Popeye was asleep on my lap, then awoke to put his paw on the birds in this digital painting in Procreate, and then he went back to sleep again.

At 66 I've reached the end of my useful time so 'tis par for the course. Just waiting for bits to drop orf. Goodness knows how I'll get on as I don't wear cardigans and can't stand soup. Guess I'll soon develop a dribble and slightly damp, fusty odour.;)
Hey @ianpspurs Am I to write you off?
Say goodbye to the humorous curmudgeon? All because of a number. I do hope not, not only would I miss your input, but I would enter that same exit zone far too soon myself, in only a matter of months.
As for bits dropping orf, can't see what has gone but 5kg has gone missing, since we arrived in France. If you find it, I don't want it back. Am happy at 50kg.

I have written something to hand to the nurse at the rainbow hospital next week. It is not much, but it took me all day to write.
A little feedback would be appreciated thank you. An emojie will be great if you think it is okay and does the job. Or is there anything that needs making clearer or added to?

1. I had my first Pfizer Covid jab on Feb 8th 2021 at ________

The invite was by SMS text message.

I have my vaccination card here.

2. This will be my 2nd jab.

Will it be Pfizer?

Is it safe for me to have the 2nd jab after 5 months?

How effective will it be?

3 I was waiting to be invited for my 2nd jab. The only communication I have received was this letter dated 28/06/21. It seems there is no record of me having my 1st jab. How do I make sure my NHS vaccination records are correct with the 8th Feb jab and this one? Will you help with that?
"

I can do yes or no when people are behind a mask (because people will do the head nod or shake), but anything that resembles a conversation of information or enquiry I am unable to do because of my deafness...

I think you covered that well @gennepher

I would like to think someone presenting me with that would have me stepping up several gears to find answers and ways to keep them informed

Hope that's how it goes in real life for your visit

Well done Popeye - finishing touches and paws of approval are so important. Another stylish piece, looks like a window into the enchanted forest. Keep staring those birds down Popeye.

All bases covered. I know that you have a card explaining that you are deaf but do ram it home:

“I am deaf so please be patient. If you are wearing a mask then I cannot lip read to converse with you unless it is a clear mask. I have questions that I must ask - here they are.”

Good morning everyone from a misty and very quiet aftermath of a stormy night here at our little house on the prairie
The wonder wheel of “I did tell you that I would need exchanging whilst you were away” is now consigned to the world of mystery and imagination. Never mind - I can guess - 4.1 or perhaps, no, I shall stick with the first thing that popped into my head, never mind all that nonsense about no evidence - I should be in politics.

Well, wonders of wonders, despite promises otherwise, rain did not stop play yesterday. In fact it had no lines and only made two very brief appearances and those way behind the chorus line - mainly crowd noises of “rhubarb, rhubarb”.
Last night was a different matter; black, then bright lightning, booming thunder, all to the sound of ducks cheering and dancing around a recording from inside Niagara falls.

Art today - a quick sketch on Procreate. Also a photo of the largest monolith in Britain and a big stone (it has a metal cap - precursor to a tinfoil hat). Stay happy, genuflect to Mr Southgate and drink more koffy.

Thank you very much @dunelm
And Popeye appreciates your words...

4.8 today. Was really surprised as spent hours sitting at computer on Zoom course then did loads of admin. I expected much higher fbs.

Am absolutely up to date with admin. Day 3 of my course today. It finishes at 3.30pm and as all admin is done I have the rest of the day to relax.

Thanks very much @dunelm

I was wanting to put something in the beginning about deafness problems. But it got complicated and long winded as I am personally emotional involved in it. It is so much easier to write something for someone else.

What you have just written above is absolutely perfect, concise, and very to the point. I shall use it word for word.
Thank you again.

Some confusion about days this week. We thought it was Thursday, went shopping and bought a huge 1000l watertank made plans for a very noisy job on saturday morning, as part of its installation, only to discover some time later it was already Saturday evening. With the French attitude to noise at weekends, have had to scrap that job until monday. Not sure how MrSlim will fit in his planned building tasks for what he thought was going to be Friday?
Also will need to make sure all is in readiness for arrival of extra worker tomorrow.
The neighbours cat has been making herself noticeable, hanging about, desecrating my vegetable beds. Can see I will have to unpack the enormous water pistols soon.
Edit, have just realised I missed the Saturday morning dechetterie as well. There will be no woodchips for the garden this week.

Ho ho, what have we here? Independence Day in Little America and Swipey greeted me with a truly malicious 5.6 :arghh: One can live an austere life, largely deprive oneself of any joy from food. plan and read around the subject but in the end T2 does just what it wants anyhow. I fear things will get worse as the English Patient is intent on me feeding us with red meat - Lamb shoulder.:banghead: So teamwork makes the dream work for Gareth's boys. Fully woke, glorious young rainbow coalition, vibrant emblems of what England should, could and hopefully will be when an Aslan appears, exposes the outright fraudulence and duffs up The Odious Ogre. Meanwhile at Wimbledon Raducanu is into week 2 whilst awaiting A Level results. Our yoof give an old curmudgeon hope @SlimLizzy. I shan't look for those 5kgs. I did find the missing Libre reader last Thursday. @gennepher @jjraak and @dunelm have covered all bases so best wishes for a smooth, stressless day. @Krystyna23040 enjoy the downtime after zoom. @dunelm super art and photo. If that is Mrs Miggins you are batting well above your average son. @jjraak those trainers may well not be any better than plimsolls if'n plimsolls are 4wd and Adidas branded. Jim Peters couldn't cross the line in his though. Tinkety Tonk Old Fruits.
