Most definitely rifle shot - it's illegal in UK to shoot them with a shotgun.guess they are shot with a rifle, some game has too much shot in if shot with 12 bore.

Unlike rabbit, hare and game birds, I guess. That's one thing that puts me off - the bits of lead that have to be fished out. Most definitely rifle shot - it's illegal in UK to shoot them with a shotgun.
Like a Texas attorney, I'd guess ..?The late William Whitelaw is alleged locally to have shot a beater. I wonder what he tasted like?
They have a rather amusing non vegan calender.

Very hard to expect you all to have a great day having read your posts but give it beans anyway.. (Such a pain hyperlinks are greyed out for me )
Might my post re my emoji's issue, be of any use ...![]()
I am having problems posting this morning, it said it was refusing to let me post unless I installed some cookies @jjraak @lindisfel @ianpspursA very wet day in prospect for North Cumbria and temperatures dropping to more 'normal' levels.
Definitely a day for inside work.
It seems some may having trouble posting as usual?

A cousin of mine stalks deer on weekends. Sometimes it’s nothing as there are very strict rules about taking down deer with a rifle, has to be a clean shot.I guess they are shot with a rifle, some game has too much shot in if shot with 12 bore.

Fabulous burst of autumn.Fbg 8.9
From my wildlife trail camera
Cat, Midnight, is on the ground as the eyes of the fox in the bushes are watching him...
The small flock of sparrows who live in my garden are not fighting as much last few days. It is almost like the fighting and posturing were among those seeking a new partner. Mrs Bluetit and Mr Greatit from earlier this year are still flying with the sparrows. And the little Dunnock who has also been flying with the sparrows eats the bits that drop from the sparrow feeders. But a lot of the fatball bits settle on the leaves of the evergreen bush underneath so the little Dunnock feeds safely above ground off those. Mr Robin flies with the sparrows as well. And they all feed together. I can't tell which bird sounds the alarm call when Mr Magpie or the raven flies over, but they vanish in a flash. One bird they don't regard as a danger to them is the wood pigeon I call Mr Heffalump. He is big and fat and lands most ungracefully among them.
Today, as regards food, I am now unable to eat totally the way I had worked out in the past in order to help control my diabetes, because of this recent rapeseed oil problem for me in foods. So, for the next few days or so, I will be eating the older/previous staples in my kitchen larder and freezer. The stuff I know didn't upset my stomach and cause a reaction. I am working out some new stuff. Been YouTubing for recipes and ideas. So my blood sugars are probably going to be all over the place until I find something/a plan I am able to keep to regardless of what is available in the shops at any particular point of time. Yesterday afternoon was just carbs in the form of porage. I don't normally eat porage, too many carbs for me, but Amazon delivered a different protein powder yesterday (I have tried several protein powders over the last two years, they just didn't agree with me, but then I was using them as a protein drink which I just don't like), and I mixed a spoonful into the cooked porage. I should have considered it was going to thicken it a bit much. I didn't think about that. So I will try a liquidy porage tonight with a spoonful of the protein powder, and that should thicken it perfectly. It agreed with my stomach, and I slept well last night.
Creative today using Procreate is a painting of autumn.
Time for a cuppa.
Have your best day.

We had a look at M&S online for Christmas food - best comedy price list of the year.Lots of things and ideas on here and a pleasant way to start a disgustingly wet and dismal morning. M&S are offering a fresh goose for a mere £94 for Christmas. I bought one from Lidl at the weekend for £24, admittedly it was frozen and came from Hungary but it was and still is excellent. Cholent for supper
Thank you for your porage idea @dunelmGood morning everyone from the anticipation before the rain here in the dark and dangerous north. Another 5.1 on the scales of justice. I have found to my cost that taking my blood pressure tablet on an empty stomach results in the contortionist writhing of the mega cramp dance. So, I am now resigned to having to eat something first thing in the morning - grrrh! A couple of eggs will do but what else? I have been experimenting with porridge - I like porridge but it sends my blood sugars into space. So, I have arrived at the following; 1 tablespoon of oat fibre, half a tablespoon of milled linseed, half a tablespoon coconut flour, a scant half teaspoon of whey protein isolate and some milk - sit in the fridge overnight - then a splash of double cream, a few berries and zap in the microwave. So far so good and no massive spikes.
Art bit - finishing of the scratchy details. Colour to be added. I hope that your day is a good one, I shall now finish my koffy.

Thanks Ian.Morning everyone which for each of you may be good bad or indifferent. @dunelm thank you for the art which is obviously going to be amazing with the final colour added and also for the porridge idea. @gennepher thanks for the video and creative which holds the hope of brighter days. Thanks to your ingenuity and perseverance there is also light on the horizon for you in terms of a safe menu. @SueJB we had a Lidl goose on Sunday as we have on the Sunday closest to November 11 for a few years now. As you say they are excellent and stand comparison to the "local, free range" premium price ones we have had previously. @jjraak thanks for the possible solution to no goodies for my posts. Yesterday's lat flow was negative and I seem to have managed 7k steps so progress of sorts. Today the venerable old veehickle needs an MOT so we will venture back into the real Fens of Cambs to our preferred 4x4 experts. Do try to grab yourselves as much joy as possible but don't be surprised should she object vociferously. I'm rather pleased that the good folk of Arizona rejected Kari Lake .
Thank you @ianpspurs and hope that the vernerable charriot passes muster. Ah, that Kari Lake.
