This, it’s basically a squat machine, push up from a platform, while the weight is on the shoulders, I’m guessing it’s easier on the back with the rest.

Yea, like a bar squat but you dont have to worry about form so much - be also really good for calv raisers. Assume its bolted to the floor so its not one you also have to walk along with?

Now I remember. Yes good if your squat form is not so good or you find barbell squats tricky (I do because of a shoulder issue).

I’ve started using the rack. Only 2 plates @ 3x12. My form isn’t great yet. I’m also fond of the smith machine.

That'll get the burn going, a great feeling. Smith is a favourite, too. I'd like to get a Smith for the home, in case we have more lockdown. Squats are life!
