Very talented ensemble!I have just been sent our rendition of Now is the Month of Maying, virtually recorded and assembled. Sounds more of us than there really is, the joys of technology. I'm playing guitar, tabor and singing Bass, Mrs MC is playing Soprano and Treble Recorder and singing Soprano. The other players are on Tenor Recorder, Bass Concertina and Soprano Concertina. I have added it to the Sound Cloud account of Lockdown Music....
What a racket!
Now is the Month of Maying.
Enjoy or not.
The crinkled effect works so well in the photograph of your art work, adding a sculptured three dimension feel to the landscape. DONT IRON!Good morning everyone - a bit late today - I blame the “can’t make it’s mind up” weather
The wonder wheel of piri piri Portuguese style chicken cooked in the Ninja came in at 4.8 this am
A smashing day yesterday down on the sea front - blue skies and not many people about. Watched a program last night about the Portuguese visual artist Paula Rego - such a tragic life in some ways but her art is wonderful (well, I think so) - her figures are not of the pretty. I once bought a very large poster from an exhibition of her work at the Tate, Liverpool entitled ‘Snow White Swallows the Poisoned Apple’ - my mother pinned it up in her art studio.
Art today - some trees on a mountain side - the rice paper got a bit crinkled but I can’t be bothered to iron it. Hope that everyone is having a great National Everything You Do is Right Day. Time for a late koffy.

Thank you, we try.Very talented ensemble!
Hope you've not got any batwings in there! D.Tonight's dinner - I asked for local and no rice. Soup looks like soup. So all good for the westerner eye and digestion.
The mains - egg replaces rice and I have an extra treat of duck feet to entertain me... Daffy or Donald? View attachment 48118
Sounds good to me and I managed to listen to buttered peas. Thank you for the music which is certainly not my Waterloo. Also found out what a tabor looks like. There are Tabors in my family tree but none look thusly or appear to have been very musical.I have just been sent our rendition of Now is the Month of Maying, virtually recorded and assembled. Thank you @gennepher - I know that some people iron work on rice paper - I prefer it stand as it is.It might look crinkled to you @dunelm
But from the perspective of looking at it on my iPad from (presumably), the photo you took of it, that crinkledness helps towards the steep cliffs rocks effect. I like it very much!
Passed it on! We're delighted. Thank you
I had one of them - interesting texture crunchy and gelatinous. If I had kept the nail, inbuilt tooth pick...Hope you've not got any batwings in there! D.

Fantastic! Hello spring!Glorious warm day in Cumbria, when I did a 40 min walk up and down the garden at 0900, and the sun was warm on my face.
Spring is here, will winter have a last fling?
I had to get some more bird food yesterday. Still going through 50 kg of mixed corn with sunflower hearts added to it in a few weeks but expect to keep some of this new stuff through to autumn.
Some late snowdrops came out recently but wont last.
This one this am was too bright for my mobile camera.View attachment 48119
Leonard CohenThank you.
I'm sure some of our folk group music would meet your Waterloo but unfortunately I don't seem to be able to get them interested in virtual performances. Maybe when rules change we might record something together, any requests along the More recent folk or country and western styles or even the blues. Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Joan Baez, Lenard Cohen?![]()
But, did you take Berlin?Lenard CohenSome clownshoe played him on loop for a decade in my first year at Uni. Good calls on the rest.
Ah, but First we take Manhattan. But, did you take Berlin?![]()
