Extremely tired this morning, no surprise there. Been out and opened barn and stable doors to help with drying out. Otherwise the neccessary big cleanup has stalled. MrSlim has sent email to man who did the drive asking him to redo the job. That helps. But weather forecast is more thunderstorms .
Which doesn't. So currently engaging in displacement activities. Cleaning things inside. My body is reacting to the situation in a predictable way, with the unwelcome return of indigestion, fat intolerance and a few other minor issues, all caused by stress.
Sorry for whingefest peeps. Will try to do better.
Absolutely no need to feel sorry. As far as I can see the post was a strictly factual account of the impact of torrential rain on you and your property. Fbg stood up amazingly well so huge congratulations. Here is a very good place to unload if you ever feel the need. You seem an amazingly level headed person. Take the very best care of yourself. There will still be work aplenty long after we have all met our maker or whatever.

NHS rainbow tee shirts in transit. Amazingly precise delivery time and a courier designed to make Nigel and that odious little twerp Francois loose their manure - which just makes it all the sweeter. Oh, the delicious irony of so many key workers being mud bloods! PMSL

@ianpspurs I called it a whingefest, because, in the end, it's only damage to stuff and there are people here who have lost family and friends. A fast greater loss and irrepairable.

5.6 on this lovely sunny morning. Dogs are snoozing in the conservatory. I am debating whether or not to have another coffee before their walk. As usual I feel relaxed and lazy first thing in the morning before their walk wakes me up.
Have another coffee Krystyna you know it makes sense;)

Definitely not a wingefest. I would feel exactly the same if it happened to me.

Morning...I have been so lazy the last couple of days needing to give myself a firm talking to...cold & the wind picking up today feels like the rain will arrive any second I'm not going to complain particularly after seeing the @SlimLizzy 's photos thank goodness it didn't get in the house...the beasts have been fed & the change in the weather means they are charging around the house rather than outside..socialised last night with friends & neighbours in the rear garden social distancing in place big enough to observe the 2 metre rule...in through the connecting gates Gin & Tonic on the table ice in a bucket we helped ourselves it was so good to have social contact...may have indulged more than I should have but a brilliant laughing talking and drinking...did some work yesterday remotely felt a little strange but good to keep my hand in & the first time I've conducted an interview in my pyjamas sipping my coffee...didn't test when I got up just done it now woke to a 6.2 so okay for me...keep safe everyone

Breakfast 2xCWC, nut granola, 2 eggs scrambled with butter.

Shopping trip on my bike. 9 kilometre each way. Prefer the back roads route even if it is slightly longer. It did seem very crowded in the supermarket. What happened to only 25 people in the store? Lockdown ends on Monday, but really it is already gone.

Lunch. Avocado, tomato, cheese and basil with lettuce and radish. 2 glasses of water and cup of tea.

Afternoon was wasted tidying the garden. Rumbling thunder turned into a deluge which has destroyed the drive we had laid in February, washed away much of my vegetable garden, flooded the barn ( where all the tools, ride on mower etc are kept)

Am grateful it didn't make the final couple of centimetres to get into the house, but when i look at the mess. Have no idea where to start clearing up.

Pulled myself together. Made tea.

Dinner: pork chop, already cooked, with cauliflower rice, green beans and onion gravy, also from yesterday. Water and wine.

Comfort food. Made myself a KC chocolate mug cake. Had it with raspberries and cream.

Second glass of wine also

In the end I had to postpone the coffee until after the walk because Poppy and Archie stood in front of me pleading for their walk.

Good to know your place Krystyna...freezing here (in comparison to yesterday) now Charlie & Lola have decided they will go outside so doors open and I'm off to find a sweater.

5.1 this morning. Still sunny here - although the wind is getting stronger and it is definitely a lot colder.

One of my 1:1 clients is waiting for her corona virus test results. Luckily she is in a younger age group and is not at high risk of complications. She thinks she got it shopping.

That is not a whingefest. That is an expression of frustration from all that stress that went on with the water. Especially as the body reacts in it’s own ways to the shock. Once you express the frustration (whatever it is), then things can only get better. I hope your day is successful in every way today.

Too much time Sunday, today. In what world is it important to open garden centres so urgently? What do the Vote Leave data miners know about the political persuasions of the demographic who frequent these places (or Midlothian Capital and Hattington Capital Holding Company)? From what I have observed, YMMV, this is an ideal way to ramp up the infection rate among those they claim they are trying to protect most.

Well that was an interesting communication with my daughter in Australia.

We are the laughing stock of the world, or at least that was how it was portrayed in Australian news, because of the VE celebrations and the street parties, where there was absolutely no social distancing and people were intermingling and partying as normal. And they predicted an explosion of cases in 2 weeks time in the U.K.

My daughter, in Australia, also sent me links to videos she had seen on the Australian news, to prove social distancing and self isolation was not taking place in the U.K. in any shape or form. I had no idea normal partying had gone on to that wide extent.

This and more was shown on Australian news.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen. Late on parade here, but up and about doing stuff starting at 7:20am this morning, perhaps being a trifle too active ( other pudding available ).

A young 5.6 this morning not bad you might think considering my medication and manageable so I thought. 2 hours later just after I had finished my breakfast, I started sweating, shaking and feeling not to good. A blood sugar test revealed a 3.1, big time whoops and a record low reading for me. That wiped out the rest of my morning. This reiterates the vagueries of the complicated simultaneous equation that is diabetic control.

Enough of my small problems compered to the issues facing some of our fellow posters, I wish them all well and a swift return to their normal if they so desire.
Have a great afternoon all and remember a smile costs nothing and will usually scare the living daylights out of a stranger even from 2 meters away.

a win for the catch up.

( Question .....4th last emoji ? .is it now banned for everyone ? .)

and an agree for the view of the rest of the world not quite being as esteemed of us, as our beloved leaders seem to believe it is.

Doubt anyone anywhere is looking to our cunning plan, and thinking
"Yep..that's the kind of numbers we NEED, to show we know how to deal with this virus, and protect our nation as much as possible"

Despite the UK being an exemplar or whatever BS the deputy CMO spoke of the other week

The only other place i see this level of incompetent leadership, is in the US.

a place where armed protesters can enter a govt building and no one thinks that's odd,
it's ok to shoot joggers,
and native Americans despite having their own certain rules and laws, can't protect their nation.

and now the WH has it's own Hotspot
