Fantastic @dunelmBig hugs for automatic wiper gate but another smashing piece of Christmas art. I searched this, hope it helps: https://www.google.com/search?q=dis...j0j7&hl=en-GB&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
@gennepher that is a nightmare. Hope you can sort the wipersIt's heavy going home traffic on a horrendous rainy dark and stormy evening.
What's wrong now?
My windscreen wipers are broken. They are behaving erratically. Suddenly going fast, suddenly going slow, and stopping totally when I drive under a bridge.
I feel physically sick.
Thanks @Krystyna23040@gennepher that is a nightmare. Hope you can sort the wipers
I love your Christmas cards.
Hug for the hypo but winner for the recovery. In case you are too busy to post, Merry Christmas.Hypo this morning which rose back up to a nice 6.0
Have a good day everyone
Added to this.Just got back from the vaccination centre.
I was expecting to get Pfizer, the same as my other two jabs.
But they said they were giving me Spikevax today.
What's Spikevax I ask?
Oh, it's Moderna they said. It is very similar to Pfizer, in make up, and the rest of the explanations were lost on me.
You only have to wait 5 minutes with this one the Spikevax, then you can go. But are you driving? Yes, I said. Then you need to wait an additional 15 minutes otherwise your insurance is invalid. But you can wait that 15 mins in your car.
So, I get up to go, and this other guy also waiting in the waiting area says you have to wait in here for 15 mins. I tell him I was only told to wait 5 mins. And I leave, and finish my waiting in my car.
So, I am thinking, maybe he had the Pfizer?
And was it random that I got the Spikevax?
I don't think Spikevax is a good name...
I feel fine, or did until I got home. I feel rather cold, waves of cold. Don't know if this is the vaccine, or because it is cold anyway. Got central heating on full blast, and am under my electric blanket, also on full blast. I do get affected by the cold easily anyway in my old age.
I am going to make another cuppa and snuggle under the electric blanket. And read what the government site says about Spikevax.
Catch you later...
Thank you very much @ianpspursGreetings all. These things I know: Swipey showed 5.1 @ 4.10 am. I don't need to wake that early and knowing my fbg won't alter how I handle T2. Fish salad for 90+% of my main meals and lots of tea. More sleep would be a better option. Yesterday I ate an orange and cranberry mince pie with orange pastry, made (mincemeat and all) by JKP and Beryl the Peril - Minnie the Minx needed and afternoon nap. Denis the Menace felt the ipad was the best option. Spectacular rise for bg but home again for bedtime. @gennepher appalling service but wonderful creative. Best wishes for the jab. @jjraak hug for all the worry and trouble but it sounds promising for your long term, what a great attitude and yes, hospital food and Elsie are incompatible. Who thought it would be a good idea to collect a turkey from the farm gate (80 mile round trip)? Probably the man who never planned on having 3 grandchildren and a streaming cold (that's all LTs show) on the day. What jolly japes does your day have in store? Pip Pip Old Toots.
You are doing brilliantly with your blood sugars on hospital food @jjraakBest night sleep in 4 days
Give the best BG in 4 days
7.1...,not too shabby given it's 14 days plus of hospital food![]()
Amitriptyline is brilliant @dunelm Sometimes less is more. And I can find that taking the 10mg as separate doses over a few hours is better than taking all three 10 mg together.Good morning everyone from a zombi-like state here in the dark and dangerous north
the wonder wheel of out at the pub came in at 5.5 this am
Amitryptelin- can’t see if that is right - but anyhow - took 2 x 10mg tablets at 9pm and by 10.30 the film I wanted to watch turned into a blur and I went to bed. Slept until 7.30 - result - but will try just one this am (doc said that I could take up to three).
Mrs Miggins is taking everyone on the Santa Special on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway today - everyone frantically dressing on sparkly things and multitasking with breakfast toast with chocolate spread. Three small versions of the Joker from Batman.
Another Christmas theme this morning. Hope you all have a good day. Koffy time.

...and I hope that you stay well too @alf_JosiahGood national bin day Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.
A 4.7 this morning before being dragged round food shop like a naughty boy.
For some known reason me and me’s are not trusted with the shopping and compiling shopping lists also it seems writing cards for “ Her “ fiends, my friends don’t expect cards from me.
Well, me and me’s hope the poorly ones get well soon and the rest of you all stay well.
Good morning,
Fbg was 5.0 this early morning. I think I slept better and was definitely less anxious than last few nights.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas eve! We are having nibblies at the in laws tonight. Hope it's not too hot either today!
