What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Yesterday finished repotting all the tomatoes. Until five mins later turned round and saw I had missed a box. Another 18 still need larger pots or a place in the ground.
7.35am FBG 5.7
Plans for the day:
Watering potatoes.
Bit of market shopping before it gets hot.
Finish reporting tomatoes.
Except, some potato plants have disappeared. So started digging to find if any potatoes had been produced. Ended up watering and earthing up half the bed. Then shopping, but at supermarket. Boulangerie and Boucherie. Luckily it is mostly cloudy so more work on potato bed when I got back. Still can't be in the sun because of sunburn. So abandoned that when sun came out.
Repotted three large tomato plants and am now out of compost. Guess it's Normandy clay from molehills for the rest. They are all long overdue some care and attention, have got tall and skinny, may not be much fruit, but still I find it Impossible to just throw them into the compost bin.
Wow, what a lot of work. Hope you won’t need a Bordeaux Mixture to protect all those potatoes.

You should be pleased with your part in that especially keeping it off of Kiki's menu

Kiki appears to be gradually losing interest in birds. I don't think she has caught one yet and repeated failure may be teaching her they are impossible to catch. Certainly she is putting in less effort now. Of course her colouring makes her quite noticeable and she has a brightly coloured collar with a bell.

Potatoes are mostly succumbing to drought. Had to reduce watering due to needing to keep out of sun.

Just as well the garage bill for the car wasn't as bad as expected because the clutch gave up suddenly today. There was no indication that it was going but after parking it at the hospital, Neil tried to drive away and it wasn't working properly (wouldn't properly disengage). He managed to coax it around to the garage again, so they will look at it tomorrow. Very kindly, the garage owner (Alistair's boyhood friend) loaned us his van to get home and said we can hang on to it so that I can get back to the hospital tomorrow. He will pick it up when he brings the Scenic home for us when it's done.

What bad luck to have another mechanical problem so soon after the last. How nice rhat your garage owner is so helpful. Hope its bot too expensive a repair this time.

I believe some clutches are quite expensive to change I hope it's not on a Scenic.
D.
So do I. I am hoping that it isn't a major problem. It went so suddenly that I'm hoping it is just a broken spring, or something that has come loose. The clutch plates should be allright since there was no prior indication that anything was going wrong. But what do I know, I'm no kind of mechanic.

Good morning everyone on an overcast start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. A skip will be arriving this morning. Only a small one but it’s the excitement of it all. Back garden is still undergoing a makeover. Quite a lot of old bricks and rocks dug up and what’s left of the neglected old lawn to be lifted. The ground can then be prepared for some new turf to be laid. Wrong time of year really but it’s doable. Art bit - colour added. Hope your day is good to you and all the best with that clutch @Annb. Koffy is now ready.

It still is a bit claustrophobic after all.

I like your painting. It reminds me of a castle I have visited but can't remember which one.
