What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A kaleidoscope for @ianpspurs
I know you prefer kaleidoscopes to cats

Thank you so much, typically so very thoughtful. In picture or virtual form cats are fine and I know so many people find untold joy and feel they receive so much love from their cats. I just have an unclear memory of a traumatic childhood encounter with a cat that time won't heal. JKP is also highly allergic to cats.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who bask in the glory of another day called Sunday.
A 4.8 on that meter this morning, ho hum, I’m getting used to this guesstimating game of insulin dosage factoring in energy expenditure, ambient temperature and fuel ie food. Never mind, at least I woke up this morning and can plan another day of mischief and mayhem.
.
Today has been discussed with Mrs J and a plan has been agreed, I do what Mrs J says! There comes my opportunity for mischief .
Stay safe all and try to bring a smile to a strangers face

The hug is for the obvious sadness the falling out and reflection on previous mistreatment of Midnight caused. The reconciliation is wonderful news and the creative shows love and contentment all round. I'll also send a hug to @dogslife for the abdominal pain tempered by the excellent love and care from Mr D. Some very loving partners in this thread, human and non human.
Thank you@ianpspurs. :)

4.7 this morning. We are starting to get the house ready for our eldest daughter and family's visit next week. Or more accurately Mr K is getting the house ready while I drink coffee and chat to youngest daughter on.the phone. Eldest daughter now lives in Canada so it will be so lovely to see them.

You are welcome @ianpspurs
I have various childhood memories being bitten by dogs, and I still remember all of them in detail and have the scars. One was a black Labrador who bit me on my check. So, I still go to the other side of the road if I see one. And the same with the others.
So, I understand....
Hugs..

That will be brilliant @Krystyna23040

What a wonderful time to look forward to. So many memories to be made for the future.

Hello friends,

5.5 this morning. Today marks 11 years since losing my father to brain cancer :( feels like yesterday so today was pretty rough, plus still not being able to smell or taste normal after covid sucks!

Hope everyone had a better Sunday

Painful memories and sub optimal senses @Jojo85 so outstanding job on the fbg. Peace be with you.

Good morning all,

Fbg not as good with a 6.4, not sure why, maybe stress? But got to work on snacking less too. Hope tomorrow is a better day.

Enjoy your day everyone!

Good morning everyone from another day in paradise in the dark and dangerous north. Yesterday the plan was to go to the swing park for a while and then continue on to our favourite cafe. But no. Halfway there and the girl in the bubble decided that a change in the order of things was much more preferable - so, route change avoiding the swing park - just in case the order changed yet again. All was sweetness after that. In other news, an orchid that had lost the plot last year has now sprung into flower. A wonderful maroon colour and five more buds growing like crazy. Those trimming and watering tips on you choob payed off.
Art bit - the start of more trees - at this rate I will have saved the planet all on my own. Do nice things today and help the elderly across the road whether they need help or indeed want to cross the road in the first place. Koffy, must make koffy.

Good morning all on another summer's day here with, initially, a breeze to modify things for those who are finding the going hard to firm. Guess who went into Newmarket yesterday? The course meteorologists here predict no rain for at least this week. This area always seems to be rather like a dust bowl anyhow being impacted by The Fen Blow. @Jojo85 hug for the higher than desired fbg but stress certainly elevates bg. I hope #snackwatch goes well. @dunelm good news on the orchid and thanks for sharing the art. One has to admire TGIB as a young lady who knows her own mind - eventually. My MIL says she's managed to cross roads for most of her 92 years and since there a few "eccentrics" on here thanks but no thanks. Enjoy summer '22 carefully and respect the right of others to do so. In the deep, dark, cold of winter just remember how good a little warmth felt when you may need to choose to heat or eat.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all trans species Neanderthals, see I’m learning to be “woke” friendly, let me explain I woke up this morning so I shall try to be friendly to all….until they annoy me. Think long haired leather jacketed motorcyclist. Just kidding hehehehe.
A delightful 6.8 on that meter this morning.
Here in Tilehurst Towers the day might continue with sword, shields painting and planter refurbishing, I shall be glad when they are all finished.
Whoops Mrs J has just woken up, must go and make her late ( for me ) tea.
Be good stay safe and find enjoyment where you can, life is fun and as said in Startrek “Make it so”

My blood sugars definitely are higher when I am stressed.and when I snack too much. I find that the two always seem to go together.

sounds like it was a perfect day yesterday @dunelm

4.8 this morning. Really strange - I have never ever had two consecutive fbg readings in the 4s before.
