Thank you!Wow! Glorious image.

So much to regret in our pasts. Nobody should ever have died unnecessarily whether in war or not. Not ever. But somehow we never learn to improve on our past mistakes. In fact, "we" don't even remember them and that's one of the reasons we keep on making the same ones.Perhaps......you have to watch the French, they nearly changed the outcome of the Falklands war with their Exocets and fast fighters sold to the Argentinians.
Talking about equivalence of lives lost at sea I don't think Thatcher should have sent all those young men on the General Belgrano to the bottom of the South Atlantic.

Sounds like Little Miss Sparrow is on life's great adventure now.23.06
6.50am FBG 6.1
Out to check on Little Miss Sparrow before allowing Kiki access to the back garden. Can't see her or Pa sparrow, so am hoping she is off into her life now.
Kiki did go up the nearest tree after a sparrow, one of many here, but of course it flew away, so she came down and went racing after a nearby redstart which was also giving out alarm calls. Of course that flew away as well. Then Kiki seemed to realise there is easier prey and went to hang out by a vole colony, but she wasn't hungry and soon came over to where I was planting out tomatoes for a game of tag.
MrSlim has started on his next project. Renovating the potting shed, which is a concrete block structure with a corrugated pressed fibre roof, slightly damaged by a falling tree. There are vegetable beds on three sides, so far the damage to plants has been minimal, but MrSlim sustained some injururies, best described as lacerations to his forearms, when the beam he was attempting to remove was firmly attached and brought down some of the wall as well. We dressed the wounds and bandaged them. Then he went back to continue with the demolition. The damage to the wall has added at least a week to the job , which seems to be all he is concerned about. Now it requires a scaffold to be placed in two of my vegetable beds...
I could scream
I totally agree with dunelm.Tricky one. It was only hit by two old torpedoes. Pretty minimal I think but the previously fired modern ones failed. In conflict you aim for the centre of the body. It’s nothing fancy but it works. I have been in three armed conflicts, four if you count the streets of Belfast - I would sooner the politicians be given clubs and used as gladiators if they can’t sort themselves out.
Hope you find it is the best case scenario for your eyesight.Morning
Busy little week so far.
BG stuck in the 7's.. (7.6 today)
Eye tests (opticians) say the vision in left eye deteriorated, which I suspected might be macular degeneration (cheers Google)
Turns out optician states it's erm, some sort of stretch mark on the eye.
I felt relieved at the DX.
Letter for GP to see if they can arrange macular specialist to look at it & suggest remedies .
(Seem a simple op with no concerns....or not , depending what you read ).
Once finished at opticians popped into work (it's nearby).
And once I realised they had a major issue offered to stay a few hours to help out.
Add in gym rehab last night (very light session due to fatigue)
I came home cream crackered, so today's going to be a rest day.
Hope all are as well as can be expected today.
One feels the world is getting more and more unsafe and we need wise politicians to steer us through it.Conflicts armed or otherwise.
“ Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent “ a famous quote by Isaac Asimov.
Also a track of a Pink Floyd record “ Keep Talking “ with Stephen Hawkings voice.
I totally agree with dunelm.
Ps I’m not a pacifist, these days just see the total futility of conflict, let those with….enough said on this subject.
Submarines, truly dreadful and perhaps in the future the testing and engineering science involved in the aircraft industry will be applied to the submariner industry.
Stay safe all
Outrageous slur on Alexander/Donald Fox - totally innocent. It was that cat - lock it up. The chairperson/judge/DOJ/ is biased/ it is a witch hunt/fake news/ Brexit revenge/ all marsupials. Knighthood/pardon please.Oh yuk @gennepher. What a naughty fox
Cheers @ianpspursHope you find it is the best case scenario for your eyesight.
Liking thatDecided to do Glasto with flush loos, pause live moosick and snacks on demand - stocked up at W*****se earlier. "Singer-songwriter Ben Howard was the first person to play one of the main stages this year, with an early morning, blissed-out set on the Other stage." Glad I followed up and googled his work - now where's our yurt JKP?
Ben Howard - I Forget Where We Were - cool vid
Need a bucket hat fella (cowboy hats are trending though). Keep off the grass - and all other "medicinals." Texas on the pyramid stage just now. Charlene has really altered since NeighboursLiking that
Might be asking Alexa to play me his best of, over the weekend.
Hi jjraak,Cheers @ianpspurs
The colour really does cause a 3D effect!Good morning everyone on what may, or may not be a sunny day or a sunny day interspersed with thunder and the songs of Stevie Nicks here in the dark and dangerous north. The task today is to take eldest son and his partner to Newcastle Airport so that they can fly off to somewhere even hotter than it has been here of late. There has been talk of a visit to a large Swedish furniture place on the way back for refreshments and to ogle at at all things not yet built and with unusual ways of assembling things (example below). Art bit, some colour added. Enjoy your walk @lindisfel and hope everyone has a decent day of it. Must be koffy time.
