What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a day of potential here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of “we’re off on the road to Morocco” for Moroccan chicken came in at 5.2 this am

@jjraak - making great progress and Happy Birthday to Steph.
@gennepher - Wonderful falling blossoms. I do like looking at your art each day.

Youngest grandchild in charge yesterday - few tentative steps with the aid of Mr Unicorn - a fancy push along, sit upon thing that Mrs Miggins bought in a Harrods sale over 16 years ago - it’s now on it’s 6th iteration as a walking trainer.

There seems to be two types of people in the UK at present, those looking forward to Valentine’s day and those with more serious priorities, like pancake day.
Art today - A4 on rice paper - hope everyone has a Splendid Saturday - time for koffy.

Welcome to Saturday everyone. Hard frost in this part of The Brecks but The Slabbingtons are trouble free if very cold. Swipey issued a nasty 5.4 - vaccine effect? Parallel lines eh Debs? Rear view mirror shows lights from the party to celebrate 1/2 decade of bg control. LC Sat Nav either on the blink as some reviews always predicted or plotting a route around (serious?) hazards. No idea where I'm going atm - unfamiliar roads. Meanwhile, Julie had a trouble free journey, I have sport to watch all weekend, I slept well, found a big bag of PHP and achieved the requisite crispy skin on my salmon. There is still just a (very) faint glow from the embers of the carb dodging fire so it may be rekindled. Oh, apparently the dishwasher works just as I stack it without cursing, banging, rearranging crockery and cutlery or a muttered I should have listened to my mum. Great progress @jjraak, happy birthday Steph. Wonderful use of your artistic gifts @geefull, @gennepher, @dunelm and @Muddy Cyclist. BFN peeps - more circuits of Stabbington needed.

Absolutely!

Like your rosy light hitting those mountains, either heralding a new day or welcoming the peace and comfort of darkness Either way reminds me how much I have missed the changing light in mountains since Covid. Good piece of art.

An unusual 4.5. No idea why as my fbs seems to be happy in the mid to high 5s at the moment.

I am reading and drinking coffee while Mr K watches the cricket and the dogs are snoring. Everyone seems happy with the early morning dog walk veto until the icy paths finally disappear.

For once I haven't booked a 1:1 in my lunch break so we will do the dog walk then. Hopefully the temperature will have risen above zero.

Good Morning and 5,8 for me today.

A cold day promised here, nothing above freezing at all and humidity in our house now below 30 all wooden musical instruments have been locked up for over two weeks only coming out for short bursts of music.

Not sure what the day will bring or how I will use it.

Keep safe and warm.

Moonpig won't save you now gents. This may help a little https://malcolmguite.wordpress.com/tag/st-valentines-day/ I feel very virtuous having sorted things before Julie left. I even found our wedding album for the picture. I'm the one with beard and some kind of halo. 27/10/84 - end of "serious" sport. I would feel too heavy now but needed the muscle/grunt then. Where that was taken was <20 yrds from my grandparents and great grandparents graves and would now be the same from my parents and an uncle. We lived for over a decade within sight of that location.

What an incredible look of mutual love!

These guys have always blacked up which now causes some very bad vibes, historically it's nothing to do with race but modern times..hey. They now black up red and black which for some reason is acceptable so all is good.

If we had any mines there would be a law now to stop coal miners coming home unwashed.

Thank you @lindisfel. Amazing what you bump into at a rugby clubhouse:angelic:. We knew each other before, this was a set up. We had been out once or twice 3-4 yrs earlier. Career, sporting ambition and desire for property got in the way but thankfully a higher power was and is always at work. My focus was clearly ok that night despite mucho celebration. We won and I scored a try or two - earlier as well.:angelic:

Hi Krystyna,
I got psyllium off Amazon recently from Bulk Powers and it works on me ok, but I have one of the enclosed scoops full per day at breakfast.

We are travelling back to the Midlands today. Four hour drive back to Midlands. Followed by settingt up motorhome, doesnt seem at all like birthday celebrations. MrSlim is still feeling unwell too. He has an appt for covid jab tomorrow, but am wondering if he is well enough to have it?
He will most likely tell them he is fine anyway.

Snap for Bulkpowders. We buy direct - inulin, spinach powder and some other things. Delivered in a transit van:angelic: I think their discounts are quite good. A 4 for me on BSS today:woot:

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, if you don't fit into either of those categories please feel free to cast off and sail to other posts.

Now not good news, a 4.5 this morning so me and me's now have on back order a super computer with bright shinny tokens, but for now will have to rely on the old steam driven slide rule and tea bag reading with a little guesstimate added into this insulin dosage equation. This if got wrong will result in a lunchtime reading of 3.5 to 4.5 which unfortunately is bad news for me and me's. Sympathy not required, just additional computing power.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers will you be braving the fresh freezing air? Remember as a child finding frozen puddles and seeing how far you could slide, must sign out now, clothes to put on, medication to ingest and puddles to find, Mrs J will not be amused.
