What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.7 this morning. Less cream yesterday - but not quite low enough. The words 'must try harder ' floated into my consciousness. It reminded me of my school reports in the 1950s.

Today as it is raining this morning we are staying local with doggie walks. The highlight of the morning will be a visit to Holland and Barrett.

This afternoon it's the England France game. I shall take refuge in the conservatory on my reclining chair. Actually I am looking forward to a lazier Sunday than we usually have.

Good Morning, 6.2 so same starting numbers as yesterday.

Thanks one and all for all your sound advise and support re my bump, all taken on board. @trick60 have dash cam but just my luck, clip before and clip after incident are there, the bump nothing :banghead: so I am going to trust in my belief that most of us humans are decent, honest people and clear my mind of analysis and leave it in insurance companies hands.

@gennepher good advise and be assured it's exactly what I have/am doing. I didn't comment on yesterday's art, sorry. I think it's great you are trying different methods and subjects, liked the reflection on this piece. I have also done some on stage scenery painting, used to really enjoy it trying to get the perspective right on the flats as they move back on the stage was always a challenge.

Out for pub lunch with friends, so wish my BG reading was starting lower, will have to be careful, but a quick Cycle ride but maybe not so muddy as @SaskiaKC portraid may help.

Take care one and all, enjoy your day of rest.
Hope you have a good day today and that you have a lovely lunch with your friends at the pub. Bumps in the car are horrible and do play on your mind afterwards.

I must just say that I am really enjoying your paintings and @gennepher's paintings. You are both so talented.

You all have good day.
Take care.
Hugs for those who need them.
This painting reminds me of our visit to Dunwich Heath this summer when the heather was in its full purple glory.

I have really been enjoying your paintings each morning.

Lavender Fields? Love the colours and capture of warmth, how I miss the warmth of the sun and heady scent of such places. The heather on Cannock Chase on hot warm August/September days often turns the world purple and fills it with wonderful scent and buzzing of bees, magic.

been 35 years since I last had a bump. GRrrrr!
That's very impressive MC 35 years...it happens a moments distraction or a slight misjudgement particularly when we are stressed or trying to resolve dozens of things in our lives...I wouldn't worry about if for a second...likely the woman has some soft tissues damage sometimes in a shunt the muscles stretch out for protection then when they settle back in it can be painful...I'm sure will be fine...put it to bed now it's one of those things...hope you're peace of mind has improved today.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. Notice I am not mentioning politicians......yet, let's give them a chance.

Well folks we come to blood sugars my last couple of fasting readings have been in the low 8's I know why and my logic is sound, but the fine tuning needs a lot of work. O that simultaneous equation is complicated far beyond my mathematical abilities.

Now folks are you still with me?
What a talented bunch you are, I like the paintings please don't stop posting them and a few of regulars play musical instruments in bands. It seems we have a painter who appears to be suicidal on two wheels across forest tracks, shinny side up a motorcycle expression. Lastly but not least a lay preacher with a daily quote of the day.

I have no special talents apart from envy of the above with their skills, but I do have a talent for concocting pet and road kill recipes. I also get a lot of pleasure from making children's outdoor toys, my latest project is a go kart. Hand and foot note I also made the Pa Larkin style table.FB_IMG_1580633230137.jpg

Morning...an odd day yesterday suddenly heard my phone ringing just after 4am ...shot out of bed & discovered our emergency overnight service hadn't answered so I was called directly...answered the message sorted things out went back to bed but no sleep spent the rest of the day in a real fug...did absolutely sweet FA sat on my backside most of it watching Netflix...a much better sleep last night woke at 06:30 let the beasts out then back to bed...back up at 09:45 rested & ready to get on with my day...my phone was switched onto silent last night...coffee then to crack on with my day...woke to a 6.5.

ps. poor peace lilly plant attacked & suffered extensive damage...best pearl earrings minus one.. luckily ...managed to recover that this morning...anyone know of any kitten training courses?

Fantastic! Certainly bought back memories of making these when I was a kid, used old pushchair wheels and axles, wore out many shoe toe caps. I have to say yours looks a much superior model.

PS no bike ride, Mrs MC got time wrong for lunch, now earlier so no time.

Enjoy the lunch and stay in the moment, be present, concentrate on the next ball etc. Mez quant ja est la chose fecte, ne peut pas bien estre desfecte. :)

wonder how long that took to "Reappear"...:wideyed::***:

I have several pairs some larger & more costly than the others...somehow they managed to get one of the best ones...this is the second time...the first time it was missing for a couple of weeks...this time only for a couple of days...they're like little furry mountaineers climbing everywhere...bless em!

Yes! They were meant to be Lavender fields @Muddy Cyclist !
But I had a job getting the colour I wanted.
Heather is beautiful on any moorland and on Cannock Chase.
Thanks :)

Brilliant!
And you have a Welsh dragon mug?
My go kart when I was a kid was something I made using the wheels and base of my Silver Cross pram....was a bit lethal...
Yours looks much safer @alf_Josiah

Just back..

Scooter looks good, nice price if i get it...mmhh
decisions, decisions..does mean the 900 has to go..(probably).
just talking out loud to clear my thoughts..really

cant really justify a car, motorbike and a scooter.
truth be told the bike is fast, no REALLY FAST and VERY exhilarating..;)..
shockingly so :wideyed::woot::woot::woot:
(apparently  according to SWMBO .) .but she does have a point..

She's a real "twist the throttle AND hang on..TIGHT " kinda machine
If i let it go i WILL miss it, but maybe it's time to say goodbye and move on

keep it if i must, she said, but i don't really use it as much as i should.. and Lauren just refuses to get on back..
(no dramas, just :banghead:)...so a scooter MIGHT make good sense..she travels happily for hundreds of miles abroad.
( yes i know..Bopund to be a reason why she won't travel on this one either,,..but i'll still use it;) )

Also hoping to get our steph to do her CBT and get some use out of it, that way i'll know she has some road sense AND experience, so IF she wants to hire a scooter when away, it will be an option for her, i won't be so terrified of..
(can't wrap them in cotton wool forever..besides she LOVES the bike, so two wheels won't be an issue for her)

*Interesting while i was gone...

Got chatting to a little friend, short round before i left (web chat)..you may have heard of him ?
any way he told me his good friend Indiana Raak..(no relation)
is currently in the Valley of the FOURS, he hasn't found the Covenant of the Ark, the Lost Ark everyone raves about.
but he HAS found AND transcribed some long forgotten text, and thinks he MAY have discovered the Equally but lesser known 'Arc of the Carbohydrate'

Seems a meaty breakie and your good to go.

i didn't say anything earlier, because..well if it failed i'd of felt a bit stupid..(...Ok MORE stupid )
but i think he might be on to something.

Bang on 5 when i left..two hours later (+ a few minutes) i was 4.8....( 2 4's... in ONE week :wideyed: )
Unbelievable.

Sacre Blue & Suits Ahoy as i believe Derek Trotter so eloquently put it.

@jjraak, I got rid of my car a couple of years ago and then one of the bikes had to go, a nice 450 CCM and then, the downsizing - no more RT1200, hello 800GS. Still a great ride but no cruise control or electric screen or heated seat like the RT.
Enjoy your scooter if you go that way.

I woke up this morning to find myself on the banks of Six Rivers Falls. I have no idea how I got here, but it is a lovely country, @jjraak. :) I am at Level 6.6 this morning and hopefully FBG will, like the Falls and coffee, go down well.
