What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank
I am praying for Charlie and pulling for him to pull through. Big hugs to you and to him and his litter mates. ^. .
Thanks Saskia it will be a long 48 hours until we know but he seems to have a real fighting spirit

Very sad news on the kitten front..the little black & white kitty died due to a nasty bacterial infection...had a call from Wood Green who have said the little Tabby is also unwell they should know in the next 48 hrs whether he will make it...they did offer me other kittens but I have said I want to wait & see how Charlie does it would be wrong to abandon him now...he also has other litter mates so if they make it we will still have two fur babies from the same litter...I haven't told the girls & unless I have to I won't...so fingers crossed for the news on Friday everyone please.
Oh no what sad news! The poor little creatures have had such a hard start to life. I hope with all my heart that Charlie and his siblings pull through.

Is the higher number better, or worse, than the lower?
Higher is better.
It's akin to how many or how much you can blow up ballons.one puff before got some air into the balloon...today's scores blows it up ready to use.

Might even get back to running a little more once my DIY phase comes to its natural end.
Yep that's me. ARIES.all over..:D

Thanks PM felt terribly sad at the news making the cheese scones I need some comfort food...little Charlie sounds like a real fighter...Lola was quite a bit smaller perhaps she didn't have the stamina to pull through bless her...we'll know on Friday.

Off to warrington. Facebook post as dashing. Hope everyone ok and feeling good. Hugs to those not

Honoured to be joining the amazing Dr Joanne McCormack, Dr David Unwin and Jen Unwin tomorrow in Warrington. Lots of Drs and HCPs at a Q and A session on behaviour change and reversing diabetes. I will be there in a pt capacity answering questions. Looking forward to it. 'This meeting isn't about controlling chronic conditions by prescribing yet more pharmaceuticals from another new algorithm. This is about improving and resolving chronic conditions with simple low cost lifestyle measures, delivered by behaviour change. If we can understand the techniques of behaviour change, then we can practice real medicine that will effectively transform lives'

Do any of you know if Daisy is still around? Who do we tag now to link info for new members who ask questions? A new member posted about 4 hours ago and so far no one has replied; I said Hi but I know nothing about the sort of info she asked about.

I had no idea why I couldn't access this site for a couple of days. I got presented with a white page with the tiniest writing on the top saying 403 error and access denied because I was not authorised Etc.

I had no idea what happened. But I understand reading backwards they were doing something to this site. They knew in advance, yet nothing was on the site, no banner across the top before the site went down. I thought this was completely gone. Just wiped out.

I have enough of my own problems at the moment as regards the Cochlear Implant, the Apple update on my iPhone which completely messed all aspects of functionality with with Speech Processor, making the iPhone nothing more than a glorified bloated expensive coffee mat. It has caused the Speech Processor to malfunction.

I am not the only one. There are thousands of deaf hearing aid people and cochlear people and BaHa users across the globe who are victims to this update of Apple wrecking so much and causing all alerts to go right into our skulls frightening the living daylights out of us. There was no advance warning that this was going to happen. Prior to that all alerts were from the phone, not directly transmitted into our neural pathways at the loudness level of being stuck inside Big Ben as it is chiming midnight. This update has traumatised me as regards sounds and unexpected noises and aggravated my non-stop tinnitus making it worse because it has incorporated the in the skull loud noise alerts within it. And it has also done the same to countless others.

Apple still haven't sorted it, and as I don't have a working phone because of this I had to get another phone...an Android. So I am learning how to use that, and how to customise alerts so that I get no alerts apart from a vibration. I cannot deal with noise/sound alerts in any shape or form at the moment.

So, I will be absent for a bit now. I was upset when I couldn't access this site and got presented with a 403 error page for a couple of days.

Best wishes. Take care.
