What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I like this one very much! Do you do it with a touch screen? Or click on the different pens and brushes?
This one was just my finger on the touch screen. I made a black area, and then I used the eraser facility to draw the white lines with my finger. I could vary the width of the eraser lines, and so that's how I did this particular one.

In a different app I have all the different tools within the app, that is brushes and pens etc, and depending which I click on, creates different effects but I am still using my finger on the touch screen. This is difficult to explain @SaskiaKC !!!!

7.30am FBG 6.2
Cupboards, fridge and freezer all looking a bit bare, planning to do some panic buying today.
After watching tv prog about recycling, which highlighted the need to clean our Bags-for-life will be buying anti-bac wipes and cleaner. If there is any on the shelves ofc.
Plan was to have enough in stock to make further shopping trips unnecessary for at least a week. Failed. By evening had found three things still missing. MrSlim will need some building supplies as well, so another shopping trip will be needed soon. Probably on Monday.

Thanks, @gennepher. Good job explaining. :) It sounds like a more sophisicated version of the Paint app on my Chromebook. This has various pens and paints including spray paint, and also an eraser. But my Chromebook doesn't have a touch screen.

Where would you want to move if you could?

Good morning/evening folks and happy Friday to you all, a 5.5 on the dice today, will be buying some burning torches and pitchforks today just in case somebody sneezes on the bus into work. Have a lovely day all.

You don't want torches ..you want forkhandles...:hilarious:

can't match your plains smacking 5.5,
a twin peaks Six River Falls 6.6 for me...:sorry:

i blame it on the comfort eating yesterday...
just a few bites on my low cal (low-er carb) ice cream that rather mysteriously emptied the pot (was only half full..honest :watching:)

despite me and @Debandez discussing this way back at the end of jan and discussing our plans, as ya do...

i do this morning think i am in a little shock even though i was expecting it, and braced for impact,.
the full extent of it is still a shock to the system....:bag:

But hey, today is really no different from yesterday, we just now know the dangers better.

so it's onward with the planning for what happens next for each of us as individuals families and communities..

Btw...the VULCAN (;)) salutation will be MY preferred greeting from now on , if we ever meet.....
can't be doing with that Wuhan elbow thing......just saying. :D

so live long & prosper peoples of the thread.:)

This morning I am startled by a 5.6. I put this down to wholesome cooking and a late evening piece of cheese that was so mature it made me feel positively childish :)

Morning...up earlyish back to the vets for Lola's check up thankfully she seems to be doing okay...coffee first before anything else then I will have to brush my hair...paperwork done just some invoices to get out they will be posted rather than hand delivered to London...listening avidly to the news on the virus in our area it's become a habit now...woke to a 6.4

guess we'll all settle down in a few days, and find our new 'normal'

Take care @HarryBeau , enjoy the coffee...:***:

You are very clever, I've tried using drawing/painting programmes in the past and for me its like trying to use an "Etch-o-sketch" where everything goes in the direction you don't it want it to go in.

Amidst all the troubles and worries we face and getting back much earlier than expected from MILs bungalow, where is all the traffic, should I be worried, did I miss something? I have managed to make a start on Slate Painting II. This time I want the Slate to be sunlit against a dark sky. First picture shows the masking out of Slate, tree and building, second shows sky put in. I would now remove the masking fluid but I really like the effect it's made of the paint on the Slate. So do I remove it and try to emulate the effect by painting it back in, or leave it? I will probably remove it as I suspect masking fluid will go yellow over time.

Off to Shropshire tonight for Recorder quartet then folk band rehearsals, these will be in people's houses not public spaces and yet I feel uneasy and a little guilty about travelling to other areas, come lockdown, which surely will come, how am I going to feel about even popping to the shop if I feel like this when there is currently no ban?

On the good news front no obvious shortages in our local Tesco today.

Thank you for posting both stages. I love the tree. And it's really interesting to learn about the masking fluid.

Ah yes but for a royal flush he needs to mention Soros. We on the other hand will soon be told our man will get COVID done. He may not know how but it is unpatriotic to say otherwise. @Ryhia interesting about eye screening. Mine is due on 18th so interested in how that will pan out.
Hopefully they will have better precautions in place for your appointment.

