What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Was hoping to see daughter, grandson and son in law in school holiday but daughter from York thinks we will have to meet in garden. North Cumbrian rule is can meet one other bubble in doors, if six or less.
But probably for best since they will have been exposed to virus in York

Not seen them since January due to wife's op and lock down.

Next step down is to not see them in the garden, which is silly when we live on our own with a big garden surrounded by fields.

5.6 this morning. Managed to get all the important admin done so don't have to do admin on Sunday.

When will I ever learn not to fit clients back to back in my lunch break. Perhaps I will when I get older. Oh hold on - I am old now so there is obviously no hope for me. So a rather too busy day ahead - but no-ones fault but mine.

I have finished my Rannoch Moore watercolour that I started yesterday, still not exactly what I had in my minds eye, needed I to be more moody and the white out snow blizzard to be stronger on the mountain, maybe too much water area on the boggy land but not too unhappy with it. A4 watercolour about 90 minutes and a lot of Bach Cello music, chilled. :)

Yes - that’s it - the reds - Snow blizzard coming in, anticipation of walking from a wonderful day to getting out the compass.

Good Morning and 6.1 for me today.

Daughter and youngest grandaughter arriving later for an Autumn walk then back to ours for a meal and some music making, games and such. We are still in Tier 1, however both Daughter and SIL are teaching and grandaughter in school so still not without some risk although no Known cases in their schools. As I have said before seeing friends and family is now a stressful activity.

Enjoy the season, ''tis magnificent" . Keep safe.

5.4 this morning which is very strange as I had a... buttered crumpet before retiring for the night. Yes I know, but it's getting colder. Best score in months.

Maybe that should be my next piece of art?

We should have a collective art gallery page on FB or IG. The beautiful artistry on here deserves its own space, and I include the lovely photographs as it's all art.

Enjoy the day :)

Thank you. Compass use was part of the course I used to teach for Mountain Bike Winter Leadership. The lads from the MOD were always spot on but didn't work in degrees, many civilian students had little or no idea as they relied so much on Satellite Technology.

Good morning everyone from aa dull day with a hint of promise in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of rare bavette with chimichurri came in at 4.7 this am

Another day on the beach yesterday. Our daughter met up with us. Ended up in the pub for lunch - starters only - main courses can be a bit too much for lunchtimes - and they make you snore all afternoon.
Wonderful photos and artwork to wake up to today
Two paintings yesterday - looking at adding ink to wet paper and then adding more water to the edge of the ink.
Hope everyone has A great day. Not sure what we will be doing but for now, koffy.

Satellite Technology is great - until the weather changes or you get into remote parts of the world - or both - I think map and compass skills are basic to being outdoors.

How do you do a collective art gallery page on IG?
My preference is IG, although I am on Facebook...somewhere or other...you won't find me there by looking...name/s different ;)

You and your blinking crumpets....teasing the rest of us :)

If I froze the crumpets beforehand, would that reduce the impact it has, like I am freezing potatoes now, so I can have them without raising my blood sugars?

Both these are extremely effective using your wet paper technique @dunelm
I am absolutely loving them both.

Everyone shares the login details (allowed by IG) so no one person controls the page. Anything posted will be titled as the page but artists can add their personal link, copyright etc to the picture or in the comments. Common hashtags can be put in an email to all those taking part so they have a starter for hashtagging (or more experienced users can do it for them). Anyone that has their own IG can be linked to and mentioned in the 'about'.

On a FB page you just add people as admin, they must have their own FB account but it doesn't need to show on the FB Page. Nor does anyone have to friend each other. Hashtags have the same method.

I don't know about freezing crumpets although mine are from frozen. Needs testing.

I think you could pioneer some crumpet research here. Can’t find crumpets listed in the attached but then it is a report from Australia where crumpets may be either a, not consumed or b, called something else or c, only produced in secret kitchens

Good morning all. A veritable smorgasbord here since I last sullied forth. @lindisfel hug for not being able to meet family and winner for Violet. My 90.9 YO MIL had breast cancer and lost her husband within 2 years about 40 years ago then lost her daughter to BC. She has had hip re-replaced and 1 knee replaced over the last 5 years. My sister in law, died on our middle son's birthday, wanted everyone to wear red at the funeral and had always look on the bright side played as the coffin left the church. Wonderful art as per. I obviously like the tea but I like the autumnal colours. I don't enjoy Autumn or winter but have a hankering to see New England in the fall. @Alien Aspie the number of times your fbg responds well to a hot, buttered crumpet (ooer Missus) must mean it is the way forward. @Muddy Cyclist hug for finding risk assessment of family time stressful and great art. @dunelm continually turning in great stats. Enjoy Saturday.

Well that technique worked brilliantly, I have never thought of trying that with inks, two very nice landscapes.
