What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

The home is keeping everyone informed and giving lots of assurance on whatsapp, not the same as visiting but at least you feel that they are making a real effort with communications. There is no easy solution and I hope your mum's home finds an acceptable solution for your family.
Thanks@MC. Just off to visit mum now while we still can. She hasn't been too well for the last few days-not related to the virus! Take care and make the most of your day.

I would rather try to train KittenCat to hunt the cockroaches.

I was going to advertise Cockroach Gym Free Trial Run, but the store was out of cockroach masks in all sizes but XXL and I think cockroaches that size would hunt the KittenCat!

This morning we did Kitten Come Dancing and then played Fishing Pole Mouse Attack.

Was thinking more that people will take things into there own hands when they see others taking ' better ' precautions.... But yeah, re the talks.
The policy being put out is confusing initially it was call 111 for advice...now I think it's any cold/flu symptoms with a temperature self isolate for seven days only seek advice if you get really ill...*** I'm just staying at home unless I have to go to work...I'm getting a thermometer if they haven't all been bought!

@SaskiaKC Defoe book was the subject of this column yesterday https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/mar/13/plague-coronavirus-british-panic-buying. Have a great weekend folks.

Thank you for the link. :)
It is interesting to note that, as Marina Hyde reminds her readers, after 350 years human beings are still human beings -- still behaving like human beings, and still surviving as a species.
Perhaps if we can ever work out a balance between those two facts, we can start to evolve a bit.

Morning All. 6.0 today, chicken Tikka Masala from the supermarket to blame! Back on the wagon. Just fed the girl cats and Mr Fuzz so now planning my day with a cup of tea.
Bit of cooking for today and tomorrow, bit of ironing in the mix. Annoyingly have to go back to town due to my watch not working but will be a brief trip, very brief. Other than that have enough food in for a week or more just topping up bread and milk and veg, salad at Tesco Express. Collecting our friend from hospital tomorrow to stay with us for two weeks. Mr PM working from home this coming week so that will be interesting as tv and kettle noises cause great eye rolling.
Whatever you do today enjoy it. Stay well, stay safe.

You are a true friend in deed.

Picking up on @DJC3 and offering help locally this looked useful

My painting/picture for today for my daily challenge...
I was working between a couple of apps to create this...
A silhouette app, and a sketch app.
For your information, I had just watched something on You Tube on Banksy, so that is where this idea came from...

There is something I have written out and it is always by my bed on the wall so I can look at it any time @DJC3
Here it is...

"Be still and know that I am God at work in this situation now"

I am not religious, but I do find peace in empty churches, and secluded places, empty beaches by the waves, and stone circles ...I also collect sayings and phrases that resonate with me.

Take care
:)

Absolutely get that @gennepher . I’m the same, not religious in the traditional sense but completely agree about the sense of peace and spirituality and feeling the links to past generations in those sorts of places. I like your bedside quote too, just seeing the words ‘be still’ creates a calmness thank you for sharing it.

Good morning everyone from the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel fueled by some excellent crab, hunted and gathered at the market yesterday came in at 4.5 this am.

I am now into two step cleaning. It involves dancing but each person must wear a hoola hoop to indicate safe zones. Just gaffa tape it to your back. A crinoline dress works just as well but they have sold out. No paracetamol in the shops yesterday - good grief!

Have been looking at things to occupy my mind if I end up in lock down and have decided to dig out my old slide rule and see if I can return to 1968 when I last remember using it. Mind you, it needs a bit of upgrading so am fitting headsets and attempting to bluetooth it to the jelly vision.

Have as great a day as you can. @DJC3 - whippet says “hi” - well, I think that that was the meaning. Koffy.

Thanks for the whippet greeting. I don’t think I could use a slide rule now either, but remember having maths tests where we were allowed to use them.
Must dash - it’s time to dig out the crinoline dress.

I know...but I havent seen any anywhere and might need to drink the stash of vodka if locked in gin runs out :shifty: @HarryBeau did well getting some on amazon..I got fed up trying. How many times has Matt Hancock said our supermarkets will feed the nation and have plans afoot...they couldnt even figure out how to ration toilet rolls let alone provide sanitising gel. Does anyone know if its made in the UK and if so are they all on cruises? It seems GP surgeries have run out. @dunelm soap and water fine if in my house but out? Have you seen some of the facilities, on the other hand maybe they are the best chance to take CV on.
Its a crazy world atm.
Dead right about the nonsense coming out of Mat Ham-****’s mouth. I have a pack of bio-nuclear-detol-friendly something or other wipes in my coat pocket and a small plastic bag in case I can’t immediately dispose. Supermarket car park full to bursting this morning when we walked past. Didn’t go in, I detest Christmas shopping.
This stuff can be obtained on ebay and other online stores;
