What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.7

I forgot to mention yesterday that one Michael took my blood pressure, it was absolutely perfect. And I said to Michael are you sure you've done that right, because they always have to do it two or three times to get it lower, and considering the morning I have had trying to get to the surgery, I'm shocked it's nomal...

You Tube video on my nighttime TrailCam...
These two foxes were in the pouring rain mooching around, but looking out anxiously for that big black cat...

Creative is an autumn painting, working on some earlier saved versions of yesterday's painting, but it still ended up a dark painting. I'll start a new one for tomorrow.

You have your best day...

Indeed...fuel costs improve dramatically...haha

For the likes of wikihow (and Amazon etc) I sometimes find some of the best info is in the comments section.

As in how & what people use it for & how effective the product was
Or tips to use other products etc

Good luck fixing this issue .
Oh yes it most certainly would @jjraak
I agree...my first port of call is go to the comments section...
Thank you.

Thank you @gennepher and @jjraak - I just don't know how Archie is still s****ing the way he is as he hadn't eaten any food. He is a bit upset this morning because he wanted his breakfast and we wouldn't let him go with Poppy for the morning walk.

Hopefully the vet can sort it. Actually I think Mr K is slightly mad to go for the walk in -4.5°. He has just got back and says it wasn't too cold. Really!

Mr K is a hardy individual (like my postie yesterday, in sub zero temperatures doing his round in his summer shirts...aren't your knees cold I asked)...

Hopefully the vet can sort out Archie x

Morning everyone on St Lucy’s Day - Sankta Lucia. Originally the winter solstice, shortest and darkest day, before the calendar changed from Julian to Gregorian . The Swedish make more of this - not available in flatpack. Songs and bilingual lyrics here. https://www.mamalisa.com/?t=es&p=5023 . JKP is out early for nativity watching. Focus will be an angel - costumes are bought these days, no tea towels and dressing gowns for shepherds or late night wing making - before returning in the afternoon to see grandson play piano solo then drums in the band. I’m minding the homestead. The big bag of cat litter we bought to soak up unused cream pre-binning provides excellent traction on the tarmac driveway - who knew? Back into Cambs yesterday to deliver cards and catch up - more a series of medical briefings really. Found out more detail on property we have viewed. One of which could be viewed from where we sat drinking tea. The lovely lady seller who we met briefly has sadly died but peacefully in her sleep. Not sure how the spy network hadn’t noted our visit, probably as we used JKP’s car. Striketastic December is here but is Dishy up to the job? - see attached. @gennepher thanks for the video and creative, winner for the blood pressure. @Krystyna23040 hope Archie is ok and Mr K must have appreciated those knee length boots you bought him yesterday. They are his present from you surely? Car key? thing of the past. The JKPmobile is keyless with nary a lock in sight and woe betide the hearing of anyone within miles if one walks away with the key. Even the venerable old one has plip and go. Have a (insert your own comparative/superlative) day.

Great stuff with the blood pressure reading and a smashing dark autumnal scene

Good morning everyone on another cold and frosty morn’ here in the dark and dangerous north as we hurtle round the giant sun lamp during the annual Daylight Robbing Time towards the 21st December when hopefully things will slowly pick up again. Unless of course Ray Sunbeam, head of the lamplighters union decides that all members, including knocker uppers and knocker uppers knocker uppers reduce the flow of particles. This, perhaps is why, over in the Uselessness of A, they are bragging about fusion. Blood pressure tablets changed yesterday for something with potentially fewer side effects. Zero would be good. I can imagine a future where humanity solves the climate crisis because I am on powerful medication. Art bit, some details added. Hope your day is a good one despite the added bonus of Jack Frost or piles of snow. I shall have koffy and put on another jumper.

Having had a motorbike in the days when it was 'hands on' we would clean all the HT leads with rag and WD 40, then just a light covering on areas of EHT where tracking could occur. Cleaning out distributor with the cars then and then a light covering of WD 40, the only place for GT 85 is on mechanical bits.
Oil on locks is just an expedient they should have a dry lubricant if one does not want oil on clothes.

Winner for so kindly sharing your gradually developing art and the humorous way you glide over the obvious medical issues and the attendant side effects of that which is meant to be, if not a cure, at least managing the problem. Hope the Dr comes up with something better. My potions professor swears Boomslang skin and Billiwig sting will help me bowl 20 overs up hill into the wind again. Colour me skeptical, rub me in lard and beat me with a rolled up Racing Post on that one.

FBG 12.1 Last night it dropped to 3.4 and, although I still felt OK, I thought I'd be daft to go to sleep with bg so low. So I had one of the jelly babies I keep for the purpose. Hence 12.1 this morning.

I phoned the GP practice yesterday to check on accessibility of the podiatrist's surgery. It turns out that the only way in is around the back of the building. That shouldn't be a problem but what is a problem is that there is only one disabled parking space anywhere near and in the middle of the day it, and all the other potential parking places are always crammed full. The vehicle parked in the designated disabled places is rarely displaying a blue badge - a frequent problem in Stornoway where people just park willy-nilly as close as possible to where they want to be and most streets are narrow, so to park on a yellow line, of any sort, would probably block the road. Well, we shall just have to see how it goes.

Em went off to school today feeling a bit nervous. This evening is the performance of the school play and she is not feeling confident. I tried to reassure her and she went of happily enough but still a bit nervy. She'll probably enjoy it when it comes - she's a born performer, like her mum, although very unlike her dad. Her mum used to play a harp and a guitar and went around folk clubs performing but her dad appeared on stage once, at the same age as Em is now, singing in a gaelic choir at the local mod. He came out swearing never to do that again. He has gone to the local folk club and sang with his wife, so she has been good for his confidence but he really doesn't like the experience although he has an excellent singing voice.

Thank you Ian...

I remember those making of late night costumes and wings...and the tears from the dissatisfied child...

Looks top heavy now @dunelm , ready to tumble into the abyss...but I would love the view from one of those windows from an artist perspective and study the sky. You would not catch me on that walkway though, if I was on it I'd be crawling on hands and knees.

Accessibility is the big problem with the selfishness of other people who think oh a disabled person is not in that space, so I can use it...I had a massive argument with a friend who has that mentality and sees nothing wrong in using her husband's badge to get that space (hubby is at home).
Oh, it's too far to walk to meet you she says. It's not. I said to her, one day you'll lose the use of your legs, and you'll be dependent on a blue badge, and you won't be able to find a space, because an able bodied person like you are now will be parked in it. She just shrugs it off what I say with that little laugh of hers.

Does she realise that what she is doing is illegal and she could be prosecuted?

Yes she does @Annb She has already been caught by a traffic warden a few years ago. She was fined a hefty sum of money, and her hubby's badge taken off him for a period of time. He desperately needs that badge.

But she carries on doing it...
