What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @ianpspurs Mrs is feeling much better although still looking bruised around her eyes where her glasses frames dug in, she has an interview tomorrow for a job on the front counter of our local police station, a position she held for 14years, so fingers crossed she gets her old job back.

Never mind fingers crossed I think there are several members who will join me in praying for her. Personally, don't think crossing fingers will ever be useful. Hope she gets her job back.

I’ve liked your post for empathy

I have Neuropathy too and suffer it the same as you it’s blooming terrible as you’ll know.

Wish you well in the diabetic battle
It wasn't till I mentioned to my neurologist that I couldn't feel my feet properly any more that I got a HbA1c test and found I was in the diabetic range.

I get such bad pain at night that all I can do is get up go down stairs and limp around till it goes off. So I sympathise greatly with any one who also suffers this.

My blood sugars had been great all day starting of this morning with a fasting BG of 4.7 and up to this evening not going above 5.7 was quite happy till ten minutes ago when I tested and they have now gone up to 9.1 not happy about that hope fbg is not too high tomorrow morning.

So yesterday - Sunday was good. Relaxed, did some shopping, got a leg massage and cleaned up house. Made some spicy tuna (experiment) for dinner and was pleased with results. Here is a picture of the tuna searing... forgot to take a picture of the finished product

And later when i was a bit hungry i had some nuts + berries with some plain yogurt - Not a great idea as my morning FBG shocked me with a 9.0. and i was reminded of hygiene and hand wash... a quick wash and a more acceptable 6.3 came up... relieved a bit but still fruits, berries, yogurt not a good idea for late night snack i guess...

Monday... back to work... i am often reminded of a bumper sticker that I saw as a kid on some car, which said “I owe, I owe.. To work i go”. As a kid, I never fully understood what it meant .. took me let’s say a few decades to know exactly what it meant!!!

Good Monday everyone

Morning all. Apologies to friends on this site. I talked about empty water butts, brown lawns, grey water being saved and now the Weather Gods are taking their revenge. Water, Water everywhere. Sorry.

FBG 6.3 at 0525. Dreamt I was going to a formal dinner in a "thin" outfit from 20 years ago. Maybe this will come true?

Happy Monday everyone.

Going back in the right direction

Dentist and Optician’s today so shower and coffee and off I go...

>^..^<

And here is a pic of some of my garage I was tidying up yesterday...
It keeps locking the photo file....trying again...
Success this time!!!!!

Morning all. 5.1 for me. Up and about early today - Mr C back to work at 5am making me feel very grateful I’ve retired.
@trick60 I wish Mrs T a good interview today, I wonder when they’ll let her know?
We are having the new wood burner installed today so I’m expecting lots of noise and mess but all in a good cause. Not sure if the cream carpet will survive though.
The other exciting thing is that middle daughter is coming down to stay for a week as she is between placements on her nursing course. She’s managed to transfer her course to Plymouth uni so will be moving down with her partner later this summer. I’m so happy, all my girls nearby again.

Morning...driving rain this morning...I shall squeeze 'Plumpy' into his rain coat and get out for a walk despite the weather...gives me an excuse not to have to make too much effort with my hair & walking ensemble...is it really Monday already?...woke to a 6.3 which seems to be the norm for me lately.

The rain is not your fault. It was a certainty that a cricket world cup in England would bring rain. Of course the weight loss will become reality its what folks round here do - real food = real benefits.

Thanks @gennepher and sorry to hear your challenges on that front. As for my situation it was mostly a case of numbness, tingling and the dreaded drop foot which sent me almost into a depression. I was preparing myself for a life in braces / splints / AFOs on both legs. The hours I spent despairing the possibility of a life with limited mobility are many but thankfully (fortunately) mobility in feet is completely back and marked reduction in numbness. I was put on B12, ALA and other stuff that is deemed to help nerve recovery and I must say it has helped a lot... Along with a LCHF diet with special emphasis on Ghee, Walnuts and Almonds. What i am still facing is more a weakness in legs (i have also had some muscle loss thanks to two months in a leg cast due to a fracture). The pain isn’t severe and is a dull type of pain. Doctors believe it is matter of helping the muscles get some mass and strength back while the nerves hopefully recover fully. I am staying hopeful. Good luck to you too. Thanks

I’ve never heard of drop foot... I’m off to google now...

Good morning good people .. I pottered along to my random number generator thingy and it said E4.. ( not enough blood) I jokingly said to hubster can I take that as a 4. Retest and my ever comedic little box of delight shows a 4.4 off to excel then google I go happy Monday chums xx
