Good Morning and 6.4 for me today. A day of Low Card yesterday at BBQ with son, Salmon, Steak (there goes my Carbon Footprint) and salad.

A day of welding with son and games with Grandaughters. Welded stand for small climbing rose that we are putting in pot for a friends 70th thus the ES initials on the top. Cold day so we also welded up a fire pit which kept us warm until late evening ( even higher carbon footprint) and wasn't yesterday the first day of burning wet wood and coal day? :banghead:
IMG_4802.JPG IMG_4803.JPG So this is my art for yesterday.

A day of rest for us today.

Keep safe be bold.

good evening all :)

4.1 yesterday and 4.8 today
swings and roundabouts ;)

We ate too late for my liking yesterday evening.
Took mr gee to get his 2nd jab yesterday and then via the garage to find out what is ailing the car, mechanic has prognosticated it's the steering rack so I think we shall be rivalling Wilfrid in the 'sharp intake of breath' stakes @Muddy Cyclist :sorry:

After we got home mr gee decided he needed a nap, hence the late dinner ;) He also had quite a long sleep last night but woke up feeling fine with only a slightly stiff arm :)

Quiet day today, lots of people about in the village though and the caravan site seems well populated, not terribly warm here and it's pretty windy :)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@gennepher - very effective creamy moon, it sits well in your landscape and in the colour palette you've used :)

@dunelm - finely drawn pair of birds today and a nicely balanced composition, I like them very much :joyful:

@Muddy Cyclist - hugs for the tyre bill :sorry: your watercolour is coming along nicely, I like it at this stage too :) the evolution is interesting.

art bit -

Thank you @geefull and hope that the sharp intake of breath from the mechanic is not too severe. Another wonderful still life from you, so delicately done.

Another pleasant valley Sunday (lyrics) dawns clear and bright but too chilly for May. Very quiet in here on my timeline. Good to see you about and flourishing @karen8967. Fbg still shrouded in mystery post vacc#2. Perhaps resume on Tuesday which will be a week after the impost to my arm and the anniversary of me helping Abbott in their hour of need. Sore muscles from swinging my mattock and very vigorously wielding my hickory shaft axe - a thing of real beauty. Absolutely in my element smashing the whatsit out of ludicrous shrubs and trees that were here but I'm done now. I certainly need to find a way to artificially recreate that type of exercise - resistance bands? gym?. Have a safe, COVID conscious Sunday chums.
For poshness, you can join a local gym but whatever you do, don’t every go. Resistance bands are good when used in conjunction with a door bung (don’t go there).

Hug for higher than desired fbg @Muddy Cyclist. Thanks for the alert to the PE info @Krystyna23040 and enjoy the Bluebells. A quick skim of the PE info seemed to show no mention of impact on gout. @geefull I forgot to congratulate you on the splendid art you posted Saturday. @dunelm I have a weight machine, bands and free weights all sitting forlornly in a bedroom awaiting the converted garage to be cleared and turned into the gym for which I forked out. I do feel the need for a good PT who takes the time to assess my real needs and stresses proper form not more weight and reps.

Excellent use of old horse shoes - I see a potential second income on the horizon.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of baked beefsteak tomatoes stuffed with mozzarella, an egg and topped off with grated parmesan came in at 4.1 this am - must have been that side of bacon.

Should have been our annual family walking weekend over the bank holiday but, like last year, not to be. Mrs Miggins took some intrepid relatives on a coastal walk 16 miles for sum. Ankles playing up so didn’t attend but foolishly decided to meet them during the last leg and ended up walking over 8 miles.

Art today - the final (maybe) repeat of the foraging pair of birds - Brush paints on a Winsor & Newton marker paper, just to be different.

Drat, blast and other profanities over bloody slept AGAIN, it now feels like I should be starting this post with Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, but the time here in Tilehurst Towers is just 10:11am.

A 6.4 this morning.........meter.......######$......meter, we should have stayed imperial instead going metric.

Well, running late here, medication to take and then today's stuff.

Have a great day fellow posters, painters and gamers, no postal deliveries so no postman to bark at, but lots of youths on those powered scooter things to chase instead, if Mrs J slips my leash.

Amazing result today
7.20am FBG 5.5
This despite me deciding to have an indulgent day yesterday, choccy biscuit with coffee at patents house as well as a few strawberries. More biscuits at friends house. Chocolate in the evening - about half a bar. Along with all the normal sensible food.

Close encounters of entirely unknown kind.

According to some cosmologists it is possible if a star gets near to a black hole and does not cross its event horizon it can experience a sling shot effect that can propell it across the Universe at approaching the speed of light, together with any planets it might have.
If the planets do not have their orbits peturbed it would be amazing.
But what a ride that would be!

I reckon there is a science fiction novel there waiting be written but I bet its been done already.

I don't think one would see the star coming!

We live in a vast universe and even some atheists think life on Earth is unique.
I hope we learn to respect our uniqueness before its too late.

Enjoy your chocolate infused day - if it gets cold you could have hot chocolate and stir in a huge blob of nutella

Possible - is that a laconic answer?

Dry different birds today and interesting media change, worked well even though a very different style. I think I prefer the ink, rice paper and brush wash paintings in your hungry bird series. These however still are masterfully drawn.

Finished the first of my Spring Trees in sunlight watercolours. Since the first image I posted I have added some hint of forest in the background and darkened the blue, also added some leaf detail and roots to the Beech Tree, finished.

A4 Watercolour.

Had a lovely walk around The Great Wood at Blickling Hall in the sunshine. Bluebells only just starting to flower so we will go back in 2 weeks to see the dense blue carpet of bluebells in full flower.

Then we enjoyed a coffee (and Mr K a sausage roll) at the Muddy Boots Cafe. The dogs also enjoyed the walk and a piece of the sausage roll.
