What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

5.4 this morning. A more relaxing day today.I

Yesterday I walked from my venue in Norwich to an appointment with my new dentist. It was only a 40 minute walk but I luckily allowed 1 hour 10 minutes.

I had printed directions from google as I am well known for having absolutely no sense of direction and didn't want to get lost. It all went hopelessly wrong when the directions said turn to the east - which I obviously didn't.

The 40 minute walk turned into one hour 8 minutes. The receptionist at the dentist said she also has the same issues and also cannot tell right from left - which can't either. It was so lovely chatting to someone who also has the same problem.

I was all ready to go out early this morning, shower, change of clothes. I turned around, my big bum, knocked my cup of coffee and double cream. It went all over my nice clean clothes, went all over my bedside table. It went on my bed, and what was the worst one it went over my pile of envelopes with the last two weeks of 2 sd cards (in each envelope) of videos from my trail cameras, which I've not had time to look at yet.

I don't have time to post and do my creative yet, I am trying to rescue all those sd cards...

I am telling myself this was the universe telling me not to go out this morning...and so has probably saved me from a worse disaster...
Hope you were able to rescue your SD cards @gennepher. You could well be right and you were saved from a worse disaster.

Oh dear, sounds so USA - very easy in a city all laid out in aligned blocks but not anywhere else. Why do we now need a compass? I use the online route plan and follow that but those A to Z books must still be the easiest way of following where roads and streets go.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are not happy with being called a Lady or Gentleman can I respectfully suggest you try bungee jumping without the bungee or shark baiting.
Hmmm having read the above paragraph I must be feeling grumpy this morning.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.1

Lots to catch up on here in Tilehurst Towers, Mrs J will just have to visit the local supermarket without my help, Mrs J doesn’t seem upset about this, one of life’s mysteries.
Have a great day all, stay safe, now it’s time to get on with my life.

The old part of Norwich is a maze of streets and alleyways. Luckily I switched on google maps on my phone and just followed the arrow - which actually was much easier to follow than my written instructions.

Good morning everyone on an overcast start to an overcast day here in the decidedly dark and dangerous north. It’s a bit rainy but never mind, better than being in a drought. 5.8 this am. Pots put away from last nights washing up and exercises done. Also, now that Mrs Miggins is up, bed made. Latest from the Zoe study indicates that ultra processed foods damage your brain: https://zoe.com/learn/podcast-ultra...aign=newsletter_week68_zsn&utm_content=2-68-2. Blimey, (No S… Sherlock) never would have guessed. Garbage in, garbage out. My body is a temple. One not too careful owner. Lots of restoration work needed. Art bit, mixed media, acrylics and Chinese ink. Probably going to play around with it. Happy birthday to Helen @lindisfel and I hope everyone has a pleasant day. I shall reward myself with another koffy.
Shame about the D and D there. Decidedly sunny and frequently close to a drought here. Thanks for sharing the art which somehow vaguely reminded me of the Eagles on the border cover but much more of a field where I walked the dogs back home. Presumably the Zoe team accounted for the effects of poverty, malnutrition and stress thereof on brain damage? Food banks don't usually take fresh, even organic, food. Are fruit and veg which have been sprayed and watered from UK rivers and dykes full of pollutants, your home grown F and V enriched by chicken and horse manure or gm food really NOVA category 1?

Helen is sixty today and was at Chester Zoo yesterday, one of her favourite places, today she will be looking at Roman Chester.
Hope she has a very happy day.

Perhaps it's not too wet!
We have had rain overnight and today in prospect is a very wet day in Cumbria, according to the forecast.
Have your best day.
Derek

Ps. I keep getting thwarted going down the Solway to see a Yankee, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Port Carlisle in the creek at low tide.
Happy 60th birthday to Helen. Hope she manages to get her day out in Chester, rain or no rain.

There are a lot of us out there Krystyna. I failed my first driving test for that very reason. Even now after 78 years of practice, I still have, often, to ask myself which hand I write with to get a direction right. As for turning east or west...who knows where they are? Actually my husband did - he had an amazing sense of where he was in the world, but then, he was a navigator. I don't think he ever really understood why I had no such sense.

Good questions,Ian.

It's perfect as it is. Such a gift you have.

Friend from Lincoln went to a University lecture on the Tokamac fusion plant they hope to build at West Burton between Lincoln and Retford. Used as a test bed for sorting out problems of power output at least rated, possibly in second half of the 21st century.

So it's not the Holy Grail to stop climate change.

Here in the Western Isles it is bright at the moment, but rain is forecast. It's about 7C but might go up to about 14.
The most gorgeous blue sky and 26°C here today and tomorrow. Windows and doors open but more importantly no socks, trousers or layers of nonsense:woot: Weatherwise Elbow days - even better if I was at Lords - but Alexa has chosen this and similar.

Good questions, the answers for me are unknown. I don’t have a problem with certain gm fruit and veg but pesticides and pollutants - our gov have a great deal to answer for and their slowness to act is perhaps not as bad as all the greed and trough feeding of those who still have big bags of silver.

Since the troughers basically get to decide what is Nova Cat 1 and in one form or another either own or are linked to the land/means of production we know the answer if we are honest. Supportive, well funded, scientists and the attached are in no way connected.
