Fbg 5.3

Temp 35.9

Why 5.3 for fbg?
Because I didn't eat anything at all yesterday.

I never eat before I go to the shops. And because of that upset yesterday with the laughing man at my mask, my system was too upset to eat the rest of the day.

I went to sleep when I got back to try and recover. But sleep didn't make me better like it used to do.
I hadn't known how to react to him for a split second, then I did what I thought was unexpected and laughed with him. The unexpected often can get you out of trouble I find.

I slept on and off during the evening. But I didn't feel any better, my system still felt disturbed. I can usually get over quicker than this with sleep.

I woke up at 2:00 a.m. My system still felt troubled. So I made a cup of tea, had a few sips, And went back to sleep again.

I woke up again at 5:00 to a beautiful day outside and it looks like we might get blue skies and sun all day today. So that should help quite a bit.

But, what I am trying to say is that it is getting harder and harder to wake up refreshed after sleep, even after a short power nap, and feel ready to take on anything.

I have to work on it now to get to that place of hope and excitement for the day.

Just me rambling here, take no notice of me...
.
Ramble away and I hope the sunny day lifts your spirits.

Good Morning and 6 for me today.

Bright and cheerful morning here so a a Muddy Cycle ride calls then this evening our virtual family meal and have to get the family creative challenge completed so that's my day sorted. Oh and visit MIL in the care home, nice enough for a garden visit at a promised 22 degrees.

Keep safe.

Oh, also have to try and get to the doctors or make an appointment as I'm still deaf in left ear. Went to see my cousin Thursday evening who is a nurse and does have the kit to look in my ear as I have not been able to move any wax. She was unable to see any wax, ear drum is clear but red so suspects a middle ear problem. :banghead:

Oops, so this means a possible infection has been left for the duration of lockdown @Muddy Cyclist just because they wouldn’t see patients.
I hope it gets sorted as quickly as possible. Good luck in making the appointment.

My painting for today in ZenBrush2

It is just the one painting, done initially on white paper, but I tried different papers within the ZenBrush2 app

And this is the result of 6 of them within a collage.
I quite like the green and red one.
The bottom two have that radial effect within the different papers. You cannot move the radial effect to incorporate your circular disc better. And so, if I used these again, I would have to centre the radial disc.

I used my first finger to paint this landscape.
My little finger is better for when I do more delicate lines.

This morning 4.9. Yesterday was another day mainly in the 4s and low 5s. I am becoming more confident that this is the new normal. Something has definitely changed - maybe beta cells have regenerated a little. I

Aldi shopping shortly then dog walk.

Good morning all. I think my calibrated fbg was 4.8 - new sensor is giving out 7s like confetti. Our baby is 28 today - what happened there? @gennepher hug for the way the great fbg came about; @Muddy Cyclist hope the ear issue can be sorted fast; @PatsyB hug for the difficulty gauging medication required; @karen8967 great start to Happy Friday (Bez says he often missed several days). @Krystyna23040 the old normal seemed fine but the new normal is world leading, naturally. Grandson will be in charge here today; well, after Julie and the pups. I'll just keep my head down and say sorry lots:angelic:

Brilliant fbs but not a good way to reach that number. It is such a shame that some people are just not nice people and seem to take great delight in upsetting people. Hope you have a much better day today.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all lesser spotted toads. Google if you must.

A perplexing 5.1 on that wayward meter of mystery and naughtiness, now I have get my sliderule out and calculate insulin dosage against activity, fuel consumption and temperature, thankfully black tea and koffy are known constants.

I have no idea what you fellow posters are doing today, but me and me's are under full supervision today with a small window of opportunity for mischief late this morning, yes I intend to make use of it.
Some nice art work again.

Black Dog.
Given the current pandemic we are living through it's OK to feel down and perfectly normal in my opinion, just don't dwell on it, apply a distraction technique.

Have a great day and remember if you woke up this morning you are a winner.
I'm going to sign out now and perform calculations while thinking about consuming dead pig and chicken embryos .

Thank you @ianpspurs

Good morning everyone from the last day of term in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of “I told you not to eat it” came in at 5.8 this am

Our grandson, Mr Pickle, has his last day as a primary school kid today, a six week cocooning will transform him into a taciturn, bottom of the feeding frenzy secondary school thing for September. These are the days of our life.

@gennepher, loving the experimenting with the different paper. Had a start with a chrysanthemum this morning. I may get to finish it later.

Good morning all. Awoke to a fbs of 9.2-no idea why! Surprise call from mum's nursing home yesterday to say at 3.30pm today we can visit mum in their garden at a safe distance. We have to sign paperwork to say we do not have Covid symptoms and haven't been in contact with anyone who has. We then have to go through a side gate into their garden where mum will be waiting. Apparently we are the first to do this. Strictly no physical contact allowed. It will be first time we will have seen mum since March 18th. Having mixed feelings about it and hoping all will go well. Have a happy Friday and enjoy your week-end. :)
