Lots of disturbed sleep seems to be the theme today. Disastrous 6.2 when i carried out my annual birthday check. Probably linked in with several joints being wholly sub optimal and weekly weighin marginally up (still bmi of 22.2). Filling up with protein lasted 2 days and is the obvious candidate. Given the choice between hungry and tired or immobile the former wins. May try again later in the year but today is naproxen and tea day - also sure I must return to the avoidance of coffee . 2 viewers today so need to be mobile enough to help Julie dress the set. As a balance to that I know I am blessed to have only these issues and to have had 64 years - many don't. I have plenty of forebears whose lives were cut short fighting for their country or by illnesses - in a few cases the very illness they specialised in treating. My food choice problems would seem like a choice of banquets for much of the world. I also had the priceless gift of being born into a hugely loving extended family and marrying someone who is a perfect foil for my foibles File under 1st world problems and sense of perspective,

Hope you had a great day.
One more year younger now...

Fbg 9 this morning at 5am

It's gone up.

But I think i forgot to take my evening metformin tablet last night. Last night's reading at around 7pm was 7.1 so I am pretty certain this morning's increase is because I forgot last night's tablet

Or else it is something completely random...

Good morning folks, a 6.6 on the dice, unsettled sleep last night, seems to be a thing at the moment, I think mine was coffee related.
Up well before 6am here Trick despite not going to bed until 01:30...been busy trying to finish all the unfinished tasks here...rearranging the furniture...prints & photographs...my head was still full of what else I could do as I tried hard to drift off to sleep.

Morning...had a diabetes day off yesterday it felt good to concentrate on something I had far more control over...the house...back to such a busy thread...I think I have caught up with most of the posts...up early today...had coffee...now to tackle the outhouse & the unpacked packing cases...they've been there so long it's about time...woke to a 6.3

There was a certain comedic value to the debate Viv...until you realise whoever wins will be PM....are those candidates really the best we have...depressing.

It certainly is. Absolutely ridiculous and worrying too.
Pre-Brexit referendum, just about everything Boris claimed turned out to be untrue. I can’t understand why he is the leading candidate. Unless lying is a necessary requirement for a politician.
Duh - of course it is.

It reminded me of an old black & white film...where the public school bullies ruled the establishment because they could...shameful any of them are in the running ...it appears he who shouts loudest &.lies the most will succeed...whoever wins is in for a very difficult time...in some respects I'd like to see Boris Johnson taken to task for his particular brand of arrogance... dishonesty & lack of leadership qualities...he is the very worst of a lacklustre lot...so possibly I'm routing for Boris for all the wrong reasons Viv

good morning all :)

4.8 for me today

Sunny morning again today so far ;)

Despite a few showers it was a lovely day yesterday weather wise and we managed to squeeze in a visit to mum's , mr. gee's dentists appointment, some shopping, a trip to the dump and a session of strimming  plus I managed to wear something that didn't look like midwinter :hilarious:

Volunteering today so exercise will be 'shed' laps plus lots of 'housework' ;)

Hope your day treats you well :)

Thank you so much for your prayers. An update: I just got off the phone with the guy. We had a really nice conversation and he cleared up what I misunderstood yesterday. He only wants to start the paperwork at this point. He will send me a letter, then I will start getting the paperwork together and send that to him, then he will process it, and THEN I will need to get a ride up there for an interview, and to see the property.

So now I am breathing again! Now I can relax and enjoy more coffee and an actual breakfast, sit back and watch the rest of these races today. Absolutely pouring down at Ascot but I do like the Union Jack umbrellas.

Keep celebrating your big day today! Praying for you too. :)
Excellent news.

When we move there will be well over 250 bottles of wine and spirits to be moved but if I don't find a place for them in my woe what exactly is the point? Boys bought me a very nice bottle of Speyside single malt with a personalised message as a combined Father's day and birthday present no inclination to try it yet. Feel a bit guilty as they clearly knew what my preference was.
The single malt from your boys was a really nice thought. I sometimes feel guilty also when I get given a luxury box of chocolates that I know I will never eat. If you decide to give the wine and single malt away to friends - you will have lots of very happy friends.

I hope it will too. Please give her a hug from me (if appropriate) I live in an independent-living, government-subsidized, senior apartment building, and the new one is one too. My best to your mother-in-law.
Thank you. Like you, there is paperwork on the go and interviews to attend. There is an apartment that can be lived in for a month in order to see if the arrangement is suitable but she does not fancy that idea.

5.5 this morning. Last night it was 4.1 when I went to bed so thought it might be in the 4s again - but I suppose it is my body working as it should and providing me with glucose for the morning dog walk.

We are going to a wedding at a luxury venue in Newmarket today. Have requested a low carb meal. Hopefully it will be. I am taking some cheddar with me just in case it isn't.

Morning all, a unwanted and unwarranted 9.2 greeted me on the old meter of doom on this overcast morning in the North, suppose its my own fault I had some chocolate with hazelnuts in before bed (it was a shameless act of self indulgence one I will have to live with the consequences ……..oh sorry not bothered it was lovely) and as a result high this morning.

Take care everyone.

Enjoy the wedding. I like Newmarket and have been viewing properties in that area. Spiffing Waitrose there.
