Sunday

I was wiped out with the heat yesterday afternoon. But apparently today will be hotter. But on Monday 29C is predicted. That will wipe me out totally for during the day...

I am just at the stage of shoving stuff in boxes, throwing them in the garage, before the heat reaches that, and putting my feet up!

I moved a couple of things in the garage yesterday to make room, so I can do that this morning....

Midnight came in with me and his eyes widened, and looked at me.
"A new Pad for me," they said, "I approve..."
"I can bring my girlfriend back in here," his eyes further said.
"No, " I replied, "You have to learn how to use the cat flap first."
But Midnight had already disappeared into the depths of The Tardis...

He needs to lose weight first, otherwise he will be firmly stuck in that cat flap door. I have restricted his food...his weight problem could be with him being a stray and he was a bottomless pit when he found food when he first came here. He had no cut off I'm full button then. I have wormed him. I am surprised how little he eats now. That cut off I'm full button seems to work now. Also, maybe he just needed to feel loved. And maybe this will take a bit of time...

Kaleidoscope is Laboscope pointed into the sky..

Hot cuppa tea needed now...

And I need an arm waving Octopus to keep away those pesky white butterflies determined to propogate their species on my tree kale and other brassicas....

It’s all happening with the house preparations but this heat will not help. It’s called Spring Cleaning for a reason and we are finding that out sorting out the shed and garage. I love the colours that you have achieved in this kaleidoscope.

Good morning everyone from an already sauna hot morning in the dark and dangerous north. Must be a day for sitting in the shade and sipping on sugar free Mint Julep while reciting lines from Gone With The Wind in the style of French and Saunders.
Farmers Market yesterday and we picked up some Korean food for today (I know!). A couple of hand made cards for poorly friends and then a bit of street food ate with a spork as I threw the bread away. Called in at the local food bank. Mrs Miggins bought cakes and I had a go on the tombola. Luckily the Town Cryer was moving through the market extolling the virtues of said food bank so quite a few there making donations, buying cakes and so forth. Hid in the shade in the afternoon but we are playing in the garage later this afternoon once the heat of the day has cooled a bit.
Art - just started a row of trees. Hope you won’t melt in all this heat - plenty of shade and water for pets. Best make some koffy.

Morning all from a gorgeously blue skied, no socks no thermals Brecks. A few days of nicely mild weather are set to cheer me at least. Obviously some here don't cope well with such weather, especially with tasks to perform. Looking back on some of my happiest days, heavy manual work or charging around a cricket field on days like these stand out as where I thrived most. Thanks for the kaleidoscope @gennepher and the art @dunelm but hugs for you both in finding the weather too taxing for the tasks you must perform. @Krystyna23040 enjoy a well earned, relaxing stroll around Sheringham park. Remember The Sausage Roll Man in your rush for coffee:angelic:. Look after yourselves and all you meet. If you see someone with a back full of daggers, only able to turn right they are a candidate to lead Team Fruitcake. Steer well clear. Me? (Lyrics)

Keep warm...

Happy Sunday Morening ladies and gentlemen and all dreading the predicted temperatures for today.
A 5.2 for me, me’s and myself this morning.
Yesterday was a little bumble out on the motorcycle for a vegan bacon sarnie total mileage was 74.9 miles, I was home before Mrs J was back from fodder shopping. Result.
Hopefully attached is a picture of yesterdays koffy and sarnie.
Stay safe all.04E9951E-D061-4584-88F1-53E3487980AF.jpeg

All the very best with the therapy. I worked my way through trauma with CBT - worth the anxiety and not as painful as I thought - at least for me. Bone food without too much compromise on looking after your diabetes - calcium (seeds like poppy, sesame, celery, and chia. Cheese, yoghurt, sardines, lentils), vit D and K I guess and throw in some magnesium, zinc ( beef, prawns, spinach, flaxseeds, pumpkin seed and of course oysters) and some essential fatty acid (chia, walnuts, flax seeds). Here are some soup ideas - https://www.tarladalal.com/recipes-for-calcium-rich-soups-503#:~:text=Then there is the Protein, called Msaoor Dal Paneer Soup.&text=Broccoli benefits in bone health, recipe and broccoli broth recipe.

a most helpful post.
hadn't considered some of those.

the soups, (i do have one in mind now, the broccoli +carrot) was a good link.:)

mucho appreciato

Ideal was heavy duty during summer hols, warm inside during autumn, spring and winter except when playing football or rugby. Lumberjack/Lumberjill/Lumber non cis gender? Just how many clothes do those guys wear - not for me but I do like felling trees, splitting logs and digging up roots - digging and smacking with heavy tools in general. All done in this piddling little place now.

