What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

4.4 today

we had a bit of snow lying here when we got up then it became quite sunny and the wind dropped :) There was no snow at Mum's at all and mr gee and I got a bit of garden tidying up done after dinner, first time the garden has been dry enough in weeks. then the wind got up, the temperature dropped and the snow flurries began.
home again with only a quick stop in transit to pick up a tray of free range eggs from the machine on the farm :D

Pudding was well received so I may make it again, the rest of the Christmas pudd is in portions in the freezer now ;)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@Muddy Cyclist - hugs for mrs MC, I hope the reaction has subsided now so she gets a good sleep tonight. Does her strong reaction indicate a strong level of developing immunity do you think?
Once again a lovely sky to begin today's painting :) and I hope the music goes harmoniously ;)

@Krystyna23040 - I'm glad the little dog is safe, it's a horrible feeling when you can't find them. Katy went missing in Mum's garden and we had to disentangle her from a blackberry bush a few months ago :(

@dunelm - smashing corvid, you give them so much character :)

@gennepher - today's painting has lovely warm light and a strong composition, very effective :)

art bit - thank you for your kindness towards my first shot at the northern lights yesterday, I have a feeling that they come into the same category as rainbows, fiendish ;)

The setting sun below the clouds was just catching the tops of some of the hills the other day :)

No competition Krystyna, they mainly use different habitats.
The last Turtle Doves I heard and saw was on a Norfolk heath.
Norfolk and Suffolk are very good places for birds.
D.
I agree that Norfolk and Suffolk are good places for birds. Even around our village there are so many birds. It is a puzzle why the collared doves decided they would move into the UK.

It is a horrible feeling. You must have been so relieved when you realised that Katy was not lost. Our dogs (and cats of course) are such an important part of our families.

Thank you, Kath is fine now thank you, reaction was just for 9 hours. I think she is still dreading the second jab.

Sun kissed hills and mountains, always wonderful to see and you have painted them well in your own great style.

Getting on top of music recordings thank you.

Oh no! You are turning into Geoff Kersey and in danger of making a few bob.
If only. The problem is I don't want to spoil the enjoyment I get from art and so I give them away so 'a few bob' out of pocket each time. :)

The guy with a shop and online sales might sell some so at least those will cover some of my costs.

I am the same with the folk group and the West Gallery Quire, we joke that we perform for our supper, sometimes we get full three course meals, sometimes a good snack and others a packet of crisps :) Diabetes made that all more difficult as so many of the suppers are high carbs, of course the rest of the group members love it as they get most of my nosh also.

Good Morning and 5.5 for me today.

A tad on the cool side here, snowing and lots more promised, roll on Spring.

I think I will be having to work out how to get to Mrs MC horse again as roads looking a little treacherous on the hill exiting our Close.

Keep safe and take care.

Greetings from a snowy and icy Breckland/Fenland border. I pray you all stay safe and warm today and all those you love and hold dear navigate any necessary journeys safely, without undue stress. Best wishes for the journey to care for Kath's horse @Muddy Cyclist. I tried to do my outdoor steps for the 1st hour then soon decided parts of the slabs were too dangerous. The last thing A and E need is a silly old man needlessly injuring himself just to hit an imaginary target. No Swipey and frankly if there is any danger to those delivering them I can go without them until conditions improve. Tea, warmth, cricket on TV and Brady proved he is GOAT. My cup runneth enough over for me right now. All the best crew.

That is exactly what we decided today and for exactly the same reason. It is treacherous outside with ice under the snow. The dog groomer postponed the dogs appointment so now no need to go out.

The dogs have been really happy playing in the snow in the garden and haven't missed their walk at all..

@Muddy Cyclist I do hope you can get to Mrs MC 's horse safely.

5.5 this morning. Looking forward to the Zoom classes. It is great that we have Zoom now. Anytime we have snow in the future I will move straight onto Zoom.
I hope the zoom classes go well. The downside to so much online teaching and learning is no more snow days. I spent the last decade+ of my teaching career trying to get 3 schools to set up online teaching/ learning:banghead: I wonder how long the list of home school closures will be:angelic:? Welcome @dani96xx

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all shades of gender in between.

A 7.4 this morning on that scheming meter.

Me and me's woke up this morning convinced today was Sunday, this lockdown business is getting to me and me's, how the rest of the population are coping is a mystery, me and me's have a terrific advantage over normal people, 6 different personalities running around in my head and flipping between realities, has kept on the fractal curve of life. Now I must depart and talk about Ferney's equation to the bluebells that are just sprouting, also to make Mrs J's late morning tea.

On a cold and Darcy affected morning have a present of a wander around what I feel to be a typical Breckland landscape with a song from a couple I came across via local news . They took to live streaming during lockdown and have an interesting collection of songs recorded in a farm (grain?) silo. May interest a few - @Muddy Cyclist?

"....DAY 46 In the Big Brother #Legbreak 2 House.

And JJ is in the Diary room.

BB. So how do you feel, today ?
JJ. why-aye, not too bad, quite canny BB, to be fair.,
BB. How's the legs, you look to be walking better today
JJ. Aye i am, BB, I am reasonably steady on both feet, left one still the better one.
BB. Looking forward to todays challenge ?

JJ. Aye i am that, I've caught fishee's on little dishee's, but, never done a car drive challenge, glad it's with Lauren, she's a bonnie lass, think i might have chances there, if i play me cards right.... if ya know what i mean BB ;)......."

Morning all..'Yawn'

Wow @ianpspurs , go the brady bunch, huh..

Might have, i say MIGHT have.... my first venture out in car today, after #legbreak

Yes, yes, not ideal*..but madame has an appointment with some doc, and she asked / and i want, to take her there.

Car is just across road, so only danger is I slip A-over-T before i get to it.:wideyed:

But a slip could be a real blow, so slow & steady, just like those 'seniors' road signs ;):bag:

Anyway, Madame is checking out for me just how slippery it is, before we venture out into the wild.

*London weather is horrendous :woot:,
deep enough snow to cover a mouse's paw, and LONDON's all ground to a halt..... probably
(if that was even MORE possible)
so pray for us in the capital as life shuts down, and the day after tomorrow is NOW here...Aghhhhh.

But on the bright side, I'm prepared for anything, as i have been binge watching the walking dead,
and now just off to recap on ice road truckers for a few tips or whatnot..
A world of experiences and idea, all in one tiny box.:D.

FBG 7.3..mmhh

delicious, i mean delicious dinner last night.
Half a steak pie, dauphinoise potatoes + broccoli (M&S dine in for two..+ pudding which i skipped )

a few meds and it was almost predictable. But did i mention it was DELICIOUS :singing:.

so no hugs required, I've placed myself on the naughty step..

hope all your days are safe and complete with some pleasure.:)
