Afternoon
@ianpspurs hmmm
Define physically active, it’s different for each of us. 10 000 paces is a memory for me.
Low carb and also low carb and high fat did not work me and also just low carb does not work for me.
Can you remember the unofficial who gets the lowest blood sugar competition or so it seemed and also the longest fasting fad that a few followed?
Bitter experience has taught me that I need carbs to function in the morning, for me carbs mean energy to carry out my task’s during the day. I also eat lunch, followed by an afternoon nap till approximately 14:00 hrs but normally stop my tasks about 16:30hrs then rest up.
I enjoy my life and feel privileged to be alive after many visits to the surgeons table taking some extremely powerful anti rejection drugs every day, I always look for the bright side of life, bring a smile to a face known or unknown even if it is at my expense, I just don’t care. I evaluated many years ago what is going to kill first, diabetes or the side effects of my medication.
Diabetes is not going to kill me first , therefore I concentrate on the medication, realising that I need carbs, which enables me to do things which also makes me happy and brightens up my day.
Now this my philosophy with my medical conditions.
Knowing a little of your medical battles from your postings I would throw the diabetes concerns to one side and spend your energies on finding out what gives more energy enabling you to enjoy you life, grandchildren and importantly your body to fight the medical battles
My weight remains approximately constant and I am classified as obese.
Good luck, remember the bulk of this posting is how I handle carbs
