What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Creative...I just took a photo of the corner of my bedroom, put it through loads of apps. Got more and more dissatisfied. My attempt to put a ghostly Popeye in looked like demented Ozzie Osbourne looking directly at me.

So, deleted Ozzy, tried again, looks more like Popeye now.

This effect was not what I intended....but I learnt a lot...

What will today bring...

Good morning everyone on a quite damp start here in the dark and dangerous north
Another walk yesterday, 2 miles. Mrs Miggins dropped me off in town and I took a scenic route home. Although such a small walk is an improvement, the frustration was a photo of us on top of Snowdonia that popped up in my farce bok feed. Oh well, small steps. Mrs Miggins and the girl in the bubble are still snoring the roof off upstairs. No nursery for the midget today, she is still demonstrating the rivers of Babylon. Carpenter will be here soon, he will be on top of the world to see that we have cleared a space for him on the drive.
Art bit, another large sheet of rice paper and a bit more colour. Have a fabulous day if you can. Time for some koffy.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and most who inhabit this, the 3rd rock from the sun.

Blood sugars today, 1st attempt a 3.9, 2nd attempt a 4.3, average equates to 4.2. It is very difficult to take blood sugars when your hands are shaking and you’re not thinking clearly. Rather than munch jelly babies my solution was 2 slices of toast swimming under a sea of jam. In no way could me and me’s manipulate that up to date sliderule or perform the tea bag reading ceremony so a good old guesstimate for my insulin dosage was made.

Sympathy is not required, nor welcome, but a gift of the ability to master the keyboard scale of Bb#minor would be most welcome and also a strong koffy.
Yesterday me and me’s managed to achieve all my unspoken goals, but today is a different ball game, high on the list is a communication I received from the NHS asking me to book my 4th jab, yes that’s correct 4th jab. Now it’s koffy time
Stay safe, stay apart and I shall stay masked.
 
5.0 this morning. Just relaxing with a coffee after walking the dogs. Feeling quite tired this morning even though I got a good nights sleep

Beautiful sunshine but the wind is making it very chilly..

@gennepher Love the picture but please could you give me a a clue where Popeye is as I have searched and searched for him.

I can do the strong coffee for you @alf_Josiah
But scales on the keyboard are way beyond me, although Google tells me...
"The B-sharp natural minor scale has 5 sharps, 2 double-sharps.

Warning: The B-sharp key is a theoretical minor scale key.

A theoretical scale?

I have a keyboard which J bought me when I got the cochlear implant. It has been hiding awhile...

Why thank you young lady, your posting brought a smile to my face, but the scale Bb#minor, Mr/Mrs google would never tell you the correct way to play this scale is to belt the keyboard with a length of lead pipe, but Mr Fred Wedlock did in his lecture on playing the scale of H. Thanks for the marvellous art work.

Thank you for sharing your artistic/creative gifts @dunelm and @gennepher. Hug for the early start if it was unintended @Jojo85. Sorry to hear of the insulin dosage problems @alf_Josiah. Great fbg @Krystyna23040 and @karen8967. I had a good session in the gym yesterday and the scan went smoothly. Now I must be like Mr Asquith and wait and see. Probably fairly safe now to use a new Swipey as whatever "they" are curious about besides the stenosis can't possibly be helped in any way by delinquent blood sugars. Yesterday was the 2nd anniversary of our move here. Not at all what I hoped for but I doubt Moses planned to have a hangry, thirsty mob giving him GBH of the earoles - other comparisons are available in all good books and some terrible ones as well. As always," my times are in your hands." Who is the man in the (FFP3) mask? Is it you Alf? Here is the original which neither JKP nor myself had ever seen or heard. Sorry about lyrics Genn.

I think the days of me being able to play Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata on the keyboard, pretending it is a piano, looking beautiful and floaty, are extraordinarily slim...
The lead pipe is more achievable...but I can dream...

Early bird this morning...
A day when I have to be there when I am still here...

Creative...well...it's on the iPad with two tree photos put in the app called Tiny Planets, then inverted them. Popped into Procreate. But I had a fixed idea what the finished product/painting should be. Sigh. It is nothing like it.

Sigh...

What I really wanted to do was do an acrylic painting (this is @dunelm 's fault for doing big paintings, it is lovely doing things in large...sometimes), my bungalow is too small for this. I can only do big paintings when we get a run of dry weather, and I put up a table outside, acrylic paints and all the paraphernalia needed. And it stays out there day and night for a week or longer if the weather is kind to me.

I wanted a palette knife in an app to do the painting I wanted with the trees. Procreate doesn't do one, at least not in the brushstroke downloads I've made so far. There might be some you can purchase for it. But, what I have done in the meantime is download some apps which do have palette knives within them. And maybe have another try at this photo/painting tonight....

Oh, his lordship is in there, and he is not that ginger cat...
But I got a bit carried away with small pixels again...sorry, I forgot they were so small...

A more normal for me 5.4 this morning. The run of 4s seems to be over but I am very happy with readings in the 5s.

Dog walk shortly. When I typed dog walk - predictive text wanted me to add postponed. It would be lovely to relax in the warm a little longer as it still is quite windy this morning.
