Look forward to the 'unique subject' you are about to create, exciting!
5.9 this morning. Is that inches of rain or my fbg, it could be both
Starting a new art project today and I'm making an attempt at being somewhat creative. The subject will be unique in the sense that it didn't already exist in the form I want.
I was speaking to Jenn last night, she was trying to reassure me about digital art and said it's very difficult as modern tech means that people think it is created by the program, not the person. Why she thought that was reassuring I don't know. Anyway, she has asked me to keep a picture diary of my steps. I did point out that doing so is going to add to my production time. I'm a drama lama apparently
Meanwhile, the new microwave/grill/oven is very nice although I still don't know what some of the buttons do.
Enjoy the day![]()
I look forward to this art project!

I have two microwaves. One digital, one analogue (whatever you call that one). Digital one all shiny and red is in front room and is about 5 years old and it is a mystery to me despite instructions. The most I have dared do is warm up a cup of tea or my wheat neck warmer (which I nearly baked and has a strange burnt smell now, I only had it in 20 seconds I think...). The tatty white one with a clockwork dial is in the kitchen and is about a year old. I can cook scrambled eggs in it brilliantly, and nuke bacon, but that is it...
I am not a cook anyway.
You have fun with your projects today @Alien Aspie
Thank goodness you took him home gennepher...relieved to hear he has improved & is still enjoying a good quality of life.He still has dementia, but it is nowhere as apparent
I admit to being one of those men who never read the manual, however, as time moves on I find that I will peruse the 'how to do' sections
My thought for the project is a reworking of the 'Miranda-Tempest' which, in all fairness, might be a daft ideaI have 'Magic Poser' on my iPad which is a digital version of those wooden models we used at school but it helps my brain.

I have trouble visualising poses in my head so it's good to have an external prop.
You said you were interested in how I set things up so here's an image of my initial storyboard for the new project. This is done in photoshop and is a collage of images I like that will lead to the end idea. You can see in the layers box on the right how I put each snippet separate. All the snippets are subject to change and once I get it 'right' I'll balance it better to use as a reference. There will only be one figure in it but I need to 'feel' which one might be better as a pose.
I left the image as a thumbnail as I didn't want to fill the forum page with nonsense

That is brilliant. What alternative stuff did you get Popeye? I wonder if it would work for people and dogs.So research online now I know what it is. What alternative stuff is out for an elderly cat with dementia? He did have all his faculties before this despite being 28 years old. Finally I worked out a package for him. Ordered stuff.
Great art young sir. Thank you for being gentle with me, it was my first time@ianpspurs - more tea, less kayaking.
