What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Greetings on a bright and promising morning here. 4.3 reader or 4.6 phone - neither happy, sad nor satisfied.. It just is what it is or appears to be. The opportunity to experiment I imagined a libre may provide seems to be useful but nowhere near enough data to be confident. As others have said, the artwork so kindly shared on here is a huge act of generosity. Roast pork day today as that half pig in the freezer won't eat itself. If there is to be Lockdown: the sequel space will be needed. Take the very best care of yourself and others.
Edit: @Debandez I tagged you here so as not to upset mods in the some chat thread. Thanks, but I won't be asking any of the folks you mentioned - the variations are not a problem at those levels.

Good Morning and 5.5 for me today.

Think I will sneak out for a Mountain Bike Ride on the trails of Cannock Chase. I need to feel the wind that @jjraak mentioned on his 'moped' but under my own power and a little slower maybe hitting 30mph on some of the safer downhills, of course my roads won't be as smooth as his will have been so me teeth get a workout as well. I will avoid all the carparks as I hear they have all been reopened so more people behaving badly. Or I could just go now and beat the Visitors.

Embrace the day no matter what it throws at you, keep safe.

It is a double edged sword admittedly, @Muddy Cyclist

We can go out, but so can many others, who may not be so careful..

So enjoy, be safe..:)

Reading your post made me wonder whether I am being a bit mean vetoing any thoughts Mr K might have of taking his Triumph Bonneville out for a spin.

The problem is, though, that around here rather a lot of drivers have been caught speeding. Several as high as 125 mph.

A win for reconsidering..

And Pablo won't do THAT...:hilarious::hilarious:

I got 66 on the clock once, though.

If he went out, I'd say be careful.
The roads have certainly been quieter, and if I had taken Suzi out, the the temptation to just enjoy the empty roads .( Well they all once we blast away from the traffic lights ;))
Would be very very tempting...

Warp factor engaged IS addictive.:D

Hope he goes and regains a bit of his soul too.
I saw it as refreshing my road skills. Summer IS coming

Good morning everyone from a morning of hidden outcomes in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of sriracha basted chicken with sprouted broccoli salad and kimchi came in at 5.1 this am

Got my bike out onto the drive again yesterday, fired up, tyres checked, chain lubed and an oil check. Sitting on the bike in t-shirt and shorts, helmet, boots and gloves - what I need is somewhere to put my ipad and bluetooth it into my helmet. Then I can go for a ride, curtesy of massed videos on YouTube. I could of course go out on the road but as I am an agent of Shield, not a good idea. Other road users can cause accidents.

Our PPG meetings are starting back up, but first, some Zoom training - next Friday has been agreed. Shouldn’t take long. We have been using it for our Saturday quiz nights and it’s not very complicated. The hard bit is having the discipline to not all talk at once. So, a control station - “hello all stations this is zero, sitrep, wait out”. Must brush up on my Q and Z codes.

Have the very best day that you can and welcome to @mamahentx. Koffy calls.

I thought I would give you a pastel sunrise today for my daily painting challenge to myself. Something different from the sunset of yesterday.
I have seen enough from mountain tops in my time...
This is from one of the pictures in my scrap box of photos and photocopies.

This took me a couple of hours to do...

Good luck Krystyna I have done some remote work but able to use my mobile...not looking forward to when I have to up my technology input to zoom or some such similar platform...I am technologically incompetent so lord know where'll I'll end up.

6.20am FBG 5.4. My

masks have not arrived, it doesn't feel safe.

Wilk still have to go out, but to local rubbish site. On bike outside. Twenty five mins max. That's ok.

Have just checked the new updated post confinement rules for cycling and social distancing. Now five metre separation required for cyclists and walkers. This seems a bit strange to me as previously, believe it was two metres.

Ok LINK explains the science, better then I can I think.

However it kind of makes sense if you have ever followed a smoker in the street.

To keep myself grounded, I try and see breath as anyone talking who MAY spit a little while talking.
I don't have to be too far away if they are standing still, to avoid....shop or queue etc..but do if they are puffing away on the push bike in front or jogging ahead of me as I run behind them.

And as for masks.
I did post ages back some Chinese uni tested home made masks at 80%÷ as effective as FFP1

The understanding I got is the filter rate of material is important..I think denser aka harder to breathe through. Think tea towel versus cotton shirt, is better.

I saw and tried the sock mask. Yeah I know
But it was simple, and better then nothing.

I tied mine with elastic through the loops behind my head ( yes I never got out of that blue Peter stage ) and it felt and looked ok. Might be Better then nothing until mask arrives.

Decisions & politics everywhere @jjraak from Parliament to here...what decisions do I should I make I think the answer is we have to make your own choice & ignore the naysayers as long as we have thought about what is right for us that's okay.

Its a good effort nothing wrong with it...if you ordered your mask from Home Health UK they are pretty quick did you chose 1st class post?

Cheers @HarryBeau .

I did note your post, very useful.

I was fortunate, that I bought several over the weeks from Jan..distributed to nephews niece etc, but can't stop trying out any ideas I see on line re masks, in the hope it helps someone who can't get one

Supply does seem be more available then it was., So perhaps not needed .I'll move on to something else soon enough. Low carb foods again probably..:hilarious:

Have thought all along with the chaotic responses from govt we were on our own..
Not much changed really.

Just got to be more measured in what we do in relation to what others might do.

And of course work out the puzzle of just what boris's advice actually means..:hilarious:

Much preferred it when we had a parliament not a president ;)

Yes, you thief, I am collecting photographic evidence. That is twice you have been back, stealing the thatch off my swing, and you are not even nesting in my garden.

Evidence below...
