Morning all.

@LooperCat Welcome to Brum! I'll wave from my corner of the city. I was planning on a long walk after the most horrible of working days yesterday, which had the most unexpectedly awful end, but the weather forecast is not looking at all promising or conducive to walking.

Drug users often inject there, it’s a thing medics check, apparently.

In other news, I passed all my exams, including the one where I had a brainfart and needed to resit. Which means I officially get to dress up like a giant green recycling bin and get set loose on patients. First shift is Wednesday night :)

Diabetes going well, had a slight stress spike to 7.8 when my results were published today. Elvis is taking the strain remarkably well, to be fair. And now I’m off to bed because I’m hitting the road at 0545 tomorrow morning for a conference in Birmingham. Night ❤️
Well done @LooperCat hope your first shift goes ok

Have a great weekend everyone. Still changing my background insulin trying to land better waking readings. 6.3 this morning with half a unit less than yesterday that landed on 5.

Morning all, looks bright but the forecast says torrential rain at 11
Off to taste my homemade yoghurt
BG bad 3.4 on waking
Have a great day whatever you're up to

@ert, just interested on what your bed BG was and if you split you basal dose

Thanks for your interest, Sue. I split my Levemir dose of waking and bedtime. My BG was 6.2 when I went to bed last night and 8 the night before. The annoying thing is that I'm going to have to change it to less for the weekend and more for the week as I'm feeling very stressed and tired at work.

@ert I'm only 2 and a bit years old so don't quote me on this. I'm happy if my bed and morning BG are about the same figure, I'd like mine to be mid 5s for both but get itchy pants going to bed on a low number. I'm Levomire too

Hello friends
A teeny weeny bit high this afternoon - 9.2. But I'm gobbling up my bowl of fruit despite it being a bit high.
I had a fantastic therapy session yesterday and I was all happy going to work until one of my managers slapped my arm (I also had a freshly applied sensor on that same arm) really hard, he was so angry with me having a sip of water from my water bottle in front of guests. He didn't know that my BG was 17.7 :grumpy: Since I'm not always high, 17.7 was rather high for me and you can imagine the extreme thirst and toilet trips. He is a nice manager but was that slap necessary? He could just whisper to me to go else where to drink.:shifty:

@MeiChanski It could stir up trouble. But no way is it acceptable behavior.

That is a very hard decision to make of what to do.

Sorry MeiChanski that it happened.

That's abuse and is not on

@MeiChanski I would consider that to be physical assault and he and his boss should be made aware of it. He also should not have reprimanded you in public.

Hi Mei,

My take on it..? Unacceptable behaviour from your manager.

But on a different level, WRONG from a manager of the opposite sex..
I'll tentatively elabourate..
Somebody mentioned "assault?" It could also be deemed as a form sexual harassment?
You were slapped on the arm. But, from my past experience known girls (& on a couple of occaisions, guys.) do this when wishing to awkwardly make physical contact & grab your "attention." (So to speak.)

Lol, the guy in the East Berlin night club I thought he wanted to start a fight? :banghead:

Awoke to a sunny but cold day. Bloods 4.3. A few units of novo to combat feet on floor. Pick my much better half up from her night shift and watch Leicester beat Arsenal on MOTD. Don’t actually like football but I still enjoyed it.:hilarious:
Looks like being a day of memories and being thankful for what others did for us in years gone by.
