What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone on a quite chilly start here in the dark and dangerous north. Stark contrast to yesterday.
The wonder wheel of another Thai green curry slid in at 5.4 this am.

Doors - no, not that bloke singing about people being strange - internal doors. A conversation, nay a statement, wafted my way about replacing internal doors. I shall keep schtum, and probably out of the way.
I mentioned yesterday that I was going to do three versions of a painting but then realised that I had not even started that project. Anyhow here is version one. Hope everyone has a great day, white rabbits and all, birthday wishes to Bismarck and anyone else blowing candles out to the sound of music. I am off to Switzerland to help with the spaghetti crop after I have drunk my koffy.

Happy birthday @BRSBRI. @Krystyna23040 this is the source of my whey protein isolate - you can go from whey protein, through pure whey, WP isolate to informed whey (very well read that one - ideal for the woke. For elite athletes actually) Wide range of flavours. I need to return to using the weight machine that is taking up much of one bedroom but I'm worried about the impact on the ceiling. Very HIIT static bike was worrying Julie so that stopped. First Aldi click and collect from Cambridge tomorrow ideally we would then go on to Nirvana - Waitrose in Trumpington - Sashimi:woot:- and have coffee with my uncle. Step too far just yet - maybe just call in at Newmarket where I look very tall:angelic: Pick the fbg you like 3.2 at 4.00 am or 4.7 at 6.05 am - both delivered with a straight face by Swipey. The 3.2 coincided with me thinking of whey protein, 0% Greek yogurt and lc fruit (frozen rasps or blueberries) combos as of yore. Happy and safe Maunday Thursday droogs.

Cold day, shock to system, shorts going back in wardrobe. :)

Keep safe be bold.

I've got on a parka and boots. After the boiling humidity down east, this is like going on a winter trek to Godthab ;)

Good Morning and 6.6 for me today. :banghead: All that exercise yesterday seemingly did little to help my BG Numbers. I did have more carbs yesterday as I eat one cheese scone Mrs MC had made before she froze them for our daughter to take away Saturday, but surely not enough to cause 6.6?

Have to trim the edge of neighbours lawn this morning as I didn't manage to finish it yesterday. She side tracked me into trying to start her car, I have no idea why as she is not going to be driving for a very long time, the stroke she had, which is why she is needing neighbours help, left her in need of lots of physio.

Good of you to be helping out. Her car may need a spin out every so often to keep in mindful of it’s function.

Thanks Ian! Here's to nirvana soon.

A great start to your triptych project, looking forward to the other two.

You could eventually use three of the discarded internal doors to make some panels for them. :)

Grrrr! National Bin Day here and Bin lorry just broken down outside our house and covered the road in hydraulic fluid right at the bottom of our drive, what a mess. :(

Good grief - I hope that they get that mopped up and disposed of quickly, it makes a right mess.

What a contrast here this am with a much cooler morning when all nature thought spring was here.

This is just preparation for the winter type cold coming next week, but we are at c.latitude 55 degs.

We are going shopping next week, so Kathryne who has brought all our stuff, brings all our groceries and my meds today.
Marjorie takes no meds at 79, I have six different ones at moment and been on meds 30 years.

She has her second jab next week...12 weeks since first.

I am looking forward to when I fly up like an eagle and run and don't feel weary.
D.

Thank you for re-posting the link. I had meant to order it when you last posted it but when I went back to find it hundreds of posts had been posted after it and I just couldn't find it.

Have ordered it and will get it tomorrow. It is just what I wanted - no flavourings and no sugar. I will add it to my breakfast concoction of ground flaxseeds kefir, inulin, greek yoghurt and berries. Perfect.

That was a brilliant spoof and an amazing starter to a lesson about checking internet information. Plus ça change - put it on Facebook from an influencer and millions will swallow it. And that boys and gals is how we got The Donald and our very own Coco The Clown tribute act.

Ordinaire or Woke/Elite athlete? Breakfast sounds good but a) I'm not brave enough to try kefir (the seeds we bought look accusingly at me) and b) I just can't face breakfast or much lc food anymore. The Swoon Sisters flaxseed bread seems to embody everything Naiman advocates - high fibre, high protein, low carb. Freezes and toasts well, is very filling plus very useful for transit - almost too useful. Video here. Basically, I would be going back 6 years:arghh:

Geeze. Bin lorries are a complete law unto themselves...Hope they've cleaned it up

Herculean and very costly task to level this one up Coco. Meanwhile, pure coincidence that the alternative spin on yesterday's racial inequality report led to one fairly important guy concluding BL or any really, don't M to Coco. My bad, he was probably too woke or something like that. Oh no, just the meedja.

I don't function very well if I miss breakfast, so breakfast and my main meal at mid day works perfectly. I am fine then until the next morning.

Thank you for the link to the flaxseed bread. Have saved it this time. Will definitely try it as it looks delicious. We have a Hemsby and Hensley book - must get it out again and look at other recipes.

What is wrong with people? Aldi was a mish mash of people seemingly worrying about a famine approaching, social distancing was neither here nor even there but I survived...masked twice...as per Fauci from the States. In and out in 20 mins. Next time it's click and collect.

MrsBRS is at her neurology clinics all day, took Sid the Stinger for reasons I can't fathom and I now know Felix Formentor is really a Seat on steroids - and gets to go to the tip in a few @jjraak thanks for telling me! I'd never have known.

And then THIS happened. "So all the tooling is starting and the design stressing has gone to plan. Your software works great but we can't do this with you over there. You need to be in the Valley next Sunday for 9 days. Get your Covid stuff sorted, you've been vacc'd right?

There's no bjz jet going out but there's one coming through on the way back prolly. Book an open return flight just in case, rent a car - we'll get you an apartment near the office in Menlo. You're speaking to the group. 10 slides. Make it punchy, you're a Group VP now. K? Cya. Welcome back home".

"Oh ya, that'll be travel done till May, so ok mate. - nice job".

Sigh. I get my annual review when I'm over there with my boss too. Hope it'll go ok.

With the state of California in a right old mess, not sure 'bout any of this but I do have to go...

Just when I thought it was safe and normal...
