eep having to check my computer to know the day and date.
I lose track of the day & date Rhyia but I find the days going by so quickly...I've never been so engaged with friends & family as much as I am recently...will we be able to keep this up after lockdown we've all agreed to make more effort when we reach that time.

Good news..:)
Yes, from the initial impact, the asthma meds have a really quick effect..I guess that corresponds with how quick an attack can develop, I suppose .

Missus gets hayfever, and similar results.

EDIT.found link.

And to others in general.
Not sure if we'll known.

But if breathing is poor
As a last resort, probably while calling or waiting for ambulance, 8-10 sprays of an asthmatics blue inhaler, not the brown
Can open airways and allow more air in.

I will look for the link, but it is what doctors were recommending and doing on admissions to A&E, think I posted a way back on here.

As asthmatic since 11,. I only found that out last year had my most serious attack,, sprayed waited a bit felt no better repeated .eventually got to docs, gasping for breathe,

Doc told me, ten repeated sprays one after the other. That got me to a state where I could breathe and talk .scary day

So blue spray if desperate, for ALL... as a last resort, while calling or waiting for ambulance
10 quick sprays one after the other.
Thank you for the information - very helpful. When we got back from walking the dogs his Asthma Nurse rang to do his Annual Review and he was able to chat to her about what happened yesterday.

Phew just printing our some work stuff for my neighbour next door who's printer is broken...the printer is upstairs in the study far away from our living space...but just had to fight Charlie & Lola off while I retrieved the pages...at the sound of the first chug of the printer they were both straight upstairs wanting to fight this intruder thankfully I managed to save the information...wow they are exhausting.

This has happened the last few days. And there is a second one the other side of the path...

I put a book there so you could get an idea of the size...

Any ideas what is digging that...it goes a way into the ground. ...it has to go, but how?

I don’t want to know @jjraak
I have enough problems with badgers in the front garden.
I have chicken wire all over the place in the front garden.
It is only since Popeye has been confined to the house for his own safety from the feral cats that this has now begun in the back garden. He used to challenge them and then run like mad for the cat flap...
I need more chicken wire...
Or I could tip Popeye’s cat litter tray contents in them in the meantime...

If it is Badgers then try citronella. Other advice here although I don’t know if any of the ideas work.

good evening all :)

4.1 today

another bright and sunny day here so we did some more strimming and raking.
Such a pity we can't head off to one of the places where we usually take longer walks but mr gee and I are very fortunate to be in a place where we can walk round the village.

It's already Thursday according to my reckoning and time seems to be going all 'festina lente' on us ;)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@gennepher - wow that's a fair sized hole, and I thought the moles at mum's were a pest :sorry:

@Muddy Cyclist - the fog area was left bare when I painted the main areas then painted into later.
Very nicely done with the latest picture of the Black Cuillins :joyful:
I think the blue is fine (is it phthalo blue?), it's a balanced splash of contrast to enliven things when juxtaposed with the gold ;)

today's art catch up -
no 1 - was trying for a darker toned evening sky but it ended up too blue - Kuretake paints
upload_2020-4-23_18-9-41.jpeg

no 2 - was inspired by the view when we were driving along the neighbouring firth earlier in the year, a heavy band of snow clouds was moving over the far side of the firth and we could see the snow falling beneath them and turning the hills white as the snow shower passed over. Daler Rowney paints.

My painting for today...
Pastel sky...
Just sky and wispy clouds...
From the actual sky, and a bit from the weather book by Collins.

I have stuffed some wire netting in that hole and I shall see if that makes any difference in the morning @geefull

When I looked at your paintings earlier on my phone, it did look like your sky was too blue like you say, but I am on my iPad now, and that more vibrant blueness has gone. Your sky looks darker toned on my iPad. Not too blue.

Both paintings are great.

Wow, like these especially the sky and foreground in the second. Try mixing blue, burnt umber and a little red for your clouds in the sky, various densities.

Those whispy clouds work well against the blue sky, nice work.

My watercolour and last in Scotland Road Trip Vista series A4 not totally happy with sky needs to be larger probably not suitable for A4 size, took about 90 minutes. This is Eileen Donna Castle, great setting, touristy but well worth a visit.

These are the other two in the series.

@dunelm @jjraak

I haven't been outside yet, but will check later.
But something visited the garden in the night.
I don't hear this stuff with being deaf.
But my shadow does...the furry one that sleeps under my chin. He had been all relaxed and light as a feather, but just before midnight, his body tensed up, woke me up, and his 4 paws are powerhouses of getting ready to spring...it hurts!
So he stalked to the glass door in full attack mode...
Whatever was in the garden was not happy...I shall check later if the chicken wire helped...

Take care
Stay safe

5.5 this morning. Did a lot of writing and rewriting of exercise sheets yesterday and then searching for the right image on the internet that showed the exercise clearly. It takes ages to find the right image. It is good to have the time to do stuff like this at a leisurely pace instead of having to rush it.

I think I read somewhere that it is OK to do this if it is for educational purposes. Of course on my website I only use images I have permission to use - so I am at least completely above board there.
