What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you, @gennepher , you had me laughing out loud all the way through (and saying Sorry to you at the same time ...) especially when I got to the part about the Shetlands. Maybe the poor man had done the final leg of the journey by Shetland Pony Express?

Thank you, I needed that.

I love this! :D And the more so because on another thread of movie stars' names A-Z, I recently posted my standby Francis X. Bushman, this time with my favorite pic of him:

Ben Hur?
I love his little wings on his helmet!

Good morning folks, a straight 5.0 on the dice today reflecting a two salad Thursday, it's the weekends that throw my LC and FBG's into kilter, although yesterday lunchtime at work one of the lads brought a pile and it was a huge pile of cream cakes and muffins in and put them on my table to share with everyone, I resisted the temptation to tuck in far easier than I thought I would .

In other news …..It's Friday.

Fbg 6.7 for me

Yawning my head off here. Was awake in the night. But I cannot go back to sleep (in case I don’t wake up in time) as I have an early morning flu jab.

I wonder if it will be the usual array of tea and coffee and orange juice and buttercream cakes and cream biscuits?

Our current doctors left early this year (under a cloud) and the NHS runs our surgery now, so I am guessing nothing like that this year?

We shall see...

Have a good day.

It’s Friday!!!

Thunderstorms are promised here...

Congratulations @trick60 in resisting the lovely cream cakes and muffins.

I got a pile of chocolate biscuits (my favourite ones) dropped on the table in front of me yesterday and left there. But I carried on like you and resisted!!!! Even when someone put the chocolate biscuits in my bag for me to take home, I gave them back to them politely...

Mornin an ow bin ya all? Yesterday I spent far too long in my old Black Country town of Humpshire the accents coming back :) For me a not surprising 5.7 today, choir last night and I could not resist a piece of cake it was so scrumptious and I did have a red wine to help negate the effect on my BG,it didn't do much I was at 6.7 before bed, NOT GOOD.

Enjoy your Friday be it sunny, dry, windy, damp, wet, bright or dull.

Morning all. Today is a BOHICA day in my world. Fbg 5.8 and weight nearly back to 2017 levels (+at least 2kgs from last 2 years). Both of those are predictable from side effects of 2 new drugs and no amount of 20 gms carb days has much impact. LCHF appears to be the sworn enemy of some of us prone to gout. This causes lack of movement dealt with by Naproxen and codeine which causes lack of movement. elsewhere. :banghead: Those are not the elephant in the room right now but they do need attention, if only to provide the best platform for dealing with problem #1. The humane mousetrap bated with high end chocolate failed to do the job (told ya @DJC3 ) so Amazon same day delivered 2 cheapy bated killers latish last night. 5.45 this morning, 1 dead mouse. Can't help thinking there's a sermon linking the parts of this post. Have a great Friday.:)

Oh no I didn't - so I suppose that means that I won't get a reply.
You do know it teams up with the liver, and just like Jehovah witnesses, they like to 'Cold' call early in the morning, so be ready..;)

Well a failure on the resistance front from me.
Came home late from work, exhausted
(Was fine until about 30 mins before I got home.)
Dragged myself upstairs,
Kettle on, brew made, slumped on chair in kitchen.

Missus had work in Southall yesterday,
So brought home some real samosa's..
To whit 3.

I could have just one, right ?..:hilarious::hilarious:

3 mysteriously disappeared in a rather rapido like fashion.

Delish.. But 8.9 on the Richter scale, an insulin tsunami warning was put in place, and I went off to bed and battened Down the hatches.

This morning a rather pleasantly surprising 5.4
Greeted me from the meter of mirth.

So happily take that all day long..:D

Don't you just love the parcel tracking apps.

I followed one recently, thought I'd wait outside so not too miss delivery,
I too pulled door open just as driver was pressing our bell..:D

Cant shake the idea he thought I was some sort of weirdo, waiting behind the door for hours until he arrived...:hilarious:

Have a good day all..:)

Good morning @SaskiaKC loving the Thors Day emoticons...oh how true! I am excited to find out which lucky kitty(ies) will find their way to @HarryBeau and am so glad she has her own special advisor.
Last night Olivia arrived & we checked the web site at Battersea...so I am registered with two animal rescues now...we both agreed it is far better to 'rescue' a kitty and we spent an hour cooing over the cats needing a new home so we made a good start...when she is free we will have a wander down to the centre...it's odd I wonder if it's the cat that needs rescuing or is it me in need of rescue...just a thought.

Perhaps both. I know that my KittenCat is as much my caregiver as I am hers ...

That made me laugh @jjraak
I felt something similar because I had startled him so much :)

You have a good day!
