What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

4.8 even though I had a piece of choccy with a cuppa at 1am

Meeting a friend today who is over visiting family from Australia. Off to beautiful Lytham for the meet up.

This morning shopping for wallpaper and lots of paint. I expect a few alterations with hubby in the wallpaper front. He doesnt want stripes, I do. Anyone guess who will win :)
Ps hug was for Eric... Please pass it on..ta.:D

@gennepher your art today was an interesting experiment, agree with you about too much water, happens to me quite often when spraying with a mister then have to fight back to get control. I'm fascinated with what you might do with the more abstract one, I will watch this space with interest.

I didn't post any art yesterday but had been working in a new media for me, stained glass, well not actually but glass painted with glass paint and the design laid out with a liquid metal that looks like lead. The whole thing when finished is baked in the oven at high temps and out comes a piece of waterproof stained glass.

My sons cottage had a small window in the front door which was clear glass and so I came up with the stained glass idea for privacy. Son Is a farrier and so the horse shoe idea, white hot from forge and the heat of suns rays to represent the heat of the fire. If I did it again I would not have so many small areas of colour which made it difficult. All I have to do now is fit it.

Gotta say this is how my family see things with this lifestyle. Amused me no end though and they really do have a point IMHO. Needs a sense of humour to live this way at times and a sense of other folk's perspective. Lionel Blue springs to mind when reading some of the earnest "learned" posts elsewhere on the forum: don't take it too heavy deary. (1 or 2 contortionist posters elsewhere manage to place their heads a very long way into unhelpful places, claim it's not about weight loss then gush over how much they have lost - perlease:arghh:)

Personally, I am going for wrapping myself in cling film or wearing one of those full face snorkeling masks and carrying a bar of soap and a bath towel

Now there a man thinking properly about this.:D

@PenguinMum ...I suggest we put Dunelm in charge of procurements and requisitioning.ASAP

Can't stop, off to Westfield BEFORE all the snorkels run out !!! ..:woot::***::***::***:

Snooze ya lose...byeeeeee :watching:

4.8 this morning. Am really enjoying the cutting down cream experiment. My Nespresso's without cream are a real revelation. I can really taste the difference between the 14 variations that I buy.

I could go on and on about this but I know will will turn into a really boring post for everyone who is not that interested in coffee -:which is actually probably everyone..

Husband has a lurgy. Sore throat and aching all over - so we are having a Hygge day at Chsteau K. No sign of sore throat when he was cheering on England at Rugby yesterday. He actually does feel a bit better today.

Nope... All gone.

Some Italian geezer I think name of POTUS
Bought the job lot for his family.

Did weirdly get linked to Elon musk though.
What a funny guy...
Thinks he MIGHT have some old Soyuz stuff lying around.. Gonna have a look and give me a 'Good price"...

Though what a billionaire thinks is cheap, might be a bit of a hurdle .:sorry:

Go for it, @Krystyna23040 ... Never know, you might convert those coffee refuseniks..:bag:

And hug was for Mr K... Hope he's better soonest.

8am FBG 5.9
Blaming the late dinner with two tiny roast potatoes for that. Must stop work earlier. But then, there is still so much to do. And yesterday MrSlim strained his back ...ouch. ofc he is carrying on... which may not be the best thing for it.

Morning...an interesting but varied start to my day...Charlie did something unspeakable earlier...I wandered downstairs desperate for coffee immediately my phone started ringing..it was a long standing client so spent the next forty five minuets trying to get a busy custody suite to answer their phone...that done realised no FBG hmmn dilemma coffee or BG no question coffee...not a great start but on a positive note I believe I have managed to delegate a possible journey into the deepest dark corners of south London to a colleague...and Charlie has reminded me there is more to him than his social faux pas on the bedroom carpet so I am posting his photo of him & 'Plumpy' taken yesterday... we are making some progress with those two but Lola will not co-operate & spent the whole visit sulking on one of the chairs under the dining table.

What lovely photos. I am sure Lola will feel.more comfortable with Plumpy in time.

Great that you may have been able to delegate a possible journey into the deepest dark corners of south London but hugs for having to clean up your bedroom carpet - never a pleasant thing to have to do..

I need to back off posting here BUT virtue signalling or not here goes. Grandson loves reading and yesterday was reading his latest school reading book. All about a Prime Minister, initiatives, systems, computer models and climate change - some big ideas and language for 7. Anyhow, as per my earlier post on contortionists, low and behold I am drinking tea with almond milk and eat plenty of avocados. Water is a scarce resource in many parts of the world and millions struggle to meet their needs. Those 2 crops place stupidly high demands on water. My WOE/lifestyle needs a kick up the jacksie to reflect better values even if it will taste more vile. Take off bg control goggles and lifestyle can look very different - which I think is the common theme of those 2 posts.

Mr K is currently complaining that I am making him take vitamin C and Echinacea drops. You would think I am trying to make him drink poison.

Maybe it will be better not to convert the coffee refuseniks as it may result in a coffee shortage. I am also trying to keep quiet about the Montezuma 100% - but not very successfully.

I hope she does at least she was in the same room as him that's progress...as for Charlie's offending behaviour partly my fault after one episode I make it a priority to close the bedroom door...this morning I forgot it was just too tempting for him.
