What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning...I've got so lazy the last or so week forcing myself to get more active & involved here so far tackled the kitchen that's all...determined to work way upstairs later to the mayhem of the bedrooms Bathroom & study...well at least that's my intention we'll see how far I get after another coffee...so enjoyed the first one the sun is brilliant this morning beasties fed & out annoying poor 'Plumpy' about to fish him out another massive dental chew treat...woke to a 5.9
That was a good fbs number this morning.

Zoom Course was really good this morning.

Yesterday sent out email with another Lesson Plan and exercise sheets. All went well except for one client who has received multiple copies of the email even though only one copy was sent by my computer. I couldn't work out why so contacted the company that provides tech support for my computers and they say that it is my clients server that is causing the issue not my computer.

Technology is brilliant until it goes wrong.

Crikey, so much gone on since I posted this morning, a lot of upbeat posts amidst turbulent and worrying times for many of you, didn't know if to give winners or hugs most of the time, but mostly winners were needed, so uplifting all your attitudes, thank you.

@gennepher yet another cloud drifts by and you capture it so well on its journey, love it.

I have not done a proper watercolour as I spent too long time learning Joe Pug songs on my guitar and sitting in the garden to get my Vitamin D fix.

Here I be with Mrs Mc getting my bit D fix and trying, yes trying to draw flowers, as you can see not my thing. Will leave it to @geefull in future.

And my watercolour is another A4 sketch book study of trees in evening light for my Series on Last Light of the day. Took about 15 minutes.

it's like the grim reaper of the IoT... forever waiting for the best moment to
pounce and ruin a perfectly good day...:banghead:

hug for the grief.

praying to the lord of lightening to strike it dead, for you
Yes - I totally agree. Instead of a relaxed preparation for my course this morning - I was frantically trying to ascertain if it was my computer that was causing the problem. Thank goodness it wasn't.

good evening all :)

4.7 this morning

a lovely day here and after speaking to the vet by phone about Katy's teeth this morning we had to go over to mum's to look at her gums (Katy's gums that is :hilarious:).
Problem is a couple of her puppy teeth are still in evidence along with the adult teeth :( Vet says he'll deal with it when the lockdown ends (can't remember whether this is week 7 or week 8 :sorry:) and it's not a problem immediately so long as she doesn't get an infection (hence the gum inspection ;)).

After that we had a lovely walk round the village in the sunshine and did a little bit in the garden.

Also trimmed the back of mr gee's hair this morning and he's still speaking to me ;)

Whilst we were walking we saw a police car patrolling the village checking the beach access car park.

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@gennepher - lovely clouds again, a touch of serenity ;)
@Muddy Cyclist - I love your latest tree painting and by strange coincidence was going to say that trees are best left to you and mine are a work in progress :D (slow progress as witnessed below :hilarious:)

Art catch up - working on foliage ;)

Thank you for the cloud compliment @Muddy Cyclist

I love the silhouetted tree against the light green background...
A brilliant 15 min study...

Thank you for the cloud compliment @geefull

I love both yours and @Muddy Cyclist ’s trees. They have different aspects I like.
Yours is a gentle landscape. I like the sky, the fields in the hills in the distance, the foreground with the tree in. A gentle landscape you can wander in.

@geefull I really like this landscape and that's a very acceptable tree, I also like that sky and the depth in the hills. As for progress I think you have improved in leaps and bounds, impressive keep it up a nice technique you are developing.

@gennepher Thanks you, I often think my sketchbook paintings work better than my proper painting. I need to find a happy medium between a quick splash and an overworked painting. I actually enjoy doing the fast watercolours but they won't stand up as finished art.

Fbg 6.5 at 3am

Temp 35.9

I have done emails, cleaned kitchen and washed pots, and now back in bed with a cuppa watching the sky get lighter and lighter.

It is almost light enough to do pastels outside even at this early hour (5:45 am).

I might go out with a cuppa to do some weeding (pulling up the goosegrass, the rest of the wild flowers and plants can stay), and set out the pastels.

Have fun today
Enjoy yourselves
Be good, or not, whichever tickles your fancy :)

Good Morning and 6.5 for me today, I suspect disturbing dreams have not helped.

So another lovely day, my body is telling me I need more exercise than walking our dog I really do need to get out over the Heath and through the woods on my bike.

Once again a day with no lists, wonderful. Yesterday I managed to Sand down and re BriWax our pine table, church pew and German dresser, certainly a job I had not even considered let alone do, so started to put it on a list and ticked it off. Then I thought what a waste of paper so mentally did it instead.

Thinking of paper I'm hoping my watercolour paper arrives today getting low of stock, and also some watercolour paints.

Keep busy and safe, watch and listen, really listen down through the layers, neither are a waste of time, magical.

Good morning everyone from a blue and cloud whispy white morning in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of the Jamaican dub lock down burger and slaw came in at a reasoned “no cooking, no crime” 4.4 this am.

Latest learning experience - when making a slaw, put the shredded cabbage and onion into a colander and cover with salt. After 30 minutes or so, squeeze out excess water and rinse well - makes for a better slaw (and so it did).

My brined chilis are now ready for the next stage in the homemade sriracha process so will be boiling them up with garlic, white wine vinegar and sugar substitute this morning.
@Muddy Cyclist - I write down my to do list on my phone - its an android so mine go into samsung lists. I can then use my finger to just write on the screen, ignore it for 24 hours and then delete it as I have no idea what yesterdays scrawl could possibly mean- and then writing another list - do remember to schedule this activity into your busy year planner as a daily listing and clear a good hour to do this well. It could also improve your handwriting, or not.

Have the most wonderful day that you can, I am on day two of making chicken soup a la jewish penicillin. But first, koffy.

Morning...we have celebrities in the house how grand...last night saw Wood Green Animal Charity featuring a group of four kittens rescued in very bad condition in fact there was a warning on the video content...I watched it & recognised Charlie & Lola immediately so tagged Wood Green & sent updated photos of the kittens I hadn't seen any photos of them when they were first rescued...poor little things in such an terrible state...I haven't told either of them in case they get ideas above their station...completely forgot to do FBG may do it later may not...brilliant sunshine here rain due later.

Morning me hearties. @dunelm mining a rich seam of purple prose and humour today with foodie tips for free. @karen8967 hug for hypo early and thank goodness for jelly babies. Tee 2 tried to convince me I woke with an fbg of 5.1. C'mon fellas, I didn't get here yesterday and if you're going to invent numbers make them good ones. Toodle pip old things. Oh. apologies for use of woke. Telegraph journalists have been waging war (cultural) on the term whilst holding a telescope to their covered eye. Stay well and stay safe - a few careers depend on that.

All that African-American perceived awareness - must be the covered eye skewing their perception and, maybe their awareness. Do journalists still have awareness?

5.3 this morning. Had 17g carbs yesterday which kept BSs low all day yesterday.

Today - dogs walked, and once coffee is drunk we are off to pick up some honey from a local bee keeper and then off to the farm to get our milk.
