What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hope the scan goes well and a happy birthday to Nan London for tomorrow and fingered crossed that JKP will get the visit.
Thanks. Obviously awaiting written report but the young lady doing the scan said nothing obviously wrong/worrying. Nan London is in a bay with no visitors but .......

Off to local town this am to get a new battery (which was on its last legs) for the fabia from ATS.
Paid the last Council tax, at the local garage pay point and nipped into Lidl to get some eggs.
Marjorie dropped off at the other end of town to pay another bill then we were off to get my meds from the out of town chemist near doctors surgery who never can find them and they sent me a text last week.
I can see right over the screen and see the mayhem of finding the made up meds each time they do it. They never improve they need someone to sort out their location system!
Was knackered by time we came home, I don't have much in reserve nowadays so went to sleep for an hour after lunch.

Enjoy the sleep of the just. Not quite as good as the sleep of the just after but nostalgia ain't what it used to be for any of us.

Our pharmacy has similar problems even though they look appear to have shelves with letters of the alphabet on. I think ours depends upon who is looking. Maybe let them know that the Dewey Decimal Classification System is best used for books. Enjoy your nap.

I would have needed a couple of hours sleep after that lot @lindisfel
I need an hour's sleep just after the effort of trying to collect my medicines.
I think you did brilliantly this morning.

All the cats have decided that the surprise jelly Whiskas is their preferred choice. I haven't opened the other box yet - it has different flavours.

Nighttime Trail Camera.
Cats & Fox interactions
Cat on the swing, Jade, appears to be comfortable with very close interactions with the fox.

Creative is a painting with ZenBrush3.
I was playing with colours yesterday. The only thing with ZenBrush3 is that there are a limited amount of undo strokes, sometimes it is 3, sometimes is 5 undo strokes. With Procreate and other apps there are often many undo strokes. And I often use layers in these apps to experiment with the next stage of the painting.

But in ZenBrush3 there are no layers either. At the moment I am using a more English way/techniques of painting in ZenBrush3. I find it a lot easier to do traditional Chinese painting or Sumi-e in ZenBrush3.

Then in the morning, I might spend another hour finishing the painting depending on my thoughts and mood for the day.

I am experimenting my way at the moment, and seeing what transpires.

It was windy and rainy last night, and so I didn't put my recycle bags out last night, otherwise they would've scattered to the 4 winds. Just got them out now, the wagon can come just before 7am...

Time for a cuppa...

Have your best day you can!

Good morning everyone. Very quiet in here this morning and very calm, bright and promising outside here - sunny intervals and a moderate breeze. Today Nan London is 93. JKP is waiting to hear if hospital will allow a visit but the main thing is she, NL, is being treated and making progress @gennepher good news that the cats enjoy the surprise gift and that you met the recycling deadline. Thanks for the creative and insight into how that was produced. I like the light blue (Cambridge Blue?) Today I am off across very Fenny Fen roads - literally sinking in places - for more immunotherapy. Chased up missing appointment yesterday and was given some options so all good for me but obviously not for everyone. Need to fit around potential visit to Addenbrookes, school pickup then feed and water two grandchildren. Two car day, thanks be to God for that blessing. Today's poem and art last one tomorrow - hope some have enjoyed them just as poems and art. Peace be with you all.

Hi Ian.
Thank you.
I was trying to create what I call duck egg blue, which to me is a cold sky with ice crystals in it...

Good luck with navigating the boggy fens for your appointment @ianpspurs

Just a quick post.

No FBG as awaiting delivery of strips ...my failure to not order in time .

Spotted a news item..

Big pharma is something I'm sure we on here have all heard about

"Dope sick" series (worth the watch ) documented the opioid epidemic in the US

A docu/film about the family & company responsible for the epidemic won an award

There’s no going back now that Whiskers has been sampled and approved. Are you sure that the cats didn’t have something to do with that mystery parcel? Interesting insight of the ZenBrush3 workings and a smashing result.

Good luck on the journey.

Nice to see a car serves a real purpose, rather than the wannabe "explorers" here in their Chelsea tractors that struggle to manage even the smallest speed bump.. :hilarious:

And hopefully not jinxing anything, but a run of good results/news of late, me thinks .

Long may it continue

Good national bin day Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, happy birthday where appropriate and safe travels for a hopefully successful outcome @ianpspurs.

Blood sugars this morning were 4.8, a level provoking calculation etc, etc, etc.

Well fellow posters and painters, I feel truly left out, let me explain, our new lettuce Sishi Runak or something along those lines has decreed that everyone should receive maths education up to the age of 18 years old, well what about those of us that surpassed that physical age, but yet to achieve that mental age, I am running on my third childhood of approximately 12 years old according to Mrs J and Mrs J is always right. Now what can I do about this?

I shall go on strike like half the country according to the media and politicians. Next week I will be withhold my labour on Tuesday and Wednesday next, more days will announced, being retired I have plenty of days to choose, now I must write to my MP, oh blast the postmen are on strike!

Stay safe, stay compost mentise.
