Looking good @Muddy CyclistWell today's posts took some catching up on.

Earlier I said from North East should be South East.
I hope the weather calms for the crossing @SlimLizzyWe have made it to Portsmouth. Now we are enduring the screaming wind, watching the turbulent sea and waiting to board the ferry. It's not going to be plain sailing.
I wonder what the cost of real estate is in Svalbard? Probably need a lot of sun blocker.Hi all,
A cool weekend again in prospect.
Apparently to get warm we should go North to the Arctic Circle and be in our shorts and sit in deckchairs and look out across the Berents Sea.
Our youngest had her second A.Z. at York last night, the medics are doing a great job.
Stay safe this weekend and don't get blue.
D.
It is too cold @geefull I have gone back to electric blanket...good evening all
4.5 today
cold, wet and windy here todayIt's down to 5'C today again. Middle of May and still wearing big wooly sweaters, whooda thunk?
Volunteering day yesterday so we were quite late back after eating out and we went out early to look at a leak in the bathroom at mum's, it isn't serious but needs to be fixed.
So, off we went into the town to the plumbers merchants to get the necessary bits and will probably go back to mum's tomorrow, we need to get our timing right thoughbecause it was fitted out a while ago there isn't a way of isolating the cold water feed to the bathroom without turning off the water at the stopcock (not that we can see anyway).
Hope your day is treating you well
@Muddy Cyclist - striking larches, I love the contrast between the fresh glowing larch needles and the dusky purple you've brought into the background
Lovely sky for the start of your new painting too, I look forward to seeing the progress
@dunelm - I enjoyed both of your rock paintings, the muted background in the first is very effective at creating depth and today's mountain range has lovely scale
@gennepher - I'm glad that your rest has helped you get over the horrible shopping experience
Your first painting is spectacular with all that colour and I also like the texture you've used. Your blossom is just lovely and the bridge gives it a great sense of depth and perspective
@SlimLizzy - hope your trip goes fairly smoothly
@ianpspurs - I hope your poor dog recovers quickly
art bit - not too sure about this paper, it takes the water in more quickly than I'm used to, so the paint stays put, it will take a bit of practice I think.

Great mountains again @dunelmgood morning everyone from an angry weather night and a blustery morning here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of “how many chips before the safe word” came in at 6.1 this am so in the self inflicted dog house today.
A bit macabre maybe but here is something that appeared in my latest AFPS (Armed Forces Pension Scheme) Quarterly Digest that I was not aware of. There is a ‘Tell Us Once’ scheme where, upon reporting a death, the service then notifies such agencies as DVLA, Passport Office, HMRC, DWP, local councils. More info at https://www.gov.uk/after-a-death. Might be worth storing away. In other news, my military pension has increased by 0.5%. I expect that this means that I can now afford another item of choice at Poundland.
Free trade offer to Australia - what bright spark came up with that idea. “Yes Minister, we do need to cut down on meat consumption to save the planet, but this particular meat is grown in the Southern Hemisphere and only then is it shipped the 8000 miles up to us.”
2nd Jab day - 1130 and must remember to take some parrots eat ‘em all before we go.
Art today - sticking with rocks and stuff - 7x3 inches - must be getting stir crazy for some - the mind is looking towards the mountains - the body is taking cover and not getting involved. Have a great Saturday, despite the weather. Hope your crossing is not too bad for you @SlimLizzy. Koffy time.

Brilliant solution to the badger problem. And I'm going to join this cat under the electric blanket...
Oh, by the way I may have sorted out the badger problem.
I tipped the contents of the cat tray in his specially dug hidey holes in my garden...
He/she is welcome to use my front garden, but not my back garden...
Interesting solution to the badger problem so hope it works. lovely composition with those blossoms falling against the pale yellow dawn.Well those posts took me awhile!!!

Electric blanket back on.
I have a very long cat under it. He seems to have grown in length.
I have been awake since 2.30 am
His lordship woke me for food.
When I finally woke up, I could not get back to sleep again.
I always have a window open in my bedroom. But there is so much icy cold air coming through it. And it is raining heavily...
My iPad was busy updating. And so I used my tiny Android Pixel screen on my phone to do today's painting in ZenBrush3. I don't know if that Pixel screen is even 2" x 3".
It is too blinking tiny to use, and I did not found it easy, and the painting is clumsy...
And it took much longer to do than doing the same thing on the iPad ZenBrush3
Here is my offering .
And I'm going to join this cat under the electric blanket...

I might have one more go with the painting in the ZenBrush3 in that tiny Pixel screen, because the first time with anything is finding out where the settings are on a smaller screen…
One clumsy painting coming up....

Live classes - smashing. Hope that head wound sorts itself out soon. Don’t you just hate it when a thingy starts leaking.5.6 this morning.
Taught my classes back at my local venue yesterday. We all really enjoyed them. Back on Zoom again today for Norwich classes.
Car passed MOT but has a leak in a thingy under the car. Maybe a slave cylinder for the gearbox. Luckily it is under warranty.
Head still not healed so have to wear the dressing again for another week. Hopefully it will have healed by then.
At the moment I feel like I am being buried under an avalanche of Covid-19 forms and email queries from class members. Thank goodness it is half term soon and I can catch up with the other admin stuff.
As long as the sun block stops the polar bears thinking you are an edible white seal!I wonder what the cost of real estate is in Svalbard? Probably need a lot of sun blocker.
