Now you know, Ian, what ET felt like?Good morning you lovely people. Clear, cold and I still can't settle in Suffolk. My birth certificate clearly shows born in Cambridge and like the ring in LOTR it seems to want to go home . 4.7 for me but it is Libre so I'm not silly enough to believe it is real. I find it hard enough to deal with the hunger and tiredness of this WOE without stabbing and despairing at crazy numbers. Libre and morning weigh ins motivate me - the food is a massive inconvenience. However, diabetic complications would be a bigger inconvenience. This is certainly a whole lot less intrusive and inconvenient than the treatment and monitoring for bladder cancer. Great news about the shower and negative test @SlimLizzy. I hope the return to France goes smoothly. Well done on avoiding the scam @karen8967 and thanks for sharing @jjraak even though we don't deal with Vodaphone it is good to know. Glad Popeye is more tolerant of your artistic endeavours today @gennepher. The course sounds good @Krystyna23040. Enjoy your day even if you are mad and totally unethical - which is hardly news to anyone when applied to our PM.
Thanks @SlimLizzy24-04-2021

The traditional day to pick Dandelions to make wine is the 23rd, Darn! Missed it again. Have made this and it was magnificent, beautifully clear, golden and as a result of accidental double fermentation highly alcoholic. Maybe when MrSlim actually retires we will be settled enough for wine making.
@gennepher amazing leap from Popeye, glad he is being kinder to you.
Wonderful bit of colour work @dunelmGood morning everyone from one of those of will it/won't it weather starts here in the dark and dangerous north.
The wonder wheel of a lazy DIY salad, picked over in the heat of the evening sun like a couple of exhausted crows who had miraculously found that they liked wine and could even hold a glass, came in at 5.2 this am.
A pleasant late breakfast at Alan Fresco’s and then over the moors to our little house on the prairie. The pleasantly warm morning turned into quite a hot afternoon. So hot in fact that Mrs Miggins donned a wide brimmed hat and put enough sun screen on to blend in with the Mudmen of Asaro. It painted quite a picture from my shaded seat as I watched her cooling the air with the pressure washer while at the same time cleaning down our two garden sheds, the contents of which we had turfed out for a spring clean.
Art - back to birds for a bit. Hope everyone has a pleasant day, I am still in the middle of my morning koffy.

Thank you @gennepherWonderful bit of colour work @dunelm
5.4 this morning. Course was really good - lots of new stuff to.think about and incorporate into my teaching. It is so lovely to be able to keep learning new stuff.
Dog walk in the sunshine and then the Saturday classes and then some time to relax. Hopefully that doesn't include watching too much snooker.
An expected 6.2 for me this morning after eating some leftover late night munchies of son's pakora.I find it really hard to resist sometimes if it is there ...
Picked up new glasses today - not sure if they are ok or not yet - might just take me a day or two to get used to them - new varifocals ...
and thanks for sharing @jjraak even though we don't deal with Vodaphone it is good to know. Glad
Good old George, nice supportive dragon.Good morning everyone on a pleasant start to St George’s Day here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of home made burger with spiced cabbage, onion and mushrooms came in at 4.5 this am
We are going over to our little house on the prairie today but not until after a late breakfast/early lunch with daughter and eldest son at splendid Alan Fresco’s. Film crews have begun appearing; Small Top Gun bloke running about on top of a train in Levisham on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and a bunch of Vikings making the most of the sunshine just up the coast filming for the next bit of Bernard Cornwell’s The Last Kingdom. Could be anyone though - they are all wearing masks.
Art bit for today - a dragon for St George’s Day. Hope everyone is as well as they can be in both body and mind. Koffy time.

A fine pair of Toadstools. Seems they survived the Badgers and the cat.Fbg, before I forget with this head butting cat who seems to have discovered my hernia and that it gets a reaction from me, is 6.9
This digital painting was also cut short by the same head butting cat, so this is as far as I can get with it...it is some pottery mushrooms in my garden...

Head-butting cat has been fed several sachets of cat food to try and keep him quiet a wee bit... i'm now going into the garden and head-butting cat will just have to look at me through my bedroom window…
Winner for good news, hug for memory problems.Good nearly Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
Just got in from having a routine liver scan at the local hospital, nothing unusual they said, triplets and a hermaphrodite, as me and me's left the scanning room all I could hear was laughter, most unprofessional I thought hehehehe.
A peanut fuelled 7.8 this morning, o whoops I have just remembered I have forgotten to take my medication. Grrrrrr
Well fellow posters, painters and gamers, be nice to your fellow man and bring a smile to their face.
Remember the stays. Must go approx 10 pills and an injection to take, plus koffy.
Thank you @Muddy CyclistA fine pair of Toadstools. Seems they survived the Badgers and the cat.![]()
