I had a dog owner go one better, I had stopped to take a picture when out on a bike ride when a Red Setter, usually friendly breed, came bounding up and bit my thigh, I screamed and said your dogs just bit me the reply was, "It is only being friendly it didn't mean it" I showed her the blood seeping through my Lycra tights and she still insisted the dog was only being friendly. The new generation of the dogs rights are greater than us humans.
Goodness that’s terrible! Quite unbelievable. Did owner and dog just go on their merry way afterwards leaving you dripping blood?

Many years ago, a pit bull attacked my first Hearing Dog for the Deaf. She had her lead and Deaf identity jacket on. He thought it was funny. He didn't think it was so funny when I disabled his pit bull (I had been told the theory of ramming a fist down an attacking dog's throat after I had been attacked by an Alsatian but never had a chance to put it into practice), and as I was on two crutches I used them...
The big tough looking man he was grabbed his dog, screaming at me...and ran.
I took my dog to be checked over by the vet, and after treatment she was okay.
(I had also had Aikido defensive training on how to disable another person, but the horrible man and his pit bull didn't seem to want to wait for me to put anything else into practice..)
I have to say it was a rough area I lived in then, it was very much an area where you took care of things yourself...
I am still working on this complaint on the Apple update and how it adversely affected my cochlear processor, and some recommendations which I will present tomorrow.
I haven't taken my blood sugar readings in nearly a week now. So I will take my fbg on Thursday morning and post. I have no idea how it is going to be. Especially as I got stressed over all this and ate a whole large jar of Nutella (left by my daughter when she came over from Australia...the jar beckoned) the last few days...spoonful by spoonful...

5.1 this morning. Better than I expected after a late very meaty evening meal.
@HarryBeau I agree that exercise does make a difference to bg, often not the same day but it does seem to have a knock in effect. I get a gradual creep to higher numbers when I don’t do any for a few days.

Morning all from a extremely wet and windy North, so wet it made the drive to work all the more entertaining (including the bit when I was thrown into oncoming traffic) the meter of doom threw a 6.8 at me which I will take gladly as I have had a few hypos again over the weekend, its all fun and games diabetes. It must be because everyone wants it!

Yes, I managed to get her name and address, sent details and picture to police but never heard any more about it though. I am now of the opinion any dog that bites a human without provocation should be destroyed. I have had dogs all my life, luckily well beahaved gentle ones but I think the best that one can say about any dog is they have not bitten anyone yet, not what most dog owners seem to say that they are harmless and it won't hurt you.

A few days MIA, no real reason, just was.
Sorry..
But scores on the doors, looking pretty good last few days..5.7...6.1..5.8 this am.
Gradually creeping closer to that Omad, without any real effort.
Up yesterday, late
Cuppa tea x3
Then on with the house hold jobs.
Moved on to decorating bathroom,
( Well I say that, I've started every where, and
now just noticing a few bits that now don't look so good compared to the newer stuff..
)
Skipped breakfast / lunchd as I didn't get hungry.. Ain't LCHF great.
)
Did have big dinner to make up for it though,
Ceasar salad, half grilled chicken from shop
And an hour off to watch the walking dead.
(Ooh ain't it got interesting now negan's back on the front line... And alpha, always SO watchable.. Samantha Morten.. Pure class, in fact my fav show. All of them are good in it.)

We had two brothers, one would let you do anything to him the other we used to wrap up tight in towels at vets or for tablets and yes that noise, like the gates of hell had been opened.Aww, bless.

Just when you think that you have cleared up all the leaves in the garden, another lot turn up during the night to add some interest to your day. I blame dog owners who use long leads, don’t pick up their animals droppings or worse, do pick them up and then leave them, bagged at the side of the path or hanging on a tree branch. We only had one dog - Tel, a trained working Border Collie - never came in the house but lived in her kennel outside. Cats - a couple, but again, never in the house, they had work to do. Perhaps I should move to Reykjavik.
Anyhow, the wonder wheel of Italian stuffed tomatoes and a somewhat earlier than usual night hailed a 5.1 this am.
Got to get those leaves sorted out as it’s the final garden bin collection tomorrow. I did, at last, give the fig tree a prune yesterday but am leaving the apple and pear trees until December or perhaps even into January. I did prune a large pear tree a few weeks ago and it looks OK - will have to await bud burst next year.

Yes I completely agree. I love dogs but if they have bitten someone without provocation there is absolutely no guarantee it won’t happen again. It’s too big a risk to take.
We are currently trying to get Dennis used to cyclists. As a terrier type of dog his instinct is to chase fast moving things and many of the muddy walks we go on are used by cyclists too so I have to be constantly vigilant when he’s off lead. How have you trained your dogs to leave cyclists - have they just grown up being used to you being on a bike or did you do a lot of cycling past them when they were puppies to get them used to it?

Morning each. 5.2 for me today so in a safeish zone and last night's meal is another adaptation from the Old Country that seems to work for taste and bg. Seems to have taken a year of experiment to work out how to get the best from the instant pot and 4 .5 years to find half a dozen autumn/winter dishes I can recognise as seasonal. I seem to have found work arounds for the sleep and resting pulse issues but weight too near 12 stones (76 kgs) for my liking - although June 2016 results were good when I last weighed that much (don't think that is too high for 6 foot man). So the wooing of the great unwashed begins in earnest. Lord, protect us from the deceit of flattering tongues and lying lips. @SaskiaKC today's pair of readings were Isaiah 1.21-end and Matthew 2.1-15. I volunteer for the local AONB and we did a survey in country side Car Parks of dog owners who liked decorating trees or leaving bags full of unpleasantries, the main excuse was they thought Country Side rangers would pick them up, they put them in trees so no one would tread on them, unbelievable!
@DJC3 I spend a lot of time training my dogs when puppies, I suppose a life of being self employed gave me the luxury to spend the time doing so. Never used training schools as dogs learn to behave when at them but don't when they leave. It's a constant focus and consistency but we never had terriers always Labs, Retrievers and a one off English Setter, when I did a lot of road cycling I would carry the pups in canvas bags on the handle bars to and from my office, when I started Mountain Biking I would take them with me for the exercise they learnt to run in front of me and not stop on the fast technical single track and would obey Close when on bridleways and run along side, yes lots of training but always fun. Interestingly we have a local Forestry Commission built single track trail called Follow The Dog. Sadly my Lab is now too old to keep up.
