What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Bit of a moan.
The upsetting phone calls continue to occupy my mind. One of them may mean we have to return to Uk to live, at some time in the not too distant future. Big blow. Now trying to fight off the almost inevitable depression as well as the nasty cold/cough.
If I was stronger would be able to help more with the build. Throw myself into it. But the blasted shoulder/ potential elbow problems mean the amount i can do is quite limited. So although there is decorating to do, can only manage about 2-4 hours a day. It's not progressing very fast. MrSlim meanwhile is pressing on with plastering.

Thank god .been panic buying for years....i don't feel so silly now, :)

and on that note a plains worthy 5.7, greeted me this am..happy with that.

beautiful sunny day here in the capital.

(did that once at work, we all had to fake a Mexican accent..went rather well..from our side..

Just popped in, that's all grandaughter is allowing but managed a 10 minute painting today as I managed to miss yesterday's posting of a painting, I did do one thought just didn't post it.

Mrs MC on my case to get dinner started so a quick painting of The Trent Valley from the town Byepass looking at a Sandstone Outcrop with some ancient trees on, from memory as I pass them most days. A5 watercolour

@gennepher love your blue period. Like the watercolour paper best.

Thank you for posting this. It is very atmospheric. A lovely scene. I like the church, and I love the sandstone outcrop. It reminds me of the banks we used drive by when I was little. They were not sandstone, but were red clay cliff fronts that I guess had been cut away to make the road. I guess they hadn't had time for ivy and other plants to take root and cover the raw earth. They used to remind me of huge slices of rare roast beef!

good afternoon all :)

4.6 yesterday and 4.9 today

volunteering day yesterday and we took mum out to lunch today and then went shopping :)

Hope your day is treating you well :)

The doctor finally got around to calling me 6 hrs later than arranged. At least the results were good, HbAc1 stable at 40, Cholesterol down to 5.2 with a decrease in LDL and an increase in HDL. Vit D and B12 back to normal :)

Doc was very happy with the numbers and wants the next year to focus on weight-loss which has eluded me so far ;)

Those with diabetes, especially those with higher BG levels, may be at higher risk for contracting viruses.

Once contracted, illnesses can be harder to treat because of fluctuations of glucose levels and the presence of other complications.

Most of the reported deaths in people with diabetes had Type 2 diabetes, were older and had heart and/or lung disease.

Some artists @ianpspurs , in fact all that I know, and have known, don't agree with me sharing my work for free. Also they disagree with me explaining how I create a painting. They think that should be private, an artists secret. I've had some very heated arguments on that subject.

I do feel vulnerable in myself, every time, when I post a painting...is it good enough, I don't like it, it is rubbish, and that I might be giving too much away about myself within the painting, and so on.

Thank you for your words.

I am glad you and @Muddy Cyclist explain your techniques. Since I have not studied art in more than half a century, and then only a little, I am fascinated to learn, here and at my age!, what is involved in creating a picture. A few weeks ago I posted here about my visit to a local art-supplies store, and how fascinated I was exploring the aisles of painting supplies, something I had never done before in my life!
I may have some understanding of your vulnerable feeling, I feel vulnerable when I send out a poem or other creative writing to be read by someone other than me.

Congratulations on your HbAc1 and cholesterol numbers! :) Good luck with the weight loss.
I would love to know what you eat to get such good cholesterol numbers. :)

I'm predominately a carnivore, I don't eat lean meats so maybe that does it. Occasionally have some veg (maybe once a week) or a... crumpet :)