Morning all. 5.2 for me today. Grateful it is not higher but humbled by the Grace of my creator as I am, mid 4s is where my fbg sat nav needs to head as home. Ideal route for me would be via clean eating, locally sourced (>60%?) and eat the season as a nod to sustainability methinks - can't see how I can do that as LC in UK winter. personally. Why not higher % - ? Tension between this absurd pseudo autarky malarky and resources wars ratchets up daily (Empire Mk 2 is not an option you clowns). Anyhow, I like avocados, salad in winter and holidays in Cyprus - original sin/conflicted much? Great fbg @Ryhia and @karen8967 . Mad world of school pickup later then dash to get grandson to stage school * while builder rips out the odd wall and door. For the superstitious among us today could be a challenge. Have a great day and JFDI with the ginger cake, already, @Muddy Cyclist :) Strong cup of cognitive dissonance for me - tea? almond milk?:arghh:
*Tomorrow now

Morning All. 5.3 today which I am happy with. Well I for one just dont know what to make of the management of CV. My short term aim is to take strict precautions and try to dodge it for the next few weeks while our sick family member is staying with us. After that I dont know. We have a holiday in Cornwall booked for June which is a very expensive stay the balance of which is due 6 April. If we cancel we still pay the lot and they try to resell it. We are going to have to probs still plan to go and hope we are well at the time. Moreso there is a lot of worry for the elderly and their families.
On a lighter note Mr Fuzz is back and pecking our cars and the patio windows. Tried closing the curtains so he couldnt see his reflection but didnt work. Things could be looking up for him as a cery demure hen pheasant was seen in the top garden yesterday.
Have a great Friday everyone. As always all that matters, stay well, stay safe.

good evening all :)

4.6 today

day out volunteering in the 'big shed' today which may be the last for a while, they may shut down temporarily because of the virus :sorry:

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

The guy who organizes the lunch club I and hubby help out at, asked the folk if they would prefer us to close down for a time but everyone said for it to continue. Not sure I totally agree as we have some elderly folk amongst our clients who would be very vulnerable in the event. We have encouraged our clients to use the hand sanitizer provided, I had to explain what the sanitizer was to one of our autistic clients, also gave him an (air) demonstration of how to wash his hands properly, he didn't seem aware of any of the guidelines, didn't sing the song though, didn't want to burden anyone with my singing.

We will need to wait to see if we can/should continue as continuing comes with a risk.

Interestingly the environmental health guy came to inspect the premises. Of course my husband knew him from when he was in business, (he used to be a butcher - not the cheap kind though) so he talked the hind legs off the guy reminiscing while we got on with the prep and cooking.

Fbg 6.9

A quickie here cos I want to get to Post Office and post my friends 5hings from Amazon yesterday, and a wee bit of shopping before the coughing hoards come out...

I will be posting it special delivery to arrive tomorrow, because I have had several things from Amazon, from third party sellers which have not arrived. This has been going on for nearly two months now. So far it includes a couple of books of postcards, then more worryingly antibacterial disinfectant, anti bacterial wipes, some other antibacterial stuff, all from different third party sellers, and sent via Royal Mail. Then there was more stuff recently and it included some essential oils, some Thieves Oil from two different sellers, and there was tracking on all these, Royal Mail tracking and none of them are registered as reaching my address. So who has nicked them on route, or were they ever sent in the first place. Amazon know all this. You can get hold of chat in India, and they tell you to deal direct with the third party seller. But the last three they promised refunds but they never arrived. So Amazon stepped in for me with letters to the relative parties.

Two have still not been refunded from the third party sellers.

I am fed up with this. Ordering online at the current moment and current situation is to much hard work and I am losing money. The next thing we are going to hear is that the chat line centres in India will have fallen victim to the Coronavirus and we shall not be able to communicate with Amazon...

So, my friend's packet is going tracked and signed for.

I now have to travel to the nearest town or city for a health food shop with the oils I need to make the thieves oil myself. Whichever one opens the soonest, then that is the one I am going for. I am hoping to be back as soon as possible.

Take care
I will look back through this thread when I get back.
Also my drawing to day will be the Apocalyse if I can find a suitable black and white drawing app for the effects that I want...
