Them crisp breads look nice I’m going order some do you know any low carb crackers? Just to have with a bit of cheese I’m on 50 carbs a day but I’m try to up it a little to say 60 or 70 but I don’t know what to eat for supper times thanks
Try M & S super seedy crackers. Less than 4 g carbs for the whole box. But they can be hard to find as most of us buy multiple boxes when they are in stock20210628_164736_copy_612x816.jpg

Oh yes!! I shouldn't have had this half. Had only been left by guests. So glad I didn't like it. Won't be eating one again

B: 3 small eggs scrambled with ham. Coffee with cream
4 hour dog walk!
One break at a cafe for coffee (with milk, no cream available) and a leek and potato soup. Bg shot up to 9.5. Won't be trying that again.
A second stop for ginger tea and 2 bites hubbys carrot cake produced no bg rise at all.
D: lamb chops from farm shop with jazzed up sad veg (microwaved then added cream cheese and the remnants of the garlic and herb marinade from the chops). 2 glasses red and 3 sqs 85% choc.

I have a moderate lchf food list as I allow ~100 to 150 grams carb per day.

I have some of these pepper crackers at night with blue cheese on them, they are not low carb though. If I stick to eating four my bgl is reasonably good in the morning.

Don't know where you can get this brand in the UK as I think it's a Coles generic brand.

Awe thanks that’s great I do low carb but have mainly protein foods I love seafood to

I like a drink of a good port every now and again, I also liked a rough red like merlot when I used to eat a lot of pasta, but still have a glass or two as I like it's unpretentious qualities. :D

I don't count carbs now that I am in remission and my weight is good. I drink any red wine, some whites depending on taste and spirits with soda water, but not every night. Am away on holiday at the moment so a bit freer than usual.
Some low carbers won't touch alcohol becuase it affects the liver, and the liver is better used concentrating on controlling insulin.

And in the UK, no alcoholic drink has to show the nutritional info, sadly, whereas food ahs too legally

Morning all. Skipped bf. My son-in-law is coming to lunch so it's roast chicken (I'll soon cluck) Celeriac mash for me, potato mash for him, carrot, broccoli, cabbage, yorkies (1 small for me) and gravy. Tonight will be anything low carb I fancy. The bread I bought yesterday (13g carb per slice) didn't give me a spike so I'm really happy about that. I can have my cheese on toast a bit more often! I also found a Mo Farah air fryer in B n M's. It's not a family size one but it is just for me so it doesn't matter.

hi @Jayne1983 ,

I get Olinas low carb flatbreads, they are mainly seeds (see below) which I usually have with pate or cream cheese. Flatbreads are 0.2grams carbs per slice!

or (as much mentioned on this thread)! Marks and Spencers Simply Food outlets do a version, super seeded crackers. Equally low in carbs but not available in the normal m and s food hall. Also, not all Simply food stock them

Breakfast: Mushroom and garlic omelette (21/2 eggs, spilled half of the 2nd one when it cracked too easily) with 4 cherry tomatoes added to the mix.

Had to use the last of the pack of mushrooms before they went off so I've made a kind of course mixture of mushroom, onion and garlic (can't remember the proper name for it) to use on some other occasion.

Intending to make some steamed salmon parcels with parma ham and chard. I'll have to think of something to do with the chard stems because I don't want to throw them out.

Intending because yesterday I seriously ran out of steam after Em had gone home and everything got left and there is all the stuff I should have done yesterday to do yet, as well as today's tasks. As a result, I didn't do any cooking after all. Just had drinks of tea for the remainder of the day. BG up to 15.0 by bed time when I took a correction dose. Then couldn't lay down in bed because my chest was too bad, so I spent the night in the kitchen chair. Slept for about 4 hours. So, it's possible I'll run out of steam again today.
