Fbg 6.6

Early bird this morning...
A day when I have to be there when I am still here...

Creative...well...it's on the iPad with two tree photos put in the app called Tiny Planets, then inverted them. Popped into Procreate. But I had a fixed idea what the finished product/painting should be. Sigh. It is nothing like it.

Sigh...

What I really wanted to do was do an acrylic painting (this is @dunelm 's fault for doing big paintings, it is lovely doing things in large...sometimes), my bungalow is too small for this. I can only do big paintings when we get a run of dry weather, and I put up a table outside, acrylic paints and all the paraphernalia needed. And it stays out there day and night for a week or longer if the weather is kind to me.

I wanted a palette knife in an app to do the painting I wanted with the trees. Procreate doesn't do one, at least not in the brushstroke downloads I've made so far. There might be some you can purchase for it. But, what I have done in the meantime is download some apps which do have palette knives within them. And maybe have another try at this photo/painting tonight....

Oh, his lordship is in there, and he is not that ginger cat...
But I got a bit carried away with small pixels again...sorry, I forgot they were so small...

Be good today...

Bye....

Beautiful piece of digital art. I like the way that you can decide whether you are on a boat on a reflective water or sat on a bench wondering why there is a boat there. Popeye in the smoke, great. Hope that the acrylics come out soon.

A more normal for me 5.4 this morning. The run of 4s seems to be over but I am very happy with readings in the 5s.

Dog walk shortly. When I typed dog walk - predictive text wanted me to add postponed. It would be lovely to relax in the warm a little longer as it still is quite windy this morning.
Enjoy a wonderful hot drink after your windy walk

Thank you @dunelm
:)

Good morning everyone under an angry looking sky here in the dark and dangerous north
Mrs Miggins up and out early yesterday with the girl in the bubble while I stayed waiting for goods to be delivered. This enabled me to enjoy a morning performance of The Cacophony Sonata by the carpenters who were busy demolishing two cupboards that were built into the fabric of the house and then doing a bit of plastering in preparation for some new stuff today. We will be disappearing off to look at carpets and bits of lino (spare bits can be used as summer sledges on grassy hills).
Another big sheet splurge of ink on rice paper - I might just continue in this vein for a while as I have lots of big sheets that I usually cut into three. Mittwoch - have a great one if you can, they only appear every week. Koffy time.

Greetings one and all on weigh-in-Wednesday (74.4 kgs since you asked) in this exact patch of Forest Heath USA. Swipey still boxed. Gym at 10.45 then orf to Cambridge - after shower and change obs- where M and S food, Lidl, Aldi and Starbucks are all within about .5 of a mile. Valentines day meal deal hunt and spend a £20 voucher. We must be home by 4.00 pm to collect our granddaughter from Nursery (no longer COVID central?) and return her home to where the fighter planes live. @gennepher, wonderful creative today thank you so much. @dunelm thanks for the art and best wishes for carpet hunting. Personally, I prefer wood/stone/engineered flooring but we are all different thankfully. Duck breast salad last evening was a triumph darling, a triumph. More Assam before venturing unto the Land of Lycra (I'm not a MAMIL but a walking Nike advert) Have a chune which needs to be on loop as I shift some blocks and bridge me glutes. Physio says I'm good to go if'n I don't imagine I'm Sampson or preparing for The Superbowl.

We saw some of this, on vinyl. Oh what a feeling, you can glue it to the ceiling

These big sheets @dunelm have a majesty that doesn't seem to happen in the small paintings. I like them very much.

Hi everyone,

5am start today as I am babysitting my sisters little ones. Fbg was 5.4

On the plus I am down 50kg since July 2021 :) still got some to go but a huge milestone.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day

Enjoy the babysitting and congratulations on the downsizing.

Good morning everyone from another day with weather included, here in the dark and dangerous north
Under stairs boot and shoe cupboard now complete and built in wardrobes should be finished today also. We have the girl in the bubble today - still not quite right to return to nursery but she seems to be picking up. I have ordered some new supplies in order to size my large sheets of rice paper - Alum and gelatine. You dissolve them in water and paint onto the paper. Rice paper comes raw, semi-sized and sized - the more size, the less porous. Bread making yesterday and just for fun, added 25g strong bread flour and a heaped teaspoon of vital wheat gluten to make less cake like - not bad.
Landscape sheet today - same large size at the portraits of late but turned 90 degrees - crazy or what! Have yourselves a great day if you can. It’s the parade of the bin lorry here this morning. Koffy first though.

Fbg 6.6

Yesterday I went to England to meet my friend. We ordered our food from the screens. I went to clean the table and chairs, as I always do, but there were no hand spray and no blue disposable towels on the shops's sanitary station. Someone else must have it I thought. So I always carry a supply of stuff with me so I use my own stuff to disinfect/sanitise the table and the chairs.

We talked. We had our coffee. But, when we came to leave I noticed that the woman who was cleaning the ordering screens and tables was using a tea towel, and not only that, she was wiping all the screens with the same tea towel, then she went on to the tables wiping them with the same tea towel and she didn't have any sanitiser/disinfectant spray.

Is that the new thing to spread Covid as far as possible and to as many people as possible? I despair. England is doomed...

We noticed that the sanitiser in the shops had gone as well, no one was wearing masks just us two. We are going to be pariahs soon.....

I have no desire to go over the border to England any time soon.

Where I live in Wales the cafes near me have not still not opened for table sitting down (that is all cordoned off), but they do takeaways.

Creative today...a kind person sent me a link to insert the palette knives in Procreate. Thank you.

I imported the palette knives. This is a very quick 10 minute tryout and play with those palette knives using the same picture as yesterday.

My plan is to use the same picture the next few days, and hopefully improve my technique with these palette knives, and find what they are capable of.

Be good. Avoid all people. Avoid all ordering touch screens. Avoid life....
