What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

A Happy and blessed Easter Sunday to you all whatever your faith, none or undecided. Very sunny just now here but at 9c not to my taste as yet. Thanks for all your replies to my query which was essentially about how to take in enough calories when eating LC: @Krystyna23040 @jjraak @gennepher @dunelm @Annb and @alf_Josiah. I'm also conscious that people on here are and need to be active in very different ways so I apologise for anyone feeling I have first world being active problems. LC always struck me as a trendy celeb weight loss fad and that is pretty much how it has played out for me but I've been here long enough to know many others find real benefits eating that way. LC has never delivered what it says on the tin for me. Any good control/remission I have I attribute to inevitable weight loss and moving about a bit. A moment of reflection on my tastes would have made it obvious from space how I would react to LCHF.. Also, Lent has skewed some of the calorific intake but generally cals in with LC is an issues for me. @lindisfel hug for the transit issues - something else LC doesn't help imho. @dunelm must be quiet without the grandchildren and thanks for the art. Enjoy your day however active you are and whatever you eat. Lamb here today but very definitely not leg.
Edit: covid test -ve so I guess the grotty symptoms is hay fever.

Right on cue the other point of view but this caveat is lodged in my mind: The report found a fifth* of all patients at the practice with type 2 diabetes achieved remission. The article also mixes and matches low carb and low calorie which sort of chimes with my issue.
*Very quiet about the 80% and possible downsides which is suspiciously like something else we can't mention.

Hi Ann,
A story for Easter.
Two friends of ours, their grandchildren, twin boys, they must be about 14, are apparently getting baptised in a Loch just south of Stornoway this Easter.
When I asked if the water was cold, no they would be ok they would be wearing their wet suits.
D.
Well - if you were here today, you would be wanting a wetsuit before dipping into any loch.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who just don’t care what sort of Sunday it is as long as the sun shines.
Blood sugars today were 6.4

Now if I am successful attached should be Mrs J’s latest paint by numbers of the great A’Tuin google if you must. Due my inability to discover how to rotate said pictures I have attached 2 copies rotated and unrotated.

Update on yesterdays pressure washer saga, part on order and hopefully it will fix the issue.
I managed to escape the hair cut, but Mrs J attacked me, me’s and myself this morning, luckily it was just a thinning cut with nothing taken off the length.

In a few moment I shall be having a distinctly not low card lunch with the grandchildren which is guaranteed to destroy my evening blood sugar reading.
Never mind life is four living or for living spell how you please, I consider myself lucky I can still count up to 10, can you?

Stay safe all

On the nighttime wildlife camera

An extremely busy night of cats, foxes, & badger

Mostly a pair of foxes...

Creative is Lighthouse #22 painted in Procreate...

I am late in posting because I have been trying to put together a mini greenhouse which was the pinnacle of unputtogetherable.

Not just because you needed to have octopus arms to hold all the bits together, but the way it was designed, you wouldn't ever be able to move it, because it would would fall apart into 3 bits anyway...

Duct tape to the rescue...

It is blinking freezing out there, despite the sun.

Have your best kind of day.
I am tucked up in bed trying to get warm again...

A friend of mine was baptised in Summer and I think everyone wanted to jump in as it was so hot!

Hug for the struggle but winner x 10 for the word unputtogetherable. - absolutely perfectly describes the process. Thanks for sharing the lighthouse - don't see a minaret there. I zoned out on the stormy sea after a femtosecond and concentrated on the clear saving light - Easter. Enjoy a less frustrating day and any produce from that structure will taste all the better.

I came off a landing craft onto the island of Hoy one February. Fully clothed - lost 4 inches in height and looked like I had painted my face with woad.

Another smashing lighthouse and a huge smile for the word unputtogetherable, my new preferred pronoun.

Well the sun was shining so it was a walk through the woods and down to the sea. So lucky to have this so close to the house. Up the cliff on the funicular and a walk to the town square only to find that the bus was just pulling in. Smashing morning and with refreshments half way at the Victorian cafe in the woods (cash only, no internet here chaps - we are Victorian after all). 3.8 miles according to the fitbit.

6.3 this morning before traipsing around a car boot - freezing! I did however get a good workout according to my Fitbit. I picked up the complete works of Shakespeare which I will be reading on and off, as well as some other books. Finished two books last week so I am sticking to my new year goal of reading more, and I must say my mind eases when I read so all good!
