I love the latest digital painting it is full of light and beauty, so thank you.I started my first online art group teaching session today. It is with my art group. We normally meet every Thursday, but obviously not now in person. They were reticent in using technology initially for us to talk, and I must admit I was despairing up to today. But they sussed it out.
For their first project I gave them this to read with a suggestion we do a sky each day that is outside our windows
https://www.scratchmadejournal.com/blog/watercolor-tutorial-how-to-paint-skies-clouds
And said they could use any medium...watercolour, acrylics, crayons, collage, or even digital.
They don't know my digital painting that you see every day from me.
So I just did a very simple digital painting and posted it just now within my art group. They love it and want to try it out themsrlves now....
So here is my simple digital painting of the sky outside my front window.

So I will post here every Thursday of an idea, the project I set them for the week, and my painting on it, whether it is digital or painting with a brush.
So if you want an idea or inspiration it will be here on a Thursday.
This will be my daily painting for today.
Now to work on this to best present this same subject to my grandchildren. They are getting a weekly art project too
Thank you @PenguinMumI love the latest digital painting it is full of light and beauty, so thank you.

I am completely confused. I have talked to both property managers -- the one at my apartment building here and the one at the apartment building I'm planning to move to.
I understand that I cannot move into the apartment there unless I bring with me a federal form saying I have vacated the apartment here.
I was told by the manager there that the form will be faxed from the office there to the office here and that it must be signed and given to me to deliver by hand.
I was told by the manager here that the form does not need to be signed by anyone anywhere so why can't the manager there just e-mail me the form.
Today the manager there says he can e-mail me the form or snail-mail me the form.
He also said that he does not know when the move-in specialist there will call me to set up a move-in date. It will be within the next 30 days. It may be sometime in April.
I say, But -- as per your instructions -- I have already given my 30 days' notice here.
I cannot leave here until I can move in there.
I cannot set up a moving date with my friend doing the actual moving until the specialist there lets me know when I can move.
I am ready to leave as soon as tomorrow because I do not want my current place to go into lockdown or have the governor restrict all movement (I don't think he will; he has implied that he won't but I don't know).
I cannot make my plans until the specialist calls me, and now I am told she may not call me for 29 days.
I guess the people there think my friend and I are just sitting on our hands doing nothing and can jump into action within 24 hours.
This is not the army. But it certainly is Hurry Up And Wait.

Same here. We are very rural but heard some clapping other than mine!Hope everyone’s been out for the 8 o’clock clap? Daughter in Newquay said the whole town erupted - fireworks and everything. Very uplifting. We are in a very quiet remote spot so just a few houses at it.
Yup, but very quiet here. I am a bit on the edge of stuff here.Hope everyone’s been out for the 8 o’clock clap? Daughter in Newquay said the whole town erupted - fireworks and everything. Very uplifting. We are in a very quiet remote spot so just a few houses at it.

But I could hear it from Liverpool (just) and that travelled over two rivers!!!

We have more or less written off our July visit to France, being pessimistic I can't see how things can get sorted and back to normal by then, but who knows. Need to renew our passports but can't get yo post office I suppose I could try online but more difficult.I am now looking at what Brittany Ferries will do. We have a sailing on 27th April but they are only cancelling until 22nd. Will have to wait and see if that gets extended. They say at present that we can change the booking but not sure if we really want to do that.
I've just been looking at some death and hospitalization statistics for the 2018-19 flu season.
Appallingly high numbers. I had no idea.
Perhaps the high numbers indicated people who did not get flu shots.
Or who got flu shots, but for only the flue strains actually covered by the vaccinations.
None of these statistics made any headlines as far as I could see online.
They certainly didn't make for conversations among any people I knew, where I live or online. I had and have no idea whether the US president, the UK prime minister, or any other government leader or head of state was vaccinated or had the flu.
Stores stayed open. Toilet paper and hand sanitizer, bread, and milk stayed on store shelves.
Amazon delivered as usual.
Restaurants and universities and other schools stayed open, closing only for the usual -- snow, tornadoes, hurricanes.
Friends could visit friends. Families could visit families. People could go to work -- and most did, even when sick, even when their coworkers grumbled and told them they should be at home in bed.
I realize that one reason for the current pandemic panic is the fact that there is no vaccine against the coronavirus, at this time.
Even if there were, I wonder how many people would get vaccinated.
I wonder how many will get vaccinated when there IS a vaccine.
Maybe that vaccine will protect against this season's strain of coronavirus, but I don't know if it will protect against a future strain.
Maybe no headlines or TV news programs broadcast the flu death count because the people who died were blamed and discounted for not having gotten vaccinated?
I think art is very important, especially in troubled times! Please keep posting! With all that's crazy going on in the world I feel uneasy posting my art this evening.
Don't feel uneasy. As one of those 1.5 million who need shielding I appreciate you sharing the fruits of your talent. Consider it part of putting your arm around us and thanks very much. With all that's crazy going on in the world I feel uneasy posting my art this evening. Equally I promised I would finish the first in my @OldButBold Lost Souls watercolour. So here it is A4 size Watercolour Lost Souls entering the grey havens by moonlight.
