@ianpspurs - it does sound that your pancreas does need a little bit more help than low carb and exercise can give it at the moment. My pancreas also goes through these phases where fbs isn't ideal but then picks up again and starts to happily sort out the blood sugars. As far as I can see there is no rhyme or reason to it.This run of readings suggests we - LC and I - may be done and pills or jabs are needed.
It was exactly the same before I started low carb and was on insulin. Sometimes my pancreas worked well and I was hypoing after injecting insulin. Other times, after eating an identical meal, pancreas and insulin injections didn't work and I had sky high blood sugars (well over 10.0). It was very frustrating and a little bit scary.
