What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

11.1 at 4.30 am.

Wind has dropped now, but it has been pretty wet.

DIL starts a new job on Monday, as a classroom assistant at a school a few miles down the road. She will stay on the list for home carers but won't be taking many shifts in an attempt to ease the pressure on her back. The job is only part time but she will be at home in the evenings and early mornings so I shall probably be seeing less of Em - at least at breakfast time. It will also give her more time to do the laundry work and admin. Keeping fingers crossed that nothing else goes seriously wrong.

I hope things go well for DIL but you will miss seeing so much of Em. Swings and roundabouts are like sporting decisions, they never completley even themselves out.

Afternoon team.

A few very acceptable 5's nudged aside by this morning's naughty 6.1...late night meal...ho hum

Nice to see sunak making time from Sorting out our nhs doctors crisis to accept Bidens invite for a latte ...

On no, sorry my bad ....he couldn't be bothered with that either

Winner for using bothered. Think Joe is saying "Good boy for listening to what you're told. Now be a good little fella and run along. I'm busy clearing up and picking up the tab for the mess you people made."

We all know you would advise your clients to slow down, rest and allow the healing process to work. We also know what will actually happen hence the rating, Double hugs for the injury and being made that way. Some people just accept things - very rare on here which is obvious given a moment's thought.:banghead:
Did I actually rest and allow the healing process to work today. Maybe not. 11.5K steps and two 1:1s that I slotted into the afternoon is probably not an ideal day.

I don't know what happened to this post I must have nodded off and tried doing automatic writing.

Don't worry @lindisfel
I do that often, with these posts, painting lighthouses, on chat, and especially with email...I often write an email to a friend before I go to sleep, but fall asleep before I finish...
When I wake up however, my draft email is nowhere to be seen...
Oh no, not again.
But the little arrow by my friend's email tells me I have replied to her email.
Panic...
Where's 'sent' emails....
Oh no...
I hurriedly write a codicil to my sent email...
My friend replies...'spellcheck and grammar check were having a creative day there...'

Even my imagination cannot make up the inventive stuff that A.I. writes when I am asleep and my finger is sliding around the keyboard...

I can imagine in the brave new world of AI our robots will be buying stuff without our permission gradual gaining more power to take over our lives so eventually they become our owners and we their pets/slaves.:)
Don’t buy a so called Intelligent fridge/freezer - you may not like what it begins to stock.

Good morning from the future that is an hour ahead in the City of Saintes, France. Finally arrived here at 9pm due to flight delay, missing our train connection and the next one cancelled due to strike action - c’est la vie! Or should it be je suis désolé? Anyhow, first world problems and rather than worry, we spent our time waiting for another train by consuming moulles frits and a carafe of Bordeaux (well we were in Bordeaux). Art bit - a doodle to while away the time on the flight out. Hope you are enjoying International Bin Day, if you participate that is. I have had a mug of tea and need to play with the cafetière. Happy Songkran everyone.

I needed to put out the recycle for the bin men who come around 7am.
But the badger, KissyKissy was still in my back garden at 6:45am...
Finally at 5mins to 7am, I braved the recycle dash...as fast as I can on 2 crutches...

Nighttime wildlife camera
Cats & Fox & Badger

Cat Midnight, gives the Fox, Foxy Loxy, a verbal warning...

Creative is Lighthouse #26 painted in Procreate.
But because of this turn in bad weather, my hands have gone incredibly stiff annd painful, and so I can't paint properly on this tablet. It was an appalling lighthouse. So, I put it through a few different app effects, and this is what you get...

I am in need of a nap, and a cuppa after that badger evasion…

You have your best day…

Perhaps not the answer you asked for .....but thought I'd mention it while I remember to.

I sometimes write a post for here, get sidetracked ( as you do  ) and when I go back.. the editing version has disappeared :arghh:

However, if I refresh page, asap....Voila...the pre post edit re-appears.
