What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning...sitting here freezing with the back door open while Charlie & Lola charge up & down the garden...can't really close the door as they get scared & come right back in think I can manage another five minutes...coffee is helping temporarily...a very late night to bed...woke to a 6.9 I'm still waiting for Steve McGarret:)

Was out yesterday when postman tried to deliver my Montezuma 's. Mr K offered to go to the post office at 7am this morning to pick it up.

So before doggie walk we had to sample their new mint flavoured 100%. My verdict lovely. His verdict - Yuk. So my chocolate is safe. The only problem is that my Montezuma mountain has just got a whole lot bigger as I also ordered 100% buttons.

Vietnam is busy fighting Covid-19 and I am just going to leave this here for no other reason than I admire their spirit at this time.

I now have a new tune to sing to when washing my hands - getting fed up of Happy Birthday to You and The National Anthem (it does go on after “Thy choicest gifts in store”).

Yesterday I was experimenting with cutting down the cream dramatically. Seemed to lower the 2hr after meal rises and was 4.3 at bedtime. Had hypo symptoms at 1.30am but didn't correct it. Fbs 5.6 was higher than I thought it would be this morning.

I have 14 different coffee pods so at the moment I am diligently testing each one to see which ones are better without cream and which with. Am really surprised at just how nice some of them are without cream.

Neither of those songs worked for me. It's amazing how long I had to wait in the public loo before someone came in who's birthday it was to sing happy birthday to, just not practical in my opinion. Then standing to attention whilst singing the national anthem meant you had finished the song before hands could be washed so then I didn't know how long to wash for so had to start all over again, a bit Groundhog Day.

I made my sanitised hand gel and am pleased with it.

There are more cases in my area dxd yesterday. Parents at a private school within 5 miles of me (skiing at half term?) yet now the Government is only going to report weekly where new cases are. Just ridiculous imo if they want us to protect ourselves. Chances there people use the same shops, supermarkeys, etc as me so I am entitled to know. Having school age kids they are not in the dangerous age group.

What does Boris think is sensible about this, I am not asking for their address.
Take care everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

Nice numbers and good work on the hand gel.

as for the news black out..( yeah yeah, i know, but that IS what it is ..so they can manage it better.,
....only x No infected/died , but that;s better then france..Ya boo, frenchies ..or any where else worse off )

korea has apps that tell you STREETS to avoid, we get Avoid the County of..or more accurately "the UK..".:woot:
because we JUST don't know.. so have to GUESS or in many cases let others guess for us...aka fake news.

THIS is where the govt SHOULD be leading the LINE......it's about LEADERSHIP.

it's an obvious danger, people are worried, so will seek knowledge and reassurance, and THAT should be the govt role, surely...i mean isn't that what all the ads are about , informing us?

They will try to get the narrative back under their control at some point, but just like the BBC found.., people ONCE they discover other avenues of news, that correlate more with THEIR world view, getting people back AND believing what you say is anywhere near true and unbiased, is most difficult.

we NEED good sound, honest advise and transparency from our leaders, and this is NOT it.

oh and my FBG to stay on topic..a non virusey 5.8..up from yesterdays infected total of 5.3..
but better then many others countries..so take that, chinamericussia..:D

Good morning everyone on this splendid sunny morning in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of a surf and turf marriage of fresh tuna and chicken thighs all snuggled up on the plate came in at 4.7 this am.

Mrs Miggins has already gone out - a trip to Whitby with our daughter and granddaughter - must have sneaked out while I was laying on the floor impersonating a dying insect, to the music of Camille Saint-Saëns's Le Cygne from Le Carnaval des animaux, exercising the Piriformis - some body parts are all “me, me, me”.

Meantime, all the best today @OldButBold - statins - refused those a couple of years ago - we are all going to Mu Mu land, justified and ancient or not.
@jjraak - marvellous battle hymn - beaches and landing grounds and all that.
@Muddy Cyclist, thank you for another wonderful piece of artwork and @gennepher - a double delight and all the best at the hospital.
I hope that you all have a day of days. Sneezing, farting and general pain are all reminders that we are still alive but I do prefer drinking koffy myself.

I'm guessing very few sectors of the population regularly wash their hands quite as often as diabetics. If hand washing were the key we should all be safe. Hmm.

Who is that man? All this data and "action" is just a subterfuge for lack of knowledge - (world of difference between those) blind em with bull/data. IMHO. These guys have form on that front. Ultimately, this all seems likely to end up very Jim Fixx. Not a plea to do nothing. It appears that it is no longer acceptable to say "I'm sorry to say this may not work. We just don't know."
Edited to add IMHO

4.6! Beaming!

En route to Scotland. Off the radar for 2 or 3 days. Family dont come up for air - irish:-) non stop talking. Love it! Gorgeous here in Blackpool with clear blue skies, but you can bet your bottom dollar it will be like entering Antarctic in about 3 hours! That's our experience anyway. Probably just been very unlucky!

Happy Thursday to all

@karen8967 I loved the toilet humour:-)

Fantastic Fbg. Safe journey, have a great time (I'm sure that is a given) and stay warm.
