What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

This run of readings suggests we - LC and I - may be done and pills or jabs are needed.
@ianpspurs - it does sound that your pancreas does need a little bit more help than low carb and exercise can give it at the moment. My pancreas also goes through these phases where fbs isn't ideal but then picks up again and starts to happily sort out the blood sugars. As far as I can see there is no rhyme or reason to it.

It was exactly the same before I started low carb and was on insulin. Sometimes my pancreas worked well and I was hypoing after injecting insulin. Other times, after eating an identical meal, pancreas and insulin injections didn't work and I had sky high blood sugars (well over 10.0). It was very frustrating and a little bit scary.

New Swipey offered up a 6.2. On its own totally unacceptable and as part of a 4 month trend very concerning. I have always been uneasy over my Faustian pact with LC. All it offered was a reasonable bg control. My June A1c of 5.4 was meh but acceptable since there were no red flags on my full bloods. This run of readings suggests we - LC and I - may be done and pills or jabs are needed. MRI shows surgery is required maybe even metalwork. At least that has a history of success. @gennepher what can anyone say that will not sound like an empty platitude? @dunelm thanks for the art, good find on the Elijah Craig was it the small batch? Enjoy Lidl. @Krystyna23040 how long did the "holiday" last? @alf_Josiah take it easy today - can you play other Eagles songs? The revolution will eat itself? I always thought that was overdone but maybe not. We have an unbelievably cute granddaughter with her chocolate coins treasure to guard and a 91.99 yo Great Gran to deliver for an eyesight check at horsepittal. Y'all do whatever it takes.
Yes, small batch and just ordered a bottle

@gennepher as I read your post I had a sudden thought that these telescopic tree loppers might be Ideal for***************** I am sure that thought has probably crossed your mind also.

Thanks @ianpspurs
It is difficult to say anything on this...

@ianpspurs holiday not started yet, but really good that I can catch up with this really important stuff. It will be a really lovely feeling once I am completely up to date.

I was really pleased to get a phone call from our Professional Body that I course on knee issues now has a vacancy and I am now booked on it for this Saturday. I felt a little bit bad at feeling so happy there was a cancellation when I was told that the teacher cancelling her place had cancelled because she her father had just died.

This week is turning out to be a really busy week.
Hugs for your feelings on this @Krystyna23040

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and sympathy to @gennepher for having to live next to what could be read as Beachyhead light house.
A 6.2 on that meter of mistrust
Here in Tilehurst Towers me and me’s have a hopefully medically free day, plinky plonky and rest up.
Have a great day
Thanks for your thoughts @alf_Josiah
I hope you had a lovely day.

Long day.
Just got back.
Managed to finish one Christmas card to give to my friend.
Her hubby likes robins.
If I don't put a Robin on, it comes back in January, and I am requested to put a Robin on...
Didn't have quite the right red.
It is a bit pinky.
But I found some Brush Pens in The Works. The same @dunelm said he had (Thank you).
And I will try these tomorrow morning on the some of rest of the Xmas cards.

My friend and I discussed the maniac Xmas Lights neighbour. It was good to talk in real time with an actual person on this (although you lot have been very supportive on this, and I do really appreciate that).

She has also suffered Mr Insensitive Ignoramus Idiot neighbour openly watching/leering at both of us in my back garden when I first moved here, and thought he was a horrible man.

So, we discussed, came up with ideas and why those ideas. Which ideas would I be happy to live with, thus serving a dual purpose. I showed her some pictures on Amazon, same and also some different ones to those I showed you. I bought one we both agreed on there and then, one you have not seen. It should come tomorrow. Then we shopped in Poundland for bits and pieces on this matter. Then we got some stuff in another shop on this matter.

The fun starts tomorrow.

Now I am going to try to catch up on a missed nights sleep. I managed to cut some more bamboo in the dark and placed it where his extra lights are coming through and pervading my bedroom and sleep. It worked and should hold until at least tomorrow.

Here is the one I gave her. She liked it.

Great to meet with friends and talk things through, another day, another battle to win. Beautiful card, very festive and glad that she liked it.

Good morning from Forest Heath. No escape from the sound of Uncle Sam's military might early doors here but I'm not sitting in the cold to watch The Ashes and JKP would be "vaguely annoyed" if I watched in bed. 5.8 from Swipey before DawnP''s ravages. Far too high but many would probably take that. I've no way of knowing how good or bad that is given the ongoing internal and external Omnishambles. Feelings are notoriously unscientific but this all feels most sub-optimal. Lat flow indicates I have a cold but who knows these days? @gennepher best wishes for your cunning plan. So cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a fox? Two granddaughters today as well as gym and school pickup so almost like three Delta/Omicron parties. Take care - Whitty care not Bertie Booster care. Two briefings for the price of one - world leading unprecedented levels of bull manure vs measured, knowledgeable sense. Too much choice?

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, dawn is just breaking, breaking what, me and me’s know knot, naughty lady.

A 6.3 this morning on that meter……….
Well fellow posters, painters and gamers and are you wondering about national bin day? Darn sarf of the Watford gap national bin dayis a mystery.
Listening to Bumbling Boris the Beast and then the national BBC’s work of doom, gloom and despondency yesterday afternoon me and me’s have come to the conclusion that we are all doomed, doomed I say. Nothing new then, better just get on wif life then.
Have a great what ever, stay etc, etc, etc.
Time to drink koffy.

5.7 this morning. Had a good day yesterday and got lots done. Still lots more to do but it feels really good to be ploughing quickly though the work.

Last night we finished watching Dalgleish. We really enjoyed the series.

Good morning everyone, the bins are out and it looks like it’s going to be a wonderful day here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of chicken topped with mozzarella and bacon came in at 5.0 this am.

Shopping yesterday - I mistook Aldi for Lidel. Never mind, the car knew where to go.
Art bit - a tree of course. Hope that everyone has a wonderful day. Must be time for a koffy.
