Thank you, I think my quick watercolour paintings work out best, when I consciously start a proper painting I spend too long and the freeness goes. In all these years I have not been able to let myself work freely on full pieces of art as I do with my watercolour sketches.

Your last sentence @Muddy Cyclist , I can understand that.

I have to be careful too, I know the second I have done one stroke too much, and no undoing of it will get back the freeness of the moment before...

I think this sketch of yours today is my favourite of your work yet...

Oh I absolutely love roast chicken but has to be hot! Mr PM teases me about it!

There is nothing to compare with coming home hungry from grocery shopping with a hot rotisserie chicken in the bag, unpacking it while your cat winds around your ankles MEOWING, arranging bite-sized pieces on one plate for her, setting out a drumstick and/or a wing on another plate for yourself ...

Mr PM doesn't know what he's missing! :D

Grrrrrrrr .. sigh.
Guy calls me from medical center to schedule a bone scan. I ask him to describe what it is. He has to look something up. Mentions drinking some radioactive fluid.
I say, Doc said this scan doesn't involve that so I'm confused.
He (defensive) "I don't know, I'm not a clinician." Goes on to say the fluid is manmade and only stays in you for about 45 minutes.
Great. So you only glow for about 45 minutes. 30 minutes longer than the scan takes.
I say sorry, I want to be clear on what it is and what it will involve before I make the appointment.
He gets defensive again and says, "You asked me ..."
Guy. I know what I asked you. You don't need to tell me what I asked you.
I tell him I am confused. Doc says one thing. He says another.
I try to explain that doc won't be the one doing the scan so she may not know. I want to know.
He gets defensive and riled up.
I get rude. I hang up.
He calls back.
I press IGNORE.

Must clear this with doc. Tried to get straight on it last week only to be told "It's like an X-ray but it't not an X-ray" and "there's no radioactive fluid involved."

Dammit I am not a lab rat.

What a worry, feel for you.

A couple of years back I crashed on my Mountain Bike in Scotland and broke my ribs, a year later I suffered from Costochondritis, probably as a result. The pain is similar to a heart attack and I had to got to Aand E, no heart attack but they made me go through all the tests which I passed BUT for 'completion' they wanted me to have an angiogram. I asked my Doc and his response was, 'I would not let them pump that liquid into me unless it was absolutely necessary' and so I refused. So I agree with you, you need to be very sure what and if it is necessary.

For clarification this is the sensible Doc at the health centre not the so called Diabetic Specialist.

Thank you, @Muddy Cyclist . :)

But I am sorry that happened to you. How terrifying! I am glad you had a good doctor to tell you that.

Morning... up early off to work in sunny Northampton later this morning (optimism there )...enjoying my coffee while pondering the mysteries of T2D...clinic didn't go too well yesterday INR levels too high so back there next week...they did ask me if there were any changes of course I said no...on reflection I should have mentioned I am doing very low carb at the moment with a little I/F...I cannot do the whole I/F thing as Warfarin should be taken at the same time every evening with before/ food...so despite the extremely low carb FBG higher than usual (and I would like) I believe it's taking my poor old blood/body time to adjust...we shall see...this morning woke to a 6.8 and it's slowly rising...I expect to show some progress by the beginning of next week we shall see.

Do you have the inulin in water? I have heard it’s good for bg control.
@DJC3 - yes. I dump a heaped tablespoon into a glass of water and give it a good stir. I started with a teaspoon full and worked up to the heaped tablespoon over about 4 weeks.

Good morning everyone in the quite dark yet not seemingly dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of 100% meat sausages a couple of eggs and a few slices of something called Saucisse seche de champagne pur porc romped in at 4.2 this a.m.

Mrs Miggins brought the Saucisse back from France, I guess it translates as pure dried country pork saussage - fabulous taste and seems to last forever laying in the fridge like a petrified log (I usually ignore best by dates and go on looks and smell) - Blessed are the cheese scrapers for they shall make full use of cheese. Bye the way, does anyone else save parmesan and other cheese rinds in the freezer to add to soups and stews for flavour.

Mrs Miggins and daughter are off to Llanberis today, a reconnaissance of the accommodation for our yearly family weekend. It’s an outdoor adventure centre this time. I already know the walking routes having been up Snowdon many times up all routes so I don’t need to go and test walk them this year. So, Miners or the Pyg Track depending upon ability - Crib Goch for just two or three; not me this year, I will be heading up the Pyg Track with the old yet bold.

Have a wonderful day if you can, I must grab some kofee before dropping Mrs Miggins off at daughters house.

Very sub optimal fbg of 5.7 today which gives an opportunity to handle such data much better. LC eating lacks precision so outcomes are "uneven." Historically, for me, there are as many, if not more sub optimal data sets as not. An analytical approach which also allows for "no one really knows, this is all just a theory" seems the way ahead. 5 days of sub 7 hrs sleep and 3 days missed exercise created the environment in which my body reacted this way not LC food. Lesser festival for Thomas Aquinas today so air fryer rotisserie roast pork it is then.

I agree. It should be clear what is involved.

Morning All. 5.3 today even though slept later, more mystery.
@HarryBeau hugs for the clinic result and trying to get bg in line. I cant do fasting either and if I do manage 8 hours I expect a lot. Good luck.
Sunny start here but very cold night. Possibility of a little white stuff later.
I will make Leek & Brocolli soup thats the answer.
Have a great Tuesday. Take care out there. Stay well, stay safe.
