I do a long walk.

I even had to have a Jaffa Cake before walking home yesterday as starting walking at that time of day on a 5.2 with a smidgeon of lunchtime IoB still sloshing around would definitely result in hypo before a mile was up!

Also in the meantime, I've just reminded myself I need to pack a lunch. Non-student days canteen food can be....interesting.

Dunno what went wrong last night but was at 8.7 when I did the bedtime reading. Popped in a corrective and read my book in bed. After an hour I thought I'd check my blood - 11.7!! Rinse and repeat - 12.5!! So I pushed in a huge corrective, thought "Oh b...... it" and went to sleep. Woke up on a happy 4.8

Woss that all abaht then?

Canteen food in general is quite interesting, I remember the time when I was in secondary school and it was mostly packed sandwiches, cups of pasta with beans and cheese with sides of yogurt and fruits. Packed lunch sounds like a good idea tbh :hilarious:No chips Friday? my inner chip loving self is rioting.

By my observation of the weather from my window, I think it's another baking diabetes day where we just sweat by doing nothing. :hilarious: We might have a few hypo visitors today, stay safe :)

He is just totally gorgeous and has been ever since we got him. He's been the nicest, gentlest dog I've ever had - amazingly good tempered even when faced with Tutti as a bumptious, loud, in-his-face, extremely annoying young pup (and three years later she's only just coming out of that behaviour).

Good Friday morning everyone.
Dexcom gave me a high alert at some point in the night. I acknowledged it but couldn’t be r ‘sed to get up and correct.
Hence I woke to 11.4. Never mind I’ve had a good few days recently and I’ve also had a good nights sleep.
Off to conquer the world later this morning so I best be in tip top condition, I’ll start off with a shot of the good stuff and take it from there.

One glance at your profile pic and I fell in love D:

Breakfast sugar went from 12.6 to 16.5, from 4:40 to 7:35 so naughty me gave a correction any way instead of waiting another 1 or so. :( 0.1 ketones so nothing scary. I guess I will put off today's work load and enjoy the sun :)

pizza last night, and forgot my second dose so was high before bed, now correction and basal? since i hadn't had new potatoes for tea/dinner/supper I stuck to my usual ratio and so I was 5.6 this morning. I'd love to write a computer program of all the rules and scenarios I encounter but I think I'd get lost in a world of If's......else......do loops....and 'Computer says NO' o_O

Morning.

Day started interesting with three different BSL Machine all giving completely different readings :hilarious: and way usual low carb 95 gram brekky :joyful: and I wont show the some what interesting xDrip graph that looked like a trip to the Marinas Trench:hilarious:

Anyway had coffee and BSL is back more reasonable figures just waiting for the rise to come but not worried now used to it so can counter act it with out much drama.

Getting odd looks in work, because I am building my systems again (don't ask) while listening to dance music and bopping around in my chair.

I'm sure your graph looks better than my 10 rounds with Ronda Rousey, she won't stop giving me grief :hilarious:

Phew, home! Sainsbury's not too crowded and we got everything we think we need. I got the new edition of Vegan Living which is my favourite mag by far, and it has some scrummy recipes. One of them is going to be cooked for next Sunday's dinner - Smoky BBQ Jackfruit ribs, which involves seitan with jackfruit mixed in! Looking forward to trying that.

Other than that - having a quiet few minutes while himself sorts out the dogs' brekkies (tiny tummies need more than one meal a day).

Sounds like we all had bloods with a mind of their own, except Japes whose blood was beaten into submission by Jaffa cakes!

One yummy thing we got was a mix of seasalt and dried garlic flakes, meant for either sprinkling on meals or adding to sauces, soups and marinades. I had a spare salt cellar (the sort that grind the chunks into edible sizes) so we've filled that with the new garlic mix and I'm going to use it on my brekkie. It smells absolutely wonderful!
