What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Mr K always helps me pack up after the local classes before he goes for a drink to our village social club with his two friends. He came into the hall this evening looking shocked and upset - he had just heard that the chairman of the social club (who he met often in the club) was killed this morning just up the road on the A47.

The chairman drove for a local firm and was involved in a collision with another lorry and a a car. Mr K has gone down to the social club as usual but I think it will be a very sad evening.

I am very sorry to hear this. Very shocking news. Hugs to you both.

The doctor finally got around to calling me 6 hrs later than arranged. At least the results were good, HbAc1 stable at 40, Cholesterol down to 5.2 with a decrease in LDL and an increase in HDL. Vit D and B12 back to normal :)

Doc was very happy with the numbers and wants the next year to focus on weight-loss which has eluded me so far ;)
Fantastic, celebrate with a crumpet. :)

5.2. Following an evening of merriment with the family which involved alcohol! Food wise excellent. My cousin (a very supportive of low carb doctor) made a chicken and chorizo dinner. Delicious. She was as interested in my CGM results as me.

We chatted and danced the night away til 2.30am. My 80 year old auntie has such energy! I could barely keep up.

This is my cousin, me and my amazing auntie (who is more like my second mum) messing around towards the end of the night.

Back home now and in bed. Great memories made and stored.

Good morning/evening folks, a 5.8 on the dice after a restrained Chinese meal last night. Off to Rochester visiting granddaughter, should be interesting as she has admitted to having a boyfriend down there, results of interrogation to follow.
Have a lovely weekend all.

Morning All. A very high 6.6 today so you could say a new low! I think ate too much dinner last night. My gloom has been tempered by @jjraak post which made laugh and is quite brilliant. You could have a new career as a speech writer. If they question you about that hand gel mind you dont mention me. I dont want any raids on my warehouse o_O
Couple of errands to do today and ironing Mr PM’s shirts for the week. Mr PM still undecided about going to the Emirates today, I am against the idea. The Milton Keynes hospital didnt handle the latest CV fatality at all well, admitting the poor man on to a ward before discovering he had CV and isolating him shortly before he died. So everyone on the ward, the staff, the patients, their visitors now in lockdown. This just shouldnt be happening.
Anyway everyone have a good Saturday. Stay well, stay safe.

Good morning everyone from a very moist dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of fine blue skies, train rides and funicular cliff rides came in at 4.5 this am.

Appointment with a sports physio this morning, something to look forward too.
Have as wonderful as day as you can. A couple of pictures from our day out yesterday.

Fbg 6.5

Feeling better today from Thursday's incompetent nurse that caused me so much pain. My brain went awol yesterday because it was the straw that broke the camel's back after my week of tribulations. I couldn't even do something simple. (Yes I will be making a formal complaint about that nurse)

I am late in waking up. Had more sleep. And my brain feels back to its normal....

Oh, and Popeye slept on my chest all night, checking my face periodically with his whiskers... Actually that made me think of J...he had white whiskers too...little children would look at him in awe and turn to their mums "Is that Father Christmas?"

Anyway, another blue experiment. My first try didn't work out on each, so I dried them with the hot air gun, and tried again on top of the first one.

A mister was used...no @SaskiaKC a water mister...

This was sprayed and then the blue paint painted on top, and this time it was getting a bit towards the effect I'd had in mind. Will try this again tomorrow.

Have a good day.
Create mayhem...I encourage you...
Have fun...
Take care :)

Brilliant @dunelm
I can imagine being out there myself on such a beautiful day...
You have a good physio appointment.

Good Morning and a 5.3 today.

A family day again today but not until after lunch. So all Grandchildren including the new arrival of three boys and mom, no idea what they have planned but it's always great to be with the kids.

Fill your day with wonderful thoughts and actions.

Morning...rushed off to work yesterday around 11am back just after 6:45pm with follow up phone calls until 11:30pm!!!...the beasts spent the day on their own & managed fine...the first night they had the run of the house overnight several socks missing but no other issues...garden door open while they scour the locale yes it's freezing here but they enjoy it so much...more coffee brewing no work planned just some paperwork & invoicing...woke to a 6.5

Nice experiment, look forward to seeing how tomorrow's works. Pleased you are feeling better, good news.

Great photo and sound like a good time enjoyed. Liked your 'Great memories made and stored' comment.

5.2 this morning - very happy with that.

Have cut the double cream to 50g max this week. What I have found is that all of my Nespresso coffees taste better black. The two Aldi pods need a little cream and so does the instant.

So now have less temptation to pour out extra spoons of cream.