Afternoon fellow greaser, one day let’s hope you can ride again and perhaps we could meet up and snaffle vegan bacon sarnies, slurping koffy, while talking bikes.
Cafe’s never done Ryder’s or knowingly Whiteways. Nelsons is no more, Loomies is very popular hence I try to avoid it weekends.
.
I love going up to the Yorkshire moors and dales and have biking friends who live up that way Darlington, Hartlepool and one who was an underground train driver now live smack in the middle of the moors.
Non bikers will never understand the importance of good cafes that serve good koffy and food, they can look like old dives, that is not important just as long as the toilets are clean and the fodder is good.
I do the majority of my riding on my own at my own pace, stop every 40 to 50 miles to empty the bladder and then top up again with koffy, unless I’m going up to the dark and dangerous norf I set a maximum distance of 150 mile, riding at a pace that allows me to look around and appreciate the scenery and smells.
If I’m going to the dark and dangerous norf ( of Watford) then it’s approximately 280 miles 6 or 7 hours numerous koffy and bladder stops, checking blood sugars and eating accordingly, also stopping for longer if required till the blood sugars behave. This all sounds very responsible but then again I used to fly hang gliders and still have one somewhere in the garden.
Recover well and don’t over do it.5047449C-9714-4316-BBCC-F1E0709C58ED.jpeg5047449C-9714-4316-BBCC-F1E0709C58ED.jpeg
Enjoy the picture no offence is meant, but hope it brings a smile
3rd edit now, rereading this posting I get the feeling our @gennepher is a bit of a free spirit, I hope you are smiling Gennepher

Much appreciated @alf_Josiah

Only us riders really know why Dogs put their head out the window ...:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I pray to make that meet up :)
But not having been on a bike, I know I CAN, but that is a BIG step up mentally to doing,
( And in an acceptable & enjoyable form.)
One to be assessed carefully later on

But who knows :)

Furthest for me one ride was national motorcycle museum Birmingham way,.
Had an honda ntv 650 Back then.

The 900 easily out performs it, but it still holds a place in my heart.

I'm reminded of the old adage
"There are BOLD bikers
There are OLD bikers
But there are very few
OLD & BOLD bikers "

As for hang glider...nope.nooe nope
Risk assessment is so individual, those who poo poo the bike, have jumped out of perfectly good aeroplanes...

The only way I'd do that is if it was on fire.:wideyed:
And not a little ' flames' .

.full on fireball, if You please, before I'd jump..:hilarious::hilarious:

Safe travels my friend

As for Genn..still not sure if she's Angel
Or Hell's Angel ..mmh.;):D

But I do Think she'd fit right in, if she rode, these days

And the picture...very apt :hilarious:

Love it.:)

Afternoon all.

A shocker on the meter this am.

A 9...:wideyed:

Apart from HDU I haven't seen 9 since I started testing :arghh:

My own fault

Appetite poor of late but a little weight loss wouldn't go amiss but very conscious of bodies needs for decent repair

So I had brunch, intending to skip evening meal...but then late in the night felt peckish.

"Oh look suasage rolls in fridge", said some idiot..

Yes, dear reader you HAVE spotted it wasn't professor plum wot dun it.

Can't even say they were that tasty, even when flaky & crisp from the oven .:clown:

Lesson learned added to the kryptonite list
:sorry:

Lazy day, did a good bit yesterday.
Back to exercises now docs cleared my mind of danger
A little too much, most likely, but pacing isn't my strongest point :sorry:

An uncomfortable heat in London yesterday, little breeze.to speak of

A tad better today.

Enjoy your day
Happy Sunday, all.:)
