@Muddy Cyclist Someone told me the male flowers come first, so to ensure pollination plant the seeds in two batches about a fortnight apart. It's certainly worked on my courgettes. Maybe would on cucumbers too. Something to try anyway.

That sort of view struck me, the first time on a Lads holiday gran can, and we went up mountain, and we looked down on clouds rolling across such a plain, below us.
No plane window view has come close to that moment for me.

Sunday again and the village was full for most of the day, the campsite full of tents and mobile homes, the car parks full, lots of kids paddling and a couple of noisy jetskis faffing about at great speed round the bay
Such is life
Chicken and veggie bake for lunch over at mum's and then a quick dash to mow the remaining half of a patch of grass before the showers arrived.
Did we make it before the rain started?.. we did not
Looks like some splendid freedom rides today

My hands are quite small so I never progressed beyong fairly easy stuff on the tenor recorder, my dad bought a set of three when my sister began playing the treble at school, my brother played the alto and we never really progressed beyond simple group stuff but it was fun
Sound beginning there for what looks like an interesting picture to come, I'm only gradually beginning to realise that it's ok to walk away from a part complete picture and come back to it again, but then I tend to work on a smaller scale than you do
art bit - sketch in inktense pencils again and a touch of white gel pen on the stamens, these pencils produce very saturated colour when you wet them.

Yes, it’s pretty good living round here - North Yorkshire Moors on our doorstep (literally) and some fine coastline. Sutton Bank - not a problem and I have been up and down what local cyclists call ‘the chain breaker’ - the 1 in 3 Chimney Bank out of Rosedale on many an occasion - it shares the title of steepest tarmac road in England with Hardknott Pass in the Lake District. Will be tackling it this week all being well.

Trying to get a doctor 'callback' this morning, woke up with a really tight chest. Luckily I keep a pack of steroids for such things which get replenished by my doc. Hopefully, it's just a simple infection or allergy response.
